I get to start a brand new diet today. My wife opened test results from my physical yesterday and of course, my cholesterol is high. Oh...sweet, sweet bacon. Anyway, work until later when I have to go to real calling hours.

Going to witness history today at Katrina Ground Zero as the Bay Bridge is opened.

Woke up at 4 am from a strange dream of when I was in High School and we used to drive across the bridge to go fight in Bay St Louis every Friday night.
In the dream I was tooting on a number and jamming the Plasmatics on the stereo as we drove across the bridge, 9 of us crammed into my old 75 Gran Turino, so I got up and rolled a big fat hooter and broke out the Plasmatics cds.
Now I'm just stoned and trying to decide if I'm 17 or 39. Fuck it, I'll be 17 til time to go to the Bridge Fest, then crawl back into the reality of getting old.

I might have a chance to get a few things done today. They changed my friend's chemo schedule before she got started. Now instead of one day a week for three weeks and then a week off, they're going to be using a regimen of four days in one week with three weeks off. So rather than going down to the medical center today, we'll be starting on Monday and going down for four days next week.

Best news for today is we're waiting for a delivery from Honey Baked Ham with a nice spiral sliced ham and a great lemon cream cake.

Good luck with the diet, Jim. I feel you about the bacon. We had some with silver dollar pancakes yesterday and saved some for a hot bacon dressing on a spinach salad for today.

Dissappointing hockey game last night though we almost came back but I guess you can't win them all. Emery didn't play well really nor did the entire team for a period and a half. Miller had a good game for sure and saved Buffalo from the sweep.

Good morning all... seemed like the major part of the storm hit us yesterday afternoon... I don't even think it was raining when we went to bed last night.... and yet I was still awakened at 6am to the realization of NO power.... hmmmmmm. There were 4 electric company trucks in our development when I left... that can't be good...

afternoon all. Been a busy morning. Getting the host to install some packages so that scripts that i'm working on will do their thing. On another server getting cox to route to the box properly as of right now cox is hitting europe and then coming back to new york. Very strange.

Other than that probs get back on the freesite train as i've been swamped with coding the past couple days and a box upgrade on one server. Time to gather up a couple more cats of recips and submit to some new areas as well.

You are so right.. it used to help me too sharing what's going on with me until someone told me something nasty about it. I'm sorry Stu. I know that you are going through something bad but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is other then someone close to you seems to be dying. I certainly know what it is like to have someone close die. I've lost both my parents plus have outlived just about everyone that I grew up with and everyone that I've ever loved.

Yeah I'm living with someone again. She is half my age but we get along great and she adores me. I thought that my next relationship would be with a man but I've leaned to take life as it comes.

well , the rules are good here too, only the time my fatherinlaw got in hospital he was still that way that he mentioned that the docs had to do all to keep him alive, he has say 15% chance to recover, his heart stopped 3 times and they manage to get him back, the only thing we can do is wait and wait.....well i will wait and will go thru hell and try to keep my fam together.
