Happy Finally Friday (Happy Veteran's Day)

Friday and I let my boys out of the Christmas Light hanging job until tomorrow because of snow. We don't have any yet but it is as cold as a bitch and it will be on it's way.

Again, i will be here all day.

terry 2005-11-11 08:20 AM

Yes finally Friday! But still very cold for my licking and I wanted to put up my Christmas lights today.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning sickos, eranged, psychotic, or morbidly obsessed people.:)

I still have power but still no cable modem that stays on but I guess I'm lucky as I see there are still people without power still like my dentist, hmmm karma maybe. :D

Never made to the gym yesterday so today is a sweat like a pig at the gym type of morning day.

Other then that I just be around my storm beaten home making the porn to pay for it all.

Yesterday they added a night guard to my splint just to torture me more and cause me to get even less sleep. At least they didn't sew my hand to my belly like they did the cop who got shot in the hand that I met at physical therapy yesterday. It's the little things in life that makes each day so fucking special.

Despite being awake way too early I was up late tweaking my pages at Cleo's Links. Once I start messing with stuff like that I just can't seem to stop. Next on my list is to figure out how to add RSS feeds to Cleo's.

Espresso and discomfort is now being served.

Good Morning.

Friday's are great. I'm always tired after playing basketball Wed and Thurs night, back to back. Usual work load today.

Enjoy :)

Happy Veteran's Day or Armistice Day, depending on your mood and locale. As the grand veteran that I am, I'll be working today.

Ahhhh...I just noticed that it was today. No mail, no banking and I have never worked on Veteran's Day.

selena 2005-11-11 09:00 AM

Happy Friday :)

To any of you that are Veterans...thank you.

I'll be messing around trying to earn a living today. The munchkin has a friend coming over after school, so I should be able to get some uninterrupted time for extra work. Yay!

spookyx 2005-11-11 09:08 AM

Happy Vet Day!! Since I am a vet I will be taking off most of today :)

I would have forgotten, but I have school-aged kids who are coming to work with me today. Oh joy. I think I have worked almost every Vet's day since I've been one. Doesn't seem fair.

MrMaryLou 2005-11-11 09:27 AM

Good Morning All :) Hat's off to all our Veterans today :)

MindyBlingBucks 2005-11-11 09:31 AM

I used to argue with some bosses but then i would use the "Disabled Veteran" card and it always worked :)

Well then, besides attempting to get out and about today, I am done.

Nah...I will be around. Not only am I awaiting a new prescription since the Percocet isn't working anymore, but I am supposed to cook for my Daughter for when she comes back to her home from the hospital next week after having my new Grandson :) Nothing like cooking Chili, Spaghetti and Chicken Franchase all in one day.

Good Veteran's Day Friday From The Land Of Humble Pie |buddy|

I have a shitload of bullshit work to do today that piled up yesterday while I was at my step-daughter's surgery. It was scheduled for 1:00 & was a 2 hours surgery, so I was thinking she'd be awake by 4 & we'd be driving home by 5. I was only 3 hours off :D

Big Sabres game tonight |thumb

Happy Veterans/Armistice/Remembrance Day. To ALL that have served and have sacrificed, I for one salute you. |bow|

Gonna try to get some more household chores completed today, as well as clean out that fricken backyard again before I submit and then later, its off to see the Laffs-Sabres - maybe. |dizzy|

Good morning although Ive been up since 4 am - and to all of my comrades from the military - I salute you

small rant/ Happy is not an appropriate way to salute Veterans Day - its not really a "holiday" but more a remembrance and salute to those that have fallen in war - and it makes me cringe when I hear the news media say that as well - although theyve already been told off a few times this morning /rant off :)

Although to that end - I also respect your right to say anything you please and gave an oath a long time ago to defend your right to speak freely to my death as many of the people we salute today have done and died for

That's a very good point and I've honestly never paused to think about it. We've made everything a Hallmark moment. For me, it's a happy Veteran's Day because I'm happy to not be serving under this Bush (though I did during his father's term).

I'm told that I may get disabled vet status due to my "problem" since it seems to stem from that period of my life and it's something the Army evaluated (twice) while I was in and acknowledged, yet ignored. Still need to see the doctor though. |shocking|

Linkster 2005-11-11 04:34 PM

Speaking of "problems" - I noticed a new interest starting up again about ole Rush Limbaugh's draft dodging back during Viet Nam - seems that someone read the biography and where he said that he was examined by his doctor and given a draft waiver for an inoperable cyst and a knee injury (the knee part was later debunked as BS). Seems a group of proctologists that recognized the wording of the name of the cyst made it something very simple to operate on - he had just found the right doctor to pay off.

So he got to sit home with an anal cyst - seems its been growing over the years too :)
