How long does it take Google to react to a spam report?

Well, anyone?

On a similar note, does anyone know the folks from Emma's Reviews http://www.emmasreviews.com/ , or as I call them - Cocksucker's Reviews?

Useless 2005-07-20 11:00 AM

Before, I was irritated. Now, I'm pissed.

Everyone welcome GG&Jims newest member CyberMax, who works for Emma's Reviews. He's a fucktard.

This morning, this was revealed to me:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search
The resulting link WAS redirecting to http://www.emmasreviews.com
For those of you who don't know, I own whoringwives.com CyberMax just hit me up on ICQ: take a look

30 seconds after that brief that, CyberMax hit me up again to let me know that "i have fixed our shit.. try whoring-wives.adultactioncam.biz now.."

So now it redirects to my root.

swedguy 2005-07-20 11:13 AM

Take it up with their host. 75% of the times they close their account within a day, at least that's my experience.

http://www.google.com/search?num=30&...iz&btnG=Search

Make him look like Goatse!

Greenguy 2005-07-20 12:02 PM

MML - do some blacklisting when you get a chance!

Erick G 2005-07-20 12:44 PM

UW Im glad you caught him!

Surfn 2005-07-20 12:58 PM

That really suks UW...nuke their ass!!!

MrYum 2005-07-20 01:01 PM

Unfuckingbelievable |angry|

Give em hell UW!

Useless 2005-07-20 02:08 PM

It would appear that they have intentionally targetted smaller traffic sites like my own, knowing that using high traffic domains would get them caught and punished instantly. I'm hoping that Google will nuke emmasreviews.com as well as the offending domain, but I don't know how they'll react.

Oh, looky here:
This post lists their 'host' OMGHosting.biz http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...0&postcount=16
and that post is from this thread http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...threadid=18577 in the CHEATERS FORUM.

Same friggin' cheating cocksuckers.

Any of you SE gurus have any advice on how to proceed?

Bill 2005-07-20 05:11 PM

Did you already file a spamreport UW?

What information did you put in the report?

It kinda makes for an interesting test case - how does google react when a smaller, newer site gets copied for spam?

DangerDave 2005-07-20 05:53 PM

As usual these dumb fucks have no idea.. and I can hear the BS excuses coming now..

we were just testing a script
it was an employe working off his own machine
we hired a SEO compnay

BULLSHIT!!

Again as usual they dont know who they are playing with..:(

cleo's-links.adultactioncam.biz/
tommy's-bookmarks.adultactioncam.biz/
al-4a.adultactioncam.biz/

Start firing those DMCA's and these fuks will be gone in a day..

I've seen various complains about them on other boards already.
From my experience google will do nothing about it. I have reported several spammers in the past and nothing happened. Maybe if they get emails from many webmasters they will react.

Unfortunately I deleted him right after the conversation. I did an ICQ search for CyberMax, but all I get is some Russian dude that doesn't appear to be him at all.

Actually - if you look they have 98 pages using Tommys Bookmarks as the keyword, Mobys Free Porn is on 92 pages, Richards Realm is used on 177 pages, World sex is in 4000 pages, and so on - looks like a typical SE scanner, doorway page generator - and of course they are cloaking it and redirecting everything to emmasreviews

Yeah, DD pointed that out to me. At least I'm in good company.

I just informed Adult Action Cash (they own adultactioncam.com) about this, since confusion may arise due to the intentional domain name similarity.

Yes, twice. The first time was when I was only aware of my own domain being affected. I jumped the gun on that due to my now legendary over-reaction and demand for immediate response. I submitted a second report when Swedguy made we aware of the bigger picture. I gave them the little information that I had about all the keyword spamming of others' domain names and redirecting to emmasreviews.com and that the whois for adultactioncam.biz matches that of emmasreviews.com

Well, the fastest and most powerful tool to use in this case is definitely a DMCA complaint against his host.

Dave, Linkster, what is the best way to do a DMCA counterattack on this guys host? Is there a place that has a form letter that can be copied, modified, and used?

I'm sure that would be a more effective strategy than the google spamreport.

But, even if the host is taken down, they could move the pages to another host, and their listings in google won't magically dissappear on their own.

It will be interesting to see wether google will react to the spamreport.

I feel your wrath Useless, I've got a Cock Sucker that took some of my positions away becouse he has four of my sites on his autogenerated crap. I traced him down and found out he's only an hour away and one of these self proclaimed Gurus thats teaching people how to doit.
My first instinct was to visit him with a baseball bat, revenge is best served cold, from a internet cafe in another country with free hosting.
I got this a couple days ago in a mainstream newsletter

Occasionally I put my name in a search with quotes around it to see what pops up i.e.
programs I am working. Recently, two p^or^n sites showed up in one of these
searches. I notified Google who asked for a screen shot of the page. I sent it and they
were very nice about it and took the two sites off the search. They also told me to let
them know if I was ever dissatisfied with a search result in the future. Now, that is
getting it done.
Note: to do a screen shot
1) go to the page, not the p^or^n site but the search result page
2) hit the Print Screen button top right on keyboard (nothing will show on your
screen)
3) go to your word processor and open a blank document (new)
4) right click on your mouse and paste
You now have a screen shot of the problem which you can forward to the search
engine folks.
Hope that helps a little for someone.

I had never thought to look up, what a shocker and I realy hope my wife never thinks to do it :(

This isnt necessarily true - it usually is best to send the DMCA to his host, Google and his domain registrar (I believe its Directnic in this case - however the one to Google will normally take about a month to kick in if they accept it - remember that these people will only act on a DMCA if you can show copied material from your web pages

You are welcome to use this format:
http://www.chillingeffects.org/dmca5...?NoticeID=1501 - the Google page that tells what must be in the report is here: http://www.google.com/dmca.html

I dont agree in this case - I think a spamreport with lots of info would be the best

I believe they would if you show Google the number of doorway pages they have genereated, the use of the cloaked pages for Googles bot, and the misdirection of the surfers to a different page based on the keywords

Cibi - you piece of shit, why are you searching my posts? Hoping to find away to fuck me? Any dirt you dig up, I'll bury you with. Cocksucker. Bring it on.

Greenguy 2005-07-21 10:00 AM

Odd...both Cybermax & Cibi have account on the board, both of the email addy's that they used to register look like greenguysboard.com@domain.com.

Oh - they are also both on the same IP :D

Useless 2005-07-21 10:06 AM

I think we may have to go Emma's Reviews and contact those sponsors. Wonder if they know they are being promoted in a manner that fucks their honest affiliates?

C'mon, Linkster, aren't you splitting hairs here? Even you acknowledge that it would probably take google a month to respond to a DMCA complaint.

I didn't mention that caveat that some hosting is "bullet proof" - perhaps I should have, but I pretty much take it as a given that everyone knows some hosts outside the US, that welcome bulkers and spammers, laugh at the DMCA.

I've not heard of a case where the registrar actually killed a domain based on a single DMCA complaint from an ordinary webmaster. Have you?

As far as the spamreport getting google to quickly act to remove the pages from the database - maybe so - but I haven't seen it, and I have no basis to believe that it would happen quickly. I would expect it to take weeks if it did work.

UW, when did you first report these asswipes? We can start the clock and see how long it takes for google to remove the pages.

BTW, UW, can you tell us where these pages are, so we can watch them?

I still think a DMCA against the host is the fastest way to take pages like these down. (It won't remove them from google, but at least the shitstains don't get to profit from the stolen copy.)

Linkster, would you use this as a sample case to explain how a good, effective spamreport should be filed?

Exactly what should be entered, in which parts of the spamreport form?

FYI: pages were deleted

Bill 2005-07-21 06:58 PM

I know they were deleted Cibi. I'm actually more interested in this as a test case, a classic example, than as your specific copy theft.

Altho I'd like to hear about your reasoning on this whole thing? Why did you take the pages down, for instance?

Why did you put the pages up? And how did you do it? Who showed you how to do it?
