Happy Back To Work Monday

Ahhh...Monday Morning
And back to normal work for me. I know I am a part timer these days since I have been quitting at noon on weekends but, it is nice.

So, it looks like Spring is finally here. I just saw on the news that it might hit 70 by Friday. Only a high of 50 today but..I can wait. :)

Surfn 2006-03-27 06:26 AM

Good Morning Folks |waves|

This is the third morning in a row I hear birds chirping out my window. I guess the confused things think spring is here. When I go out I keep expecting to see these little ice sculptures that look like birds. lol

I hope you feel better today Jim |thumb

Have a nice day and tidal waves of conversion everyone |bananna|

Fonz 2006-03-27 06:27 AM

Morning all,

The first full week of work after my vacation has started. Got lots to do. Because I moved hosts there are some small things I got to tweak to get everything back up and running smooth again.

Have a good day all.

Simon 2006-03-27 06:42 AM

Good morning world |waves|

Another lovely 58 degree morning, on the way to mid-70s later today. Working on rebuilding lots of templates, and then time for blogging fun. Hopefully there will still be some sun left when I'm done.

Wishing everyone a great week.

Simon

happy monday :)

cd34 2006-03-27 09:27 AM

car is in the shop... again.... why is it that the expensive problems wait until the warranty has expired?

Cleo 2006-03-27 09:28 AM

Morning :)

Went out to the swing club Trapeze last night with my neighbor and another girl. Had a good time but I'm not sure that drinking was such a good since I'm still dealing with this cold. I'm a bit hung over this morning but my cold does seems to be a lot better so maybe it was a good idea.

It's a bit chilly here this morning but it should warm up into the seventies so maybe after getting some work done I'll go relax in the pool or something.

Espresso and cold meds are no being served.

Good Morning All :)

RawAlex 2006-03-27 09:53 AM

Cleo, I went to trapeze a few years back, not a bad place, the music was a little bit obnoxiously loud, but the people seemed reasonable etc. Not terrible... but what a crappy location! Anyway...

It's monday. Porn.

On a funnier note, my city Burrough is trying to save money on trash removal, so they are going to an automated system. Basically, the truck has a big hydraulic arm, and it picks up custom made garbage bins and dumps them. So the city has gone around and issues a new garbage bin to everyone. In theory, it will cut the budget by 50% - but the real reason it will drop by 50% is because they are only going to collect once a week instead of twice a week. So now we have these huge 360 litre bins that are going to be packed full of smelly leftovers for a week instead of three days. This is going to get, ummm, interesting.

Pretty soon they will cut us back to once a month.

Alex

Music is ok, not great, they seem to try to please everyone by playing a bunch of different genres and it is too loud but that is the case just about everywhere these days. Yeah the location is hideous. The people are all very nice and friendly which is what is most important.

Good Morning all I'm soo happy today, I can read my computer screen. |bananna| I woke up yesterday with my eyes almost swollen shut from allergies, we had bad wind on Sat, and my vision so bad, I had my reading glasses I use with my contacts over my glasses with reading glasses in them trying to see the screen and finally gave up. Hate when my Aides Pupil acts up and fucks my ability to read.

But today it looks like I can read the screen pretty good. I'm typing this from the living room, we have begun the moving my office stuff to repaint my office, then build in my custom desk. Can't wait. MadHatter has canablized all my shelves from my office, since I want a different look, and I've had most everything except my computer on the floor for 2 weeks, lol. So it is porn, moving, and painting today. Sounds like a niche to me!

RawAlex, we have those type of trucks here, and only pick up 1x a week. Not bad...except in the summer when it is 110 the garbage gets pretty ripe.

Many clicks and sales to all today. Virginia

Morning! I'm going to be pulling my hair out all day! I got three different website makers or what ever you call them. I'm a frontpage lover as it's so damn easy. Well I worked with them most of the night and got no where |angry| Here are the three I got: Namo 2006, Homesite 5+ and Dreamweaver 8. Any suggestions on what one would be easiest to figure out??? Damn I hate changes!!

Have a great Monday all!

Use FP to make your page then click the html tab at the bottom and go in and edit all the junk :D

That's what I did for a year or so. I never tired anything.

I'm an old hand coder, so use AceHTML, but MadHatter, who never touched a computer before he was 50, has used DreamWeaver in the past to design sites, and figured it out pretty easily. He said the nice thing is it is totally intergrated with flash and other macromedia things and is very easy.

I've used Homesite in the past, it is buggy and a memory hog. Used to crash me all the time, so unless you have a lot of ram, I'd suggest not using it, use AceHTML instead if you want to hand code. Just my 2cents.

dareutwo 2006-03-27 12:37 PM

Morning all -
Having a few probs with servers this morning, but all should be good by tomorrow.
I'm a hand coder with notepad or cute html. I hate frontpage. :)
Light rain today, so we're gonna be flooding the low areas soon as the ground is still frozen.

Good idea Surfn! I noticed that in FP it's adding shit in with my sponsor link that isn't supposed to be there. I wonder if that has anything to do with sales |loony|

Thanks for the tips RedCherry! I'll avoid Homesite for sure! Coding by hand huh?? I may be just to lazy to be in this business :D

It will substitute ";amp" to any link code that uses the "&" sign. You won't get credit for sales with the junk in there. :(

Well I started building websites in 1992 in notepad, so that is how I learned. I didn't even know WYSIWYG programs exsited for quite awhile, lol. If I'd of only gotten into Porn back then. *sigh*

dareutwo, I like AceHTML, great for hand coding, and has a built in "viewer" that I can swap between code view and preview of what it looks like live. It also has some great table builders that help, and CSS tools.

natalie 2006-03-27 05:42 PM

Morning all. Not much here... seem to be getting over my bad chest without a single bit of medication. :D I think I will jump on the treadmill or walk around the block today just to see if I am all good. Man watching the Biggest Loser makes you feel bad for even a wee bit of extra weight lol. I am going to a costume and cocktail party in 2 weeks and it has to be strippers costumes. I think I will try and tone up a bit real fast as most of the girls there are strippers lol and I wanna look good in my cop outfit :D

RawAlex 2006-03-27 05:46 PM

natalie, you could try the old cabbage soup diet... that one can peel the pounds off quickly (but rather temporarily)

Alex

Surfn 2006-03-27 05:58 PM

natalie

At your age one would think you would be over your "bad chest" |boobies| :D

MrYum 2006-03-27 05:59 PM

Hello all!

Started the day with no connectivity |angry|

So, I used the time to get the lawns mowed. Seems like my connection is stable again...so I'm back in the saddle |thumb

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Add me to the hand code list with notepad. I used homesite at work so i didn't care about the memory thing but refuse to use something here that i'm faster at by hand.. when i have a spare hand to do it.

Eww I like cabbage as part of a meal but yuck not as a soup. People actually eat that?
I don't need to diet thank goodness, I already eat pretty well, this is nothing a bit of much needed exercise can't help.

Oh and Surfn |boobies| to u too

RawAlex 2006-03-27 07:00 PM

Natalie, the cabbage diet is one of the ones used by some people in hollywood to "make the dress size" for awards shows and whatnot. These people will basically kill themselves for a couple of weeks to drop some pounds to look great on the red carpet. It is a little wierd.

The diet is here: http://www.cabbage-soup-diet.com/

Sadly, Hollywood is seemingly locked in another round of waif-thin girls, I think started this time by Paris Hilton (who is naturally tall and thin, plus what the doctors gave her, I guess)... you see girls like Lindsay Lohan or even Nicole Ritchie, they are borderline scary in how thin they have become. Hopefully the girls of the world are not taking this to heart, it is really sad.

Alex

natalie 2006-03-27 07:29 PM

Oh that isn't half as bad as I thought, you can eat other stuff and the soup isn't just cabbage.
I agree it is very sad the body image that Hollywood portrays of how women should be thin to be beautiful and popular. I am quite happy to be a bit bigger now because when I was younger I was always too thin, got called anorexic at school. I used to eat heaps and never got over 48kg and I am 5' 8" tall lol. It wasnt till my second child that I got to a nice size. It also wasnt till my first child that I got decent boobs too! And luckily didnt lose them again :P
Now I could do with losing maybe 10 kg max but it wouldnt be hard with a decent exercise plan. I am a firm believer in everything in moderation as far diet goes plus I have never seen the point of making yourself miserable just to fit a size 8 dress.
Another problem with diets is when you have a family you either would have to cook two meals or make them suffer through your food! Punaniman was quite fat a year or so ago and we did change our diet but it was still healthy for the kids (healthier). We just changed to more fresh food and less fatty. He also took/takes special foods for lunch because he does a lot of weights training. Tuna, tuna, tuna lol. He lost over 30kg but I worked out he does 13hours of exercise a week! So I reckon its more that than food thats done it.

I bought Namo (on GGs recommendation) and havent really started using it yet - although the graphics program that comes with it rocks - I still do everything in notepad - but then Ive never done anything fancy :)

Yup, nothing fancy here either...I've always subscriped to the KISS principle with my sites |thumb

I use NoteTab...kinda like Notepad on steroids, but still all hand coding :)
