There's a "big" storm heading toward all of us in the North East - looking at the radar loop, it should be knocking on my door any minute now :D

6-16 inches of snow - big fucking deal - wake me up when there's 7 feet in 24 hours like 2 years ago :D

Good morning from frigid south Florida.

Damn I had to get up and close my windows and put on the heat again last night but it is suppose to get up into the seventies today.

So much for the mild winter i was really getting used to.

The storm is supposed to hit us at around noon. You would think it was too cold here to snow too but, here it comes anyway :)

I'm watching one of the morning shows and they showed a cam of New York City's Central Park. It looks cold and desolate, not anyplace that I would ever want to be.

The chill in my house seems to be gone. Guess I better get my fat ass up and turn off the heat before it gets too warm in here.

It just started to snow here - maybe I should do some of those before/during/after shots :)

Not too bad here, I have a feeling the heat may be on tonight after seeing the 5 day outlook.... cold and rainy.....

The Pool House is very self-sustaining, as long as you don't mind eating nothing but popcorn :D

A friend of mine called me from Manhattan last night freezing her Russian ass off wanting to know if my guest room was finished yet. lol

Speaking of my guest room the tile dude called me yesterday and said that the rest of my tile has arrived and he would be here first thing Monday to start finishing it. Wow this means that by the end of next week my house actually might be completely finished.

Well, I just got my fat ass up and it's cloudy, you know, those blue/grey snow clouds, and -3..
Bundle up, baby..it's gonna be a cold one..

We are getting pounded with snow here GG. And its heading YOUR WAY.

I'm thinking that this should be good for sales with everyone in the north stuck indoors due to this storm.

are you one of those people that turns the thermostat up to 90F so the house warms up faster than setting it at 74F?

My wife is much like that. I just can't seem to explain to her that a thermostat is nothing more than an on and off switch :)

Nope, but I do like to make it too warm in the house so that when I get out of the shower it will feel nice and warm. I'll heat the house to about 78°F, then turn off the heat for the day and take a shower.

I also usually turn the shower on with it all the way to hot for about five minutes before I go and start my shower.

Shelter???

It has no walls, what does it shelter you from?

Well, it must have gotten really cold last night. I went out to start my truck and it wouldn't. So, I decide to start the car next to it to jump start it...nothing. So, I am now stuck here :)

Since we are showing pics this morning I thought I would snap a few fast ones off of my new kitchen plus one of my unfinished guest room. :D

I would have never thought to put a toilet in the guest room. Cleo, the Diva Designer -- homes designed for functionality. haha

The house looks great! I am sure you are glad that project is almost done, but, the results really look worth the time and effort and pain you put into it.

hey, that guest room has the same bedroom set we have. :)

I'm thinking of just leaving the toilet there for when you have to get up in the middle of the night to do your thing.

It's a hammer, it's a sex toy, it's the cure for that snorer.

We rent a big 20' x 30' or 40' tent for each party - usually 2 or 3 a year - so we decided that it'd be cheaper to build a little shelter instead of paying $250-400 to rent a tent. It's really just a roof.

But, oddly enough, there's very little snow under there :D

Leading edge of the storm is over my way now, although the weather folks say we'll get only 5 to 10" out of it (before lake effect kicks in obviously). At least with the cloud cover, the temp is raising a little bit..

In preparation for today's impending snowfall, my body tried to go into hibernation. I just woke up at 11:30. Looks like we're going to bag 10-18". Good. It'll cover up all of my construction debris in the backyard that failed to remove and is now frozen to the ground.

Noreaster Update!

Couple inches since 9 AM - no big deal :)

At least the dog piss got covered up

and the red signs, now if he needs the viper, he doesn't know where to look.

It`s coming down good on the island too. The drift on my deck is up over two feet now.
