Happy Wack a Mole Wednesday

Morning..up kind of early but my wife made me switch sides of the bed because we rotated the mattress and she wanted me to sleep in my own bed mites :) So, I didn't sleep very well for some reason.

Anyway, I need to harass a few people today so, I will be around most of the day. I wish I had to go to the bank but at least there is the post office :)

Just my normal day of paying to sweat at the gym and then home to slave at the computer to pay for my lifestyle.

Watched The L Word for like the fourth or fifth time yesterday. Having a Tivo and having friends that don't have a Tivo kind of gives you a ground hog experience, kind of gives you a ground hog experience.

Mornin' y'all,

Was up way too late and the sun is shining way too bright in my windows.

|coffee is on, help yourself...

emmanuelle 2007-02-07 10:13 AM

Home Sweet Home

After a 29 hour trip home from GG's, I am kissing the ground below me and not planning to leave again, not till next Feb maybe |jester|

My 650 km trip included white outs, closed highways, and big trucks that threatened to turn my little 80 lb car into a snowboard.

The weekend was indeed a blast, and I am honoured to have been included. I had the opportunity to meet some really cool people, get beaten by UW in scrabble, and try some really weird breakfast pizza along with even weirder ice cream :-) ...OH... I also took Dr B's money at the poker table |bananna| |bananna| |bananna|

Karen & GG, thank you for your hospitality, some serious thought went into the planning, and your efforts were a grand success|roses|

Silly Canadians (including Ramster & Emerald & Ponygirl) & their non-4-wheel drive vehicles |crazy| Emma forgot to mention that she also go stuck in my driveway a couple seconds after arriving...and I'm not even going to bring up what happened when she tried to leave :D

was it dirty word scrabble? if so, then I wouldn't feel too bad getting beat by UW :D

MrMaryLou 2007-02-07 10:21 AM

Good Morning All :)

bDok 2007-02-07 10:44 AM

top of the morning. happy hump day.

Cheers,
B

RedCherry 2007-02-07 11:20 AM

Morning all. That bug that you all got rid of, seem to be in Pahrump now. Woke up really dizzy with my ear plugged. Took some alka seltzer cold plus and now I'm upright and ready to work. :D

This morning they are coming to suck out our septic tank. I keep picturing Mike Rowe from dirty jobs vomiting over the smell when I saw him last week doing this, and I'm planning on staying out of the way and out of "smell zone". This house was occupied by a family with like 5 kids before we bought it, so God knows what they did to it, or flushed down there. |banghead|

And if it was a dirty word's scrabble, I think Useless could beat us all combined, lol.

Cleo 2007-02-07 11:29 AM

I get a call from my neighbor who is up in Oklahoma today asking me to go to the Walgreens by me to pickup his scripts and Fedx them overnight to him in Oklahoma. So I called the Walgreens in Oklahoma that is a few blocks from him and asked them to have his scripts ready at that store instead of the one by me. His scripts will be available in less then a hour at the Oklahoma store and I didn't even have to get off of my fat ass. Isn't technology wonderful…

MrYum 2007-02-07 11:31 AM

Goooood morning all!

Damn fine day...feeling almost human again |thumb

Sorry to hear the bug got you V :(

Lots of fluids and rest help a bunch. Spent most of the day yesterday bundled up in sweats...with a heavy robe on...under a blanket...with the thermostat set at 74, and still shivering. Finally sweated the fucker out.

On the septic issue...been there, done that...within a few months of buying this house. There is NO out of the smell zone...yuck!

Sounds like it was a helluva a party at Greenies. I WILL make it next year damnit!

sue-fl 2007-02-07 11:34 AM

Morning!

Sun and 70's today |bananna|

Off to walk the dog then get to work! Have a great day all|thumb

That's it, I'm staying indoors. Way my stomach is, it wouldn't be pretty, lol.

I guess everytime there was an O, he got the triple word score by pulling out the CCK tiles.

There is a local truck that says: Satisfaction Guaranteed, or double your load back.

Quite a bit on the agenda, seems that a security update pushed hard by one of the software writers changed a config setting to an inane default, which requires a change in all of the config files. Thank goodness for automation. :)

We're in McDonald's early-test area for the new trans-fatless fryer oil. The fries smell different, but, taste almost the same. As a McDonalds connoisseur, my expert skills have been honed to even telling what pollutants were in the dirt that the potatoes were grown in. I give them a thumbs up. Since they don't have trans-fats, now I can supersize again with glee.

No snow here but it is a beautiful winter day - 60°F, mostly cloudy.

My luggage arrived today so I am letting Stony wear my new hat.

Simon 2007-02-07 01:39 PM

Good whatever time it is where you are |waves|

I was wrong yesterday. This damn flu bug is harder to shake than I thought. Came back to the fight again yesterday and most of today, but feeling a little better again now. Not claiming anything yet though.

I remember having the septic tank dug up and pumped out after Wilma's storm surge flooded everything. And no, there is no such thing as an 'out of the smell' zone.

This reminded me of a business I was involved with a long, long time ago. Part of the business was selling t-shirts to septic tank pumping operations. Our 2nd best seller was the "You Dump It, We Pump It" shirt. But the most popular by far was one that said "Your Shit Is Our Bread & Butter" ... I never saw anyone wearing one out in public, but we sure sold the hell out of those. There was a keychain in the shape of a slice of bread that was popular with that slogan too.

A good humpity hump day to all.

:)

And we were both beaten by Sandy, but I think she cheats. I never did trust that woman.

Not true! I did use boner and scat though. :D Playing Scattegories with Sandy's friends once, the clue was things beginnging with P that are found in a park. My answer was Pedophiles. No one likes playing board games with me. |huh

Emma failed to mention that we got to watch Preacher on his webcam as he told us stories about anal exploration and 400 pound men. It was HOT!

That's her point. We rotated the bed and switched sides. That puts my head where my feet used to be :) I hope I am used to the wrong side of the bed tonight. :)

How could I have forgotten that moment? It's certainly left a scar on my brain

Emerald 2007-02-07 05:48 PM

Glad to see that Emma finally made it home safe. We left Buffalo this morning and the drive was good, until we got 30 minutes from our house .. then it was like being back in Buffalo with high winds, drifting snow and zero visibility - we are currently getting hit hard with snow and they say it wont be stopping till this weekend.. whooohooo!!! Had to shovel 2 feet of snow off the deck just to get inside the house.

Have to wade thru 6 days of emails now, of course 90% of it being spam, it might take me a while.

Thanks for everything GG & Bitch.. had a blast as usual - was great to see familiar faces as well as some new ones.

Now that BlueBrit is back from UK .. we can go camping! lol
