Shit, that's an AdultMasterCash site. Bastards.

MadMax 2005-03-12 01:11 PM

Damn, and I just started promoting those fuckers. |angry|

Halfdeck 2005-03-12 06:07 PM

Sorry to ask a dumb question lol, but what's wrong with the header code? Yeah I see richardsrealm and tommys in the metas but those metas are just going to get crapped on by google (though I dunno about yahoo).

Thumbler 2005-03-13 11:17 AM

The problem is that it's a pretty pathetic attempt to get hits from people searching for Richard's site. Most people would consider it cheating.

and a very amateurish attempt too... I would never promote a sponsor doing that type of shit... it shows they don't know what they are doing

Wow,

Glad I never started sending traffic to them. Thanks for the heads up.

AdultMasterCash 2005-03-16 06:13 AM

Guys, Ladies.

It is quite simple in fact. This site has joined to our program some time ago. Of course we have not even looked in it's keywords and meta-tegs besides legality of them. This site is near a year with us and if you think we are willingly used these wordings on the single site while did not use them on others - it is a logical nonsence to me.
Actually, I think it would be ridiculous to use this wording hoping to make "mega bucks" with it :) And I am quite sure any webmaster who worked with us a while would not name us stupid. So there are two possible reasons of this incident:
1. We have gone crazy and decided to ruine all the reputation we've got for 3,5 years of business making idiotic additions to our sites metategs. Is it the case? I really don't think so :)
2. We've got these words with the site. I do not know who have added them - site owners, designer, unknown jocker... I can't help you with identifying this person sorry :) However, I am agree with you that keeping these words on site would be simply nonsence. We've removed them and soon this site will be modified to fit our multidesign feature and all keywords will be completely rebuilded to better reflect site's containment. This is all we can do in this situation - I am really doubt we have to prove we did not intended to get all WorldSex or RichardsRealm traffic using these metategs :)

I am sorry to everyone who was offended by this incident. To be honest, I think it is funny enough to just smile. But if anyone feels offended - I am really sorry. I will be more careful with details next time we invite foreign site to our program (if ever).

Peace.

Kinky 2005-03-16 06:17 AM

well it's nice that you think it is funny, but basically you have no control over the sites in your program? that have been there for over a year? and if you looked to see the "legality" of your metas you would have seen that infringing on trademarked names is "illegal"

AdultMasterCash 2005-03-16 06:35 AM

Of course we have control over the sites. But legality checking was made providing no words from particular list are contained in metategs. I have not read these metategs - basically because I would not think they may be used this way. And of course I would not think we should check them for all available trademarks besides illegal wording list :) It was quite surprisingly to me people can even think this would work.

Anyway, these words are removed now. I really do not know who have placed them there - and to be honest I do not think this means anything now. I brought my apologies to anyone who has been offended by it. Although I would not been offended if anyone would use our program name in their metategs I understand others may be.
Again: I am sorry.

Should I burn my hairs and post my bold head photo here to show I am sorry? :)

LOL well they did post that it has been changed as of today, but I have psychic powers if you read my previous posts in this thread regarding the blame game

Greenguy 2005-03-16 08:49 AM

So you bought a site, threw it online & never bothered to check what was in the html coding. Not too fucking bright if you ask me.

BTW - you still have "netverifier" in your metas - wanna explain how that slipped thru?

Oh, please. What are you trying to say? I admitted these metategs had been there - I didn't try to say that they had not. We just removed them immediately when one of our webmasters pointed me to this topic and I paid attention to eroticnymphets metategs.

To all people who could been misleaded with easy tone of my previous posts:
Yes we have fucked up with these metategs. We SHOULD have noticed and removed them earlier. We didn't, and I am very much ashamed and all our team as well.
No, we did not willingly place these metategs to this site - they were there before this site had joined our program.
Yes once I have been awared of this bug it has been fixed immediately.
I admit that it was our mistake. I am not trying to evade any responsibility. However, I really do not understand what are we supposed to do now (to your mind). All people who think that they have suffered from this incident are welcome to contact us and we are ready to discuss financial compensation if needed :)

It is definitely our mistake. No doubt. So what?
It was one little mistake for 3,5 years. All I can say about it - shit happens. It alway happens sooner or later when two or more people work on same things independently. It was really a little shit and I suppose we've got enough experience to not allow same things happen in future. That's all I can say about it since I consider this problem resolved (those who have financial claims to us because of this incident are welcome to contact us as I have mentioned earlier).

You have reviewers you are sure competent enough to complete relatively simple work. Do you think it would be wise to follow each of them and check everything they do?
It was simple tech procedure to include the site. We have used all the necessary standard procedures to ensure everything is fine. We didn't have any reasons to check if page contains words like worldsex or richards-realm - as this had never happen before.
And our tech specialists of course have not been supposed to detect this bug because it was not of technical nature.

It is just an accident. Unpleasant accident of course but we just had no way to foresee it - because it is absurdical to make such things. Just like you would not ever check
words Queen of England on free sites submitted to you (for example).

Grrrrmmm. I'll kill this guy who have edited the site. He seems to remove only
words, mentioned in the thread as wrong. I am going to make him switch his brain on now.
I'm really sorry about him. It is really nasty mistake after all :(

RawAlex 2005-03-16 09:50 AM

An accident is "woops, I dropped my coffee"... you don't accidentally ADD about 100 very specific words to your meta tags. "Oops, I typed Richards Realm twice"...

Come off it.

Your guy attempted to steal traffic from others be misleading SEs. When faced with it, he only removed a very small part of the problem.

Sad.

Alex

I'm giving up. We steal traffic from worldsex and richards-realm, then trying to "escape" when catched out. And Hun or any other big TGP/Linklist are trying to steal money from sponsors every time they list gallery using stolen content - and trying to "escape" by deleting it from listing when it is discovered.
Get real. We had no reasons for such a stupid speculations. No reasons ever - just pure pragmatism tells that most optimistic income from such an idiotic action would not overcome a threat of appearing in a thread like this.
It is up to you to believe us or not. I'm not going to argue any more. Just follow your common sence - ask yourself would you risk 3,5 years business for possible few thousands hits and if not ask yourself again why do you consider people to be more stupid than you.

edit: Ups, sorry - I just noticed you typed "your guy" not "you guys". What can I say - I can just repeat that it was foreign site which we have invited to our program about a year ago (15 jan 2004 if I remember all correct). Our fault was that we have not noticed these words, not adding them cause they already existed when site appeared in our program - and I have described all the reasons why we did not noticed them earlier. We've got the site with those words already and I think about the guy who has added them that he is an idiot. Only idiot would do such a thing.
Our fault is that we were not attentive enough - and I admit it in full. However, I barely can imagine what can we do now to undo all the time these words were on site.
So I can't understand what do you want from us now - can anyone say it exactly?

the point is that the site is in your program and it was/is doing complete bullshit which gives your whole program a BAD NAME... if you aren't responsible (and see my previous post for that excuse) then you need to police your program a bit more.... I don't care if you are in business for 3,5 years 3.5 years or 35 years.... it doesn't really matter if you stole 1 hit or 100,000 hits it is stil 100% wrong to do especially when you are a SPONSOR, and the "we didn't know but now it is fixed" excuse has been used too many times

RawAlex 2005-03-16 11:50 AM

Adultmastercash, TGPs and link sites CANNOT and DO NOT control the content of the sites they link to. They review them when the list them, and some dishonest fuckers actually go back and change the sites. It isn't the TGP owner or his "employees" doing it... it is a third party. THEY DON'T CONTROL IT. When they spot it, they pull it down.

Your site. Your program. Your responsiblity. Your thieving meta tags. Nobody else to blame (unless you want to use the standard "outside contractor" BS that often seems to be the case).

You tried, you got caught, be a man, live up to it, fix it, and try to move on before more people decide not to list your stuff.

Alex

I will not argue with this "you tried".
You want to believe it - it is your holy right.
I admitted all the faults we have done and we have fixed them once have been awared of this thread. I will never admit we could even think to put these words on our site - because we couldn't. It has a bad side - we could not think anyone will do it as well. We were wrong - it was the lesson we have learned well. But if you expect me to shot myself because of this - I won't do it, sorry. I have admitted all our own mistakes but I won't feel sorry for every single thing you could think about me personally or our team.

It is up to you to work with us or not. Want to think we're "fucking russian cheaters" - think it and be happy. People who work with us for some time and had an opportunity to ensure we're fair partners will not allow this stupid incident to confuse their oppinion about us.

Good luck.

WTF? who said ANYTHING ABOUT RUSSIA???? you admitted that it was a mistake that should not have happened, but people that have been in this business for a long time and have VERY VERY close relationships with some of the sites that were infringed upon will not take it lightly.... if you run a sponsor program KNOW WHAT YOUR PROGRAM IS DOING as you are liable for it

Okay. I have been awared about this issue - ETHICAL issue like SirMoby mentioned - and it was fixed immediately. I have admitted we're fucked up being not knowing what is placed to one of our site's metategs. I brought my apologies to every webmaster who have been offended with it. I am serious about financial compensation to any party involved.
However you guys continue to blame on us. Fine, seems the matter is not in the problem itself because problem itself is resolved already. It was a single and quite an unique case that will not happen in future in any way.
But it seems you are upset with so simple solution :) Ok, let's make 20 pages thread about fucking adultmastercash program which has absolutely no control on it's stuff. You know it is not true but for some reason you continue to repeat this complaint again and again.

So what else do you (personally you) want from us? If you can say exactly what is so wrong to you I will try to resolve this problem as well. I can't reverse time to the moment we have not noticed these metategs and make fix on them in time - it is the thing I really would love to do but I can't. So it has happened and was fixed later than it should. What now? You want me to promice "mom I will be good boy"? I supposed we are mature people here and saying I am sorry about this happening is enough to understand that I am sorry.
So either say exactly what do you want us to do now or visit my post above as well.

Oh, really? Duplicating the work of every single reviewer actually eliminates the need in reviewers themselve. Employees are needed to free your time for more important things. Of course we are responsible for them - but we have to trust them in reasonable tasks in exchange.

I think you do. You check every thing you are aware of. But you CAN'T check it before it happened first time (you can suppose things people can do but if you do not think anyone will do it - you won't check for it before it happens). That's all I tried to explain - we did not checked for this words in metategs just because we could not think anyone will use them this way. We look stupid here - and if you ask me I would prefer to look unfair than stupid (many programs feel great looking unfair because webmasters still make big money with them) - but it is the fact and I can't evade it now.

I can lie and tell we did it and get this thread down - but I do not want to. I do not want to tell we did it while we didn't.
You are free to make own conclusions but I know the truth. And the truth is we were stupid although fair :(

I've had this sucker blacklisted for some time now. Try using their FHG's after having signed up using CCBill as processor, and not the standard processor of AMC...
I remember some interesting correspondance I had amonth ago about this problem, as discussed with AMC and CCBill...

Look at my blacklist of who's NOT welcome at my TGP's. Just a suggestion... how to spend a lot of work, and then later, nothing but trouble and some very wrong answers.

How I just hate that feeling of beeing so deply fother mucked.

Ah, hi Pete. I thought I explained everything to you in my last email. Seems not... Ok, a little explanation about this misunderstanding. Possibly not only you get this issue.
We had an issue with our FHG for those who use CCBill affiliate program with our sites - traffic sent to FHG was not count in CCBill. All signups going from FHG were counted to CCBill affiliate account although. The issue was based on the problem we could not determine who uses our own stats and who uses CCBill directly at the moment of opening our FHG - but we were able to determine it when surfer reached join page and submit webmaster's affiliate code to CCBill. We have resolved this problem by adding one more option to FHG link codes and now all webmasters using CCBill affiliate program with our sites getting link codes which allow CCBill to count all traffic correctly.

Again: no signups were lost in any way - just traffic stats (FHG/FHS links for CCBill affiliates only) before we have added additional link code option. And traffic stats do not miss now as well.

It is up to you to decide what do you want to do. However, it was just a misunderstanding from your side, not an our mistake or malicious action.
