Happy Very Warm Friday :)

Good Morning
It may actually hit 70 degrees today. Yesterday, we took our bikes out for a short ride and it was sweet. Nothing like the first ride of the season :)

digifan 2006-03-31 06:42 AM

Good for you Jim :)

T.G.I.F. I hate going to get my treatment for months every day...

terry 2006-03-31 06:57 AM

Good Morning Everyone!

Another nice warm day expected here today as well.

I think I'll get started on my yard early this year.

Have a great day!

Fonz 2006-03-31 07:01 AM

Morning all,

Damn this week went by fast.
The weather still sucks here so that's once again a good reason to stay inside and work some more.

Have a great weekend all!

Surfn 2006-03-31 07:21 AM

Good Morning Folks |waves|

It's a rainy 66°F with steadily dropping temp's to around 40°F this evening.

ND is dedicating their new wing on the Computers Sciences building to me this afternoon so I guess I need to make the obligatory appearance. Other than that I should be around most of the day.

Everyone enjoy their weekend |headbang|

Have a nice day with tidal waves of conversions for everyone |bananna|

Good morning world |waves|

It's probably going to be hot enough for a/c later today here. But right now it's still cool enough to have all the doors and windows open. Mostly work inside today, but I'm going to try to find a few errands to run so I can enjoy the sun and air a little before the heat takes over soon.

Surfn - I'm not even going to ask what that one cost ya. ;)

Good Friday Peoples |buddy|

Very nice weather here as well - already 60° with a high forcasted of 68°

I've got some banking to do & I think I can get my stats done & posted today so that I don't have to worry about them tomorrow :)

When SUNY named their Abnormal Psychology Research Center after me, I never even received an invitation.

Jim 2006-03-31 08:29 AM

I just watched the news and they said we could hit 76 today. My wife has already told me we were riding.

And, we have the floor guy here again. I always thought Lamanent flooring went down fast. But Damn, he only got one room done yesterday. Today the big room and tomorrow the smallest. That gives me tonight to move the cable and network.

MrMaryLou 2006-03-31 08:50 AM

Morning..

Not much happening today outside but Porning away on the inside. |thumb

Gawd even with my tree gone the birds are still loud. This is about the only time of year I actually like LV.. it's in the 70's and nice...but then i leave my yard and those people out there on the street are NUTS... Some crazy ass driver was mad cuz traffic was backed up so he drove up on the sidewalk to circumvent it and when he came off the curb.. broke his aixel .. :D

Word of the day: delusion: A false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence, especially as a symptom of mental illness

Anyway.. i don't plan on going anywhere in the next 2 days.. so it's THEIR problem not mine. :-)

|waves| have a good one.

ponygirl 2006-03-31 09:09 AM

good morning everyone |waves|

well, sounds like an exciting day for some :D
more of the same here today, then it's the weekend woo hoo|bananna|

have a great one!

Morning…
Still no cable modem, still not completely over this cold, other than that life is fucking great and it's another beautiful day here in the land of sunshine and flaming power lines.
|sun
Went with my neighbor to look at throw rugs yesterday and we ended up at a strip club. No throw rugs there but he did end up renting a stripper named Holly who was very friendly as long as he kept on feeding her money.

Just a day of work for me and a few errands. I need to go buy a new pair of shoe stretchers since mine seems to have disappeared. I'm sure that I'll find then as soon as I buy a new pair. I actually went to go buy them yesterday after my neighbor dropped me off but instead came home with a wine rack and another espresso maker.

Very good espresso out of a new maker is now being served.

RawAlex 2006-03-31 09:29 AM

Ahhh... .friday... the birds are chirping and the accountants are going wild :)

Cleo, being south florida I am sure there was a couple of cheap rugs in the room... at least, that is what those guys look like. Strippers tend to have a direct connection between their hand and their smile. More dollars in the hand, the larger the smile. Weird, isn't it?

Anyway, I will be running around like a mad man today trying to do three things in two things time. More news later :)

It was my evil twin moonlighting so she could earn enough money to have NYU dedicate their new school of journalism to me. |boobies|

Ramster 2006-03-31 09:35 AM

Good Morning.

I'm a little slow this morning after not getting home until 3am. We did win our baskbetall championship though so that is good and the reason we were all out late.

More coffee.....

dareutwo 2006-03-31 09:39 AM

Morning all -
Finally back online, but I'm not sure for how long. It's flooding all over the place around here. Phone lines working whenever the hell they want to.
We're supposed to be having high school baseball and softball games next week. Not sure it that's gonna happen as there are still some spots of snow and the field is under a foot of water. I don't care, I get paid for umping just them same :)

Torn Rose 2006-03-31 09:49 AM

Morning all

I just had to do some errands first thing this morning so I could spend all day of this beautiful morning inside staring at pixels. The wind has been coming from the east for the last 4 days so we have been covered by dust from a construction zone ½ block away so the A/C has been running not stop for 3 days and from the look of the floors and countertops and the white spots on my cats, I wish we had it on for 4 days, there is nothing like a nice layer of dirt/dust completely covering everything inside your home.

Indiana Pacers retired Reggie Millers #31 last night and TNT had it on live, very good ceremony until Gov Mitch Daniels (R) took the mic and got booed…twice… When he was suppose to be there praising Reggie he instead tried to turn it to his political gain and asked Reggie on behalf of Indiana jobs to wear a tie on TNT so more people will want to move their business to Indiana… fucking politicians… time and place people… Any way Reggie’s #31 is were it belongs hanging from the rafters.

Not much planed for this weekend, just a long list of things I need to do so I guess its time to start doing them….

Just saw Ramsters Post... CONGRATS!!!

Gooood mornin GG&J!

Yup, another warm day in paradise! Think I'm gonna fire up the carpet cleaner and try to make my white carpets white again :D

Better to do it now while the weather is cool enough to have the house open with air flowing through. Won't be long until it's a/c time 24/7 |sun

Have a great day everyone...and may the sales be yours! Oh, and mine too of course :D

Great Day All! Does anyone watch Tucker Carlson? Did you see they had this --->|bananna| dancing on the screen yesterday at the end of the show? lol.

Going to buy the wood to build my desk today. Finally feeling great after the migrane the other day, so want to get it built, and get back in my room. I'm tired of working in the living room and having my cat constantly wanting attention.

It is 53, calling for a high of 60 and overcast, so good day to stay inside and get my office built.

OMG everyone you had my laughing with your posts today. I needed that, thank you. Digifan, Cleo, and Preacher, hope you both feel better soon.

Take care all and may a lot of $$$ come your way today. |bananna|

Now if you were really butch you would use an axe and head out to a forest to chop down a tree. Personally I'm more of the go buy a ready made desk myself but to each their own I guess.

Mornin'. Wow it's warm here too.. 70's or so. My body is freaking out, I dont need socks today to keep my feet warm! |escape|

Toby 2006-03-31 12:02 PM

Mornin' y'all,

Got a bit of a late start today, but the caffeine is finally starting to kick in.

Today's project is hacking back the semi-jungle that's taken over most of the yard since last Fall. Damn does stuff grow fast here. Roomie is going to stop while out running errands and hire a two or three temp workers named Jose with the same SSN. ;)

Had discussions with three different sponsors yesterday about asshats using their content. Don't any of these theives have a clue about copyright? or maybe they just don't care.

|coffee is on, and hey... let's be careful out there! :D

lol. Can't chop down a tree, you have to wait too long for the wood to dry or you have green sappy wood.

I'm building a custom desk along 2 walls, and I have no idea where to buy an 8' x 2' desk, so we are building it. It will just be square on one wall, but the other it goes from 16" deep flares out to 22", then back to 16" and is about 10' long. I worked as a handy woman for years, did a lot of construction stuff, so I love to do things like this.

MadHatter actually used to build custom furniture out of slabs of burl wood, I'd love to do that again, that stuff is cool.

Cleo 2006-03-31 12:18 PM

Do you also make your own shoes?

RedCherry 2006-03-31 12:19 PM

Nope, never figured out how to push needles through leather, lol.

sue-fl 2006-03-31 12:31 PM

Fuck shopping at our local malls. :(

Tried to buy a pair of shoe stretches. Two malls later I finally ended up ordering online.

Then for almost a week I've been trying to buy a pair of Versace sunglasses from the local Sunglass Hut. They had them in ever color combo except the ones that I wanted so I also ordered them online for almost a hundred bucks less then what they are local.

It's to the point where doing things in the real world is just more trouble then what it's worth.

RawAlex 2006-03-31 02:15 PM

Cleo, the real world only works when you need to fix your car or burn down your fence. Otherwise do it online.

Alex

Agent 2006-03-31 02:39 PM

Good day everyone.

It's cold here. Yesterday was quite warm but today it feels a bit cooler. There's only a few patches of snow on the ground in the woods but other than that I'm waiting for the green to sprout.

Simon 2006-03-31 03:20 PM

Cleo / Alex - That's something I was forced to learn when we moved to Key West about 10 years ago. And back then you really had to search around to find what you wanted/needed. But we didn't have much choice. If you didn't want an expensive meal, an over-priced and watered-down drink, or a $100 t-shirt, there's not much you can get in KW.

Since then I've moved to two of the other Keys islands with even less that you can buy locally. Aside from the grocery store, the gas station, and the mechanic's shop, there's not much I don't get online now.

Except seafood. That's one thing I can and do get locally.
And it's definitely better than anything I can get online.
