MOHAWK, NY. - March 29 2005 - Greenguy And Jim announce yet another Random Logged In Member Contest on their weekly Radio Show. Jim Barnett was heard to say "It's about time we have this contest at a decent hour. Hopefully someone with a few posts will win this time". Mark Jenkins (Greenguy) replied, "People with only a few posts is what makes this contest truly random".

Greenguy 2005-03-30 03:05 PM

I never said that & I love each & every poster (well, most of you anyway)

:D

grzepa 2005-03-30 04:34 PM

Great ! Maybe I'll have some luck this time... I'll be there !

Trax 2005-03-30 05:30 PM

Jim 2005-03-30 05:46 PM

BUFFALO, NY. - March 30 2005 - Mark Jenkins (Greenguy) has now claimed that he did not in fact say, "People with only a few posts is what makes this contest truly random". He has stressed that almost each and every poster. All except Skippy. :)

adamneve 2005-03-31 03:15 AM

50 posts are still considered a few so I hope you'll win and not someone with 3 posts who disappears. |thumb

Actually digifan brings up an interesting point...if there is a set minimum in place (just like the pools for football) there should be a minimum in place for the random log in draws as well.

Less people would show up if it was set at a certain post limit.

Lets say if minimum post was set at 500, why would someone with less than 500 posts log in for the contest?

Therefore the total amount of cash given out would be alot less. :(

Useless 2005-04-01 09:42 PM

I'll be here for part of the contest. I have to pick up my prodigies from school at 2:45, so I leave the house around 2:35. I haven't been feeling very random lately anyway. Gassy, but not random.

Ms Naughty 2005-04-05 03:47 AM

It will be 4am here. Looks like you won't have me there to bump up the $ amount

Head Boy 2005-04-05 04:21 AM

It'll be 7pm for me, which is a nice convenient time - thanks for that. :)

500 is a bit of a stretch...I just reached 500 not too long ago, it takes a while, unless your a post whore...I was thinking more like 50...besides, people need to get involved in threads more.
I have learned so much since I started here - as a matter of fact, this board is the first I check out - daily.
Most of the linklist operators and their reviewers are great people. Of course there are some real "assbags" but even they help out from time to time.
I realize the whole point of this contest is to measure capacity and get a feel for popularity - totally understandable. But, if my fellow newbies invest the proper amount of time PARTICIPATING in threads they would see dramatic improvements in their results. I know I did.

Skippy is not an assbag & I think they would be very offended by that remark!
