What is the worst thing that can happen to any webmaster
I tried to make a jump with my bike, but I felt badly and broke my arm... I just got back from the ER and since the only thing tha occupies my mind is "how am I going to work now?", the first thing I'm doing is to post here :)
I think I'm going to get me helpclickbuster.com :) -- Andrew |
Damn dude, that sucks. Just don't do any crazy stuff until it has healed properly.
The solution to your problems is: Make your gf do all the work ;) |
that's gotta hurt.... but that 6 to 8 weeks that the doctor tells you is bullshit... I took my cast of so I could go party in Mexico after 3 weeks and besides the huge lump on my hand I am fine :D
|
Wow that sucks. :(
|
Shit, that really sucks man. :(
I hope the wipeout looked good at least :D |
That does suck!!
At least you didn't have a harddrive crash at your host and lose everything. That would be worse :D |
Hope you recover soon... In the meantime, use your other hand. :D
Seriously though, it's probably going to be a bitch using your weaker arm to use both the keyboard and mouse. So you'll probably end up being ambidextrous when you're fully healed. |

Here's the video of ClickBuster's accident. Get well soon ClickBuster. |
Sorry to hear that dude.
I had my left arm in a full cast once and couldn't bend my elbow. I thought that was bad until I broke my right hand and had to wipe my ass with my left. Even after 6 weeks I never got used to it. Think it's easy? Try wiping your ass with your other hand. Then go eat some BBQ and Chili and try it again tomorrow. |

I doubt he will ever have any kids. |
Sorry to hear that. You'd be surprised how fast you can type with one finder. I use to work with this two finger typer and he was fast as hell. Hope you recover quickly. If you want to recover fast you need to get blood flow to that area. You can do this by doing a little bit of cardio everyday...speed walking is probably best in the beginning. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to just rest/sit on you ass; this does little for the recovery process. Why do you think hockey players, or athletes in general, heal so fast....they have amazing circulation. Good luck ClickBuster.

Ouch! That sucks Clickbuster...sorry to hear it :(
Many years ago, I crushed my right hand in a freight elevator...long story...lol. But, I ended up having to take college finals left handed. Smoked em! Guess since I had to slow down to freakin write...I also slowed down in thinking...lol. Moral of the story...you'll find that you can make do with one hand...quite handily :) I know...cheap joke...but I had to do it! |
Ouch!!
That's too bad!! Hope you feel better soon!! |mml| |
Damn that sucks!
For the next few weeks maybe we should get you Internet Handicapped plates. Let you log in on dial up. (you'll just think you're going fast) You can park right next to all your favorite bookmarks. And if you get pulled over by the Internet Police for going to slow on the highway, just show them your cast. :) seriously - Get Well Soon! |
ohh man, I'm sorry about what happend to you - hope it will get better very soon
|
Thanks to all of you. After the first day it's not so damn terrible :) I'll try to do some photoshopping later today, I can still work with the mouse :)

That sucks, but I think I'd rather have a broken arm as opposed to loosing my HD's & backups or having a server crash in a really bad way.

|
Erf... that really sucks.. I don't know what I'd do. Hope you get well quickly.
|
That's bad news. You could try voice input, and I used to sell a foot mouse when I had a computer shop. :)
|
Hope you heal fast! I never ever broke a bone so I don't know what it feels like.
