Seeing as there's 4 or 5 threads about this floating around, let's try to use just this one so I can track everything :)

Just spoke to the tech guys & while they can't see the error in their logs nor reproduce the error, they did adjust a couple of things that might be causing the problem.

So submit away & let me know if it goes thru or not.

If it doesn't go thru, post the domain & email that you tried submitting (not the URL, just the whatever.com)

Still not working for me - ie 5.5, dsl dedicated ip, firewall on or off, submitting from west coast (california).

But it looks like it fixed for a few people - so you must be on the right track! :)

Ah well, I tried a submit at 3:31 pm and it did its usual "cannot find server" failure.

The domain was http://www.girl-peeing.net/ with my usual penn.com email.

I notice the timeout seems to happen faster than an ordinary timout, this is consistent, I've seen it a number of times now. And, since this started for me about a week ago, my guess is that this might be connected to whatever you did to stop the 500 errors.

You guys can stop posting the domaisn & email addys now (I thought it might be that it's hanging up on the blackslist, but that's not it)

Bill - when the 500 errors were happeneing, some peeople were getting the no dns as well, so me thinks there were 2 problems.

But at least I know I'm on the right track :)

would it be okay if say someone else that can submit does it for us ? I got a m8 that is able to post but he was worried if you would kick his arse for doing two submits in less than 24 hours :)

the board hangs for me as well but im not sure why its hanging anyother site doesnt wierd very wierd

I just tried to submit and get the same problem I've been getting. I never see the 500 error. I hit submit, the browser says it found the site and is waiting for reply and then after about 30 seconds or so it comes back with a " page cannot be displayed" error.

@kane I 've been experiencing the same thing, but I think its a matter of proxy you use, because when I changed the proxies I was recieving diffrent replys...

Ok - try it again boys - the one thing that never corssed our minds was the default settings as far as when the server times itself out after trying to access a file.

So it's been up'd form 30 to 90 seconds :)

If this works, you can all thank kane for bring it up (even though I think he did it without knowing - LOL)

I turned on a port sniffer and then did a test submit hoping that I would get an error, but it went through without a problem.

Didnt time it exactly, but it took well over a minute.

Well, I submitted and didn't get a server not found error - I was redirected to www.greenguysboard.com/board/

Haven't seen the email yet (the 'thanks for submitting') so can't be 100% sure... GG, if you see this url in your queue:

- then it's fixed for me! Of course, I'll have to do another test tomorrow... because before I submitted this time, I sacrificed a chicken... gotta make sure it's really fixed and it wasn't the chicken... otherwise I need to buy a bunch of those suckers. :)
