Link list owner/submitter an idea?
 

Ok so I have an idea. There seems to be alot of new linklists being started mine included. And they are being started by people that have been and still submit freesites. Again myself included.

For my linklist I really need to get some decent submitters.

So I was thinking of a sort of an exchange of Ill submit my freesites to your linklist if you would add me to your submit list.

Think it would be a neat way to help each other all out.

its just a thought and Im throwing it out there to see what everyone thinks

now what i wanna know why you all wanna start an linksite while you still make free sites yourself, no critic i am just curiouse(did i say that right), what you all expect from that linksite you made?

Because, as I'm learning building a popular link list takes time. So I can see how these guys would supplement their income by the old stand by of building free sites.

Besides building their own free sites they can advertise for their linklist and include their recips along with some of the big named link lists.

What might also be beneficial, is if all of us new linklist do some category trades including submit trades to each other to get the ball rolling.

and you only use free sites to promoot your linksite?

i have the feeling alot of people start to fast an linksite, they make what 50 or 100 free sites and then start an linksite, so you think some linkstrades and put your linkback on your own free sites will do it?, just curiouse how you all think

Dunno, but you could. Depends on whether you thought it more important then shooting for a quick buck from a sponser. It's no different then putting a link to a fake TGP hub at your root, right?

I guess the point is, we don't know exactly what will do it. We are new to it. You are never going to know exactly what will work and what won't until you have tried eveything. I'd be more then welcome to any advice the big guys have to offer, but my guess is perseverance more then anything determines the success of any site over time, but who knows. :)

I have been doing freesites for a year now and it part of my routine, so I keep doing them.

For me it seems like if you are doing freesites for the long run to put all those freesites on a hub is one step and eventually that hub eventually starts to grow into a proper linklist.

I think a recip on a freesite and some linktrades is a piece of the puzzle, but Im new at running a linklist and learning and growing everyday.

So for me right now the goal is to get some quality submissions and in the longer term maybe make a sale or two from my list.

Im guessing by the responses in this thread though all the other new lists are getting plenty of quality submission as not many seem to be down for this idea.

:D you are getting in the right direction, very nice answer, the reson why i asked (i have myself several linksites and have sold some of my other linksites some time ago) i just see suddenly all those new linksites popping up, we all know some will not manage it and the others will, it all depends on how hard you work to make that linksite running and succesfull:) Good Luck ;)

I agree with msanchez & Preacher - everything they have said is exactly what I think too. I've also been doing freesites for a year, more full time in the past 6 months or so. I started a LL way too soon when I first started, and didn't know close to enough to keep it going, so had to keep it on the back burner for a while. Once I really started learning more (mostly from here :)) it only made sense to open it up again. You start to know who's who around here, who the good submitters are and other LL owners just starting out & become part of things. That's when you start to grow, get your LL started, trades etc. - once people know who you are & you can all grow together |thumb

I certainly don't know where I'm headed with this, I seem to learn some new way of doing things every day!
I can't remember where I heard this, but I've adopted it as a personal mantra - "persistence & determination are omnipotent". This has got me through a few $0 weeks lol

-oh ya and of course "build, submit, forget" :D

msanchez - I think it's a great idea, I've got a handful of good submitters & think we should encourage more to submit to us "starting out" guys :)

Great post msanchez! I build freesites tons of them!! After I had over 100 sites of my own, turned my hub into a link list also. Not sure if it will ever be a sucess or not, but it's a great way to get sales from your own sites.

Great Idea, "Newbie Networking".

I started it backwards to I think, LL first now trying to catch up with FS's. I've started a new block on my index page just for "New LL's" as well. If you want a listing drop me a PM, most of the ones from this thread are all ready there. I'll be around with my FS's later today.

This is a good idea msanchez, hopefully we can help each other out utilize the advice of the "LL Masters" as well.

Im hesitant to start categories i dont work in. So I have decided to just go with categories I have some traffic in.

Im working on some new niches but for now I would hate to not have any traffic to send you.

Im open to new categories just not quiet ready yet.

Small/new link list owners who are looking for more submissions: PM me. If your lists don't suck, I'll coordinate a way for you to get more/better submissions fairly quickly. I'm a man of ideas. I'm lazy as all hell, but I have ideas.

Make sure you include the url to your site.

Have any of you considered buying traffic ? I have been buying for a month now and its going pretty good, I am of course hoping to make a ton of people bookmark my link list :)
