If you were starting from fresh and wanted to get to $6000 per month fast, what would you do?

I read somewhere that Tommy would only make AVS sites, but that was written a few years back.

I would get a gun. (I already have a ski mask) I would then do two small bank jobs a month. I'd probably hit them really early before they have completed their first cup of coffee and after I had dropped the kids off at school.

A time machine trip to 1995 might be useful. The days of making easy money on the Internet have long ago come and gone. You can still make $6000 a month in this business, but it will likely take you several years and alot of effort to build your business to that point.

$6k/month fast. Hmm... start with $12k?

Can't do anything with search engines -- time lag would be too slow there and you stated fast.
You could submit free sites, but, I think people have mentioned 4-6 months before making real cash there.
You could do TGP posting. That has rather instant gratification if you choose the right sponsors and have enough bandwidth.
Traffic trading. Hard to come on to the scene and be trusted by a lot of the bigger trading guys, but, you could always build trades if you had the time.
Linklist -- again, time required there.
TGP - again, time required to make it big.
You could shoot a bunch of exclusive content and sell it. That might do it.
Blogging -- but then again, that's a few month process to get big.
Spam -- You can make quick money there and join that other guy in the jail cell.
bet it all on black.... er red... black... red...

$6k a month is a bit outrageous - that's roughly $37.50 an hour in the real world & how many people do you know making that much money anyway?

And what's your start up money? The days of a computer & some spare time are long gone.

$6000 a month form scratch is a far stretch. If you have TGP gallery building skills along with free site skills you could make some decent money but not $6K within a few months unless you have lots of money to spend on accounts and traffic. Then will you be clearing $6K a month?

If you hav edesign skills that's a way to make some decent money.

If I had enough starting capital, I think I could probably get a 6k turn around pretty fast.

I think it'd be near impossible to make $6k/month just starting out with no experience or contacts. There are exceptions to every rule of course.

Just do a search on boards (like this one) for something like "my first sign-up" - that'll give you an idea how easy it is!

One way could be to spend lots of time looking for good one and two word domain names and try selling them - but that's as reliable as the jackpot at the casino...

I remember making 6k (and more) in 1999, but these days... It pays my CC every month and my basic living expenses = that's about it!
Other income is from investing my porn money back in 1999/2000.

I even remember a few single checks from just one sponsor with a figure around that... |cry|

I'm very happy with the progress of my link list and free sites, been in the adult biz about 9 months now, and I'm realistically hoping to hit 6k/month sometime in 2007

The only way to do it fast is by investing a lot of money in buying traffic. To take a slower route I'd find a niche you enjoy and work on building a quality site (whether it be a TGP, link list, blog, etc.) based on SE traffic and bookmarkers. You won't need much to get it started nor really need any contacts. 6K/month is still peanuts and relatively easy to accomplish within a few months but it does require more work than it used to.

Adwords etc and enough funds to get the volume high enough so that the profit per click = $6k / month.

My suspicion is that if $6k is needed "fast" then the funds to do it aren't aren't there.

you would have to partake in spam of one variety or another... but that still requires technical skill and hard work to pull off.

wow! 6k a month i think is a very good income but i don't think regular webmasters make that money nowadays unless you are a very established one.

6k a month "fast"? could probably build up paysite memberships to that much in 3-6 months.....but i'd have to kill you if i told you how. if by "fast" you mean 1-2 months, then you might be out of luck

without spending quite a bit more then the target of $6K I would say it is almost impossible. If your going to start with a LL or TGP then be prepared to be an extremely small fish in a rather large and stormy pond. If you gonna go at it from the paysite own side then.......well, you have lost your mind......but if ya really want to do it from that side then the start up cost nessesary to generate the kind of interest in your program to interest affiliates is going to be monumental, not to mention the amount of time, planning and effort nessesary. for our new re release we started working on it in earnest in Dec 04 and did our release in Apr 05 (and two week late I might add) and we are still refining (read spending money) to make it as attractive as possible.

What do you mean fast? 1 month, 6 months or a year? You can start now and make $6k a month but you did not mention an acutal time frame. I don't know what fast to you means.

You will need to purchase a good bit of content. You will beeds to work hard and you will need to refine your graphic skills.

Selling AVS memberships can still be very profitable but you can't depend on them for the traffic any more but generating your own traffic can be profitable when selling an AVS.

6000 $ is about 13 to 14 sales per day, if one sale is for 15 $. That doesn´t sound very much, but it is.

If your traffic converts 1 to 250 - and I´m afraid most of the traffic doesn´t - you´ll need 3500 visitors per day on your sponsor´s sites. Those visitors are not easy to get.

So the only way is to invest a lot of money. But where to invest it. If I would know where, I would do it, probably... |pimpin

If you want to make $6000/month easy... Start a paysite.

Only downside, a paysite requires previous comprehensive knowledge of the business and a good amount of startup funds.

How many paysites are making 6K/month after expenses? Not many.

I can't wait until I earn 6K a month. Some people said it's not that hard to do - really? For someone new coming in without any capital? I've been at this around 18 months now, no capital, started part time, the usual story, and I reckon (read 'hope' ) I'll hit that target in another 12 months time.

I wonder how much US$ 6000 will be worth in pounds sterling in 12 months time? Probably less than three grand I would bet :(

Like an idiot, I started my little pay site and 2 tgp's without knowing crap about this business. I'm really a photographer playing the role of webmaster as I do have some graphics/design skills. Since I know a bunch of models personally, I was able to get some content for free. So far I get about 2 or 3 sign ups per week - lol! So I guess this is just still an expensive hobby.

I am surprised you guys dont think that much could be made submitting gallerys

For a newbie, the only place left that can send good traffic and doesn't charge anything nor require a partner account is the Hun. I don't think it's possible for a newbie to get more than 50K hits daily to their galleries now without paying. So there's no way they can start off making 6K/month submitting galleries.

Convince me that it can be made.

I won´t say it can´t, but it´s a matter of the tgp that you submit to. There are not many of them where a newbie can submit to and gets quality traffic in exchange.

Build and submit 5 tgp galleries a day (ie:richards takes 5 doesnt he still?) build at least 1 free site a day and submit. If LL will take more, do the maximum. Have tgp and link list sites of your own to link back to, where you also list the submitted ones for a fair trade.

Use custom banners and tours as much as possible. Have paysite reviews on your link pages, tons of text and personal recommendations etc.

Just get busy building like crazy and dont slack off and you can do well off the bat if your marketing is good.

I'm sure one could make quite a decent amount submitting and getting their gallery accepted everyday at Tommy's.

I think partner accounts are great for the submitters,
it gives you a real chance of getting listed

frankthetank, I have a friend that does a lot of tgp submiting and 2 months ago he told me that he made 100k that month
