Happy News Monday

Up again at an insane hour. |shocking|
Maybe I should get a job in a factory since I seem to be keeping factory worker hours for some odd reason.

I see blue sky but I don't think it will last throughout the day but if it does I'm going to the beach.
|sun

Today is a news day. We might learn the fate of a poor black boy who became a rich beige… something. Also today is Apple's Worldwide Developer’s Conference where rumors are flying that Apple will announce that Macs will start using a chip from Intel.

Espresso and oatmeal with dried fruit is now being served.

Simon 2005-06-06 07:20 AM

Looks like the Intel news is real, even if Jackson's nose (and defense) isn't.

Sky looks the same down here, except I'm not going to the beach.

Kona coffee, pastries and multi-vitamins for those who want them.

:)

I do believe that Kat's tits deflected the crap weather from Florida up to NY - 85° & thunderstorms all day today :(

I'll be outta here very shortly to help my grandmother move into her new apartment, so I'll be back on later & probably very sore.

swedguy 2005-06-06 07:42 AM

Went out with some guys yesterday to have some beer. First beers in over half a year... wasn't too bad.
What was awsome was that my clothes didn't smell like a friggin cigarette when I got home. I love the new no smoking law :D

And today is out national day, and the first one since they made it a holiday, so everyone is off today. I figured I would do the same. Over and out!

Rocco 2005-06-06 07:45 AM

good morning all - getting pretty cloudy here: don't care that much as I have a huuuuge "todo" list :)

Smoking is still allowed in bars where I live, banned everywhere else. Hopefully that will change so that if I want to meet friends out at a club I can do it without returning home smelling like an ashtray and getting a killer headache.

Looking at portable Air Conditioner this week so that if I have to go on generator power I can still cool one room of my house. I remember a time in my life when shopping meant fun things like new clothes, shoes, or home decorating, not hurricane equipment. I almost hope for a storm just so I can see my neighbor's faces when my house has lights and A/C while they are all sitting in the dark sweating. Actually I really hope that all of this year's storms misses us and all this stuff that I've bought just gets a layer of dust on it from non use.

Jim 2005-06-06 08:12 AM

And, I am here... :)
A fine sunny morning to everyone. I have been up since 5:00 painting "The Javes House". Today is the day the floor comes in and everything has to be done. And you know the list of the rest of the stuff I have to do. Pictures may be coming tomorrow :) Today is the last day my step daughter and grand daughter will be here... And tonight is my daughter's birthday dinner. And, oh yeah, I have to go to court today...cocksuckers.

Have a good day.

docholly 2005-06-06 08:35 AM

morning.. *sipping my home brewed cuppa dunkin'*

today is humpday for my 'no breathe zone' which is hollyspeak for too much to do, too little time.

finished our photoshoot yesterday in the dry lakes area about 50 miles west of lv. was really kewl until some people showed up with guns and started having target practice within earshot. 8 miles of dry lake bed and they have to pick a spot near the naked photoshoot. |angry|

i did start to roll over and ask them to loan me their ak47 for a prop but when i saw the 'militia now militia forever' bumper sticker, i thought better of it. |cool|

been up since 230am.. but off and running now.. have a good one.. |waves|

I also heard that rumor Cleo. And a rumor that Macs may give up to the power and start using Windows. :)

terry 2005-06-06 08:43 AM

Good Morning... can't wait to see what this day has in store for us... hot and raining here today!!

Cleo 2005-06-06 08:44 AM

I'm guessing that Intel is going to start making a PowerPC chip for Apple or that Intel is going to be making a chip for some new Apple device.

I don't see Apple switching to the chip that Windows uses since it would break all the Mac apps that were just ported over the last few years to run under Mac OS X. Not to mention that the G5 chip is 64 bit so I don't see Apple going backwards to a 32 bit chip.

Personally I could care less who makes the cpu inside. The reason I use a Mac is because of its OS not the chip it uses.

We should know later today what Apple is doing after the conference that is being broadcast live. :)

MrMaryLou 2005-06-06 09:01 AM

Good morning all :) Yes it's Monday and I still dont have a damn thing :)

RawAlex 2005-06-06 09:22 AM

Is it Monday already?

Can't smoke in bars in New York either, unless they have an enclosed "smoking lounge" which is like stuffing 30 smokers in a small aquarium. I love not having my eyes water when I'm out. The strange thing is, as much as anti-smoking as I have always been, my closest friends are all smokers. They seem to worry about getting smoke in my face more than I do. (Secret: I like the occasional cigar while staring at the night sky. Don't tell my parents.) ;)

Anywho - busy, busy, busy. Got some stuff to do and some other stuff too.

ArtWilliams 2005-06-06 09:28 AM

:( Yawn! Good morning everyone. That's the best I can do.

So it is just like the Vegas convention. Did I mention that I ended up sick puking with my head pounding and I didn't drink at all, must have been something in the air.

I think people should be able to do anything they like. If they want to smoke crack while covered in Vaseline they should be allowed to just as long as it isn't in a public enclosed room where others have to breath it all in.

Happy Monday all! Another cloudy day so far but the sun looks like it wants to come out. I hate Mondays I always have a hard time to get started on anything. Off for another cup of hot tea then maybe I'll be ready.

Maybe the sun just wants my tits out. |mml|

As if Monday morning means anything to you and your 3.5 hours of slumber. Just another loop in your recursive cylce. Would that be redundant?

cd34 2005-06-06 12:49 PM

I can tell Mondays from Tuesday-Thursday pretty well. Its the day when everyone that called on Friday at 4pm to hand me a list of new projects calls to see if their stuff is done -- and to give more projects that need to be done by Friday.

Boomtown Rats said it best.

Then on Friday, Wet Willie says it best.... well, if I led a normal life.

pornrex 2005-06-06 01:34 PM

Yup, its moanday.

Speaking of anti-smoking laws, you can pretty much only smoke in your car, your home and outside if you've been to Toronto. Not many places can afford to include an enclosed area in their businesses to accomodate smokers. Whaddaya gonna do? :( Fuck smoking anyway. |potleaf| is better for you and does offer a nicer kick. |shocking|

As far as heat is concerned, I for one am not complaining. We are gonna to be having our first 'heatwave' up here in the big smoke. Average temperatures this week (if the weather people are indeed right) should be around 86-88F but who knows?

Watched some golf and my boy Greg Biffle pull off his 4th victory yesterday which was pretty cool. Tonight is game 7 in the Eastern Conference Final. I love game 7's. This is why those guys get paid the big bucks. Go Pistons. Any MLB followers out there? Check out the National League East Standings. Tightest division in Pro Sports. Should be interesting now that inter-league play begins.

Anyhow, I talk too much. |dizzy| Smell ya later.

Useless 2005-06-06 01:45 PM

Speaking of smoking outdoors, I was with the fam the other day at a state park. There were a few people smoking as I was walking down the trail and it seemed strange to me to see them. I thought to myself, 'they all smoking here?'

Rumors are true. Apple is going to start using Intel chips, but it will still be Mac hardware.
Quote:

The rumors are true: Intel will be inside

Jobs talked about the major transitions in the Mac's life -- starting from the Mac's Motorola 68000-series processor to PowerPC. "The PowerPC set Apple up fro the next decade. It was a good move," he said.

"The second transition was even better -- the transition from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X that we just did," he continued. "This was a brain transplant. And even though these operating systems (9 and x) vary only by one in name, they are very different, and this has set Apple up for the next 20 years."

As the Intel logo lowered on the stage screen, Jobs said, "We are going to make the transition from PowerPC to Intel processors, and we are going to do it for you now, and for our customers next year. Why? Because we want to be making the best computer for our customers looking forward."

"I stood up here two years ago and promised you 3.0 GHz. I think a lot of you would like a G5 in your PowerBook, and we haven't been able to deliver that to you," said Jobs. "But as we look ahead, and though we've got great products now, and great PowerPC products still to come, we can envision great products we want to build, and we can't envision how to build them with the current PowerPC roadmap," said Jobs.

Intel processors provide more performance per watt than PowerPC processors do, said Jobs. "When we look at future roadmaps, mid-2006 and beyond, we see PoweRPC gives us 15 units of perfomance per watt, but Intel's roadmap gives us 70. And so this tells us what we have to do," he explained.

Transition to Intel by 2007, and yes, Marklar exists

"Starting next year, we will introduce Macs with Intel processors," said Jobs. "This time next year, we plan to ship Macs with Intel processors. In two years, our plan is that the transition will be mostly complete, and will be complete by end of 2007."

Jobs then confirmed a long-held belief that Apple was working on an Intel-compatible version of Mac OS X that some have termed "Marklar."

Mac OS X has been "leading a secret double life" for the past five years, said Jobs. "So today for the first time, I can confirm the rumors that every release of Mac OS X has been compiled for PowerPC and Intel. This has been going on for the last five years."

Jobs demonstrated a version of Mac OS X running on a 3.6GHz Pentium 4-processor equipped system, running a build of Mac OS X v10.4.1. He showed Dashboard widgets, Spotlight, iCal, Apple's Mail, Safari and iPhoto all working on the Intel-based system.

Apple needs developers' help to complete the transition

"We are very far along on this, but we're not done," said Jobs. "Which is why we're going to put it in your hands very soon, so you can help us finish it."

The future of Mac OS X development is moving to Xcode, said Jobs. Of Apple's top 100 developers, more than half -- 56 percent -- are already using Xcode, and 25 percent are in the process of switching to Xcode. "Less than 20 percent are not on board yet. Now is a good time to get on board," said Jobs.

Happy Monday my northern friends. Another day of cleaning for me.. I wish I made enough to hire a maid, one with a french maid outfit and nice big tits hanging out the top. Then I could sit here and work and watch and work and watch and watch. :D Or I could hire pornrex to come and do it in a gstring and bow tie, hmm maybe one of each :P

Cleo 2005-06-06 06:14 PM

I would let Useless Warrior clean my place if he wore a gstring and bow tie.

cd34 2005-06-06 07:41 PM

ok, with that said, I respectfully ask Useless Warrior to NOT post pics.

And by the way Useless Warrior, your new Recip Tool, absolutely awesome!! I can see that won't be a Useless Tool

If you haven't seen his recip:

But then you'd have to charge me for the time you saved me by fixing my server. :D If it wasn't for you, I'd still be uploading all of the recip codes via phpmyadmin. And that's one ugly, slow process.

I only returned to this thread to watch natalie's avatar. Gives me goose bumps. |love|
