Oprano Poker invites Greenguy&Jim to the elite six!
 

I reserved Tuesday already for you guys if your interested in having a free poker tournaments for your board members( you give out whatever you want for prizes).



we start with 6 boards in the network. all 6 boards pick a day of the week to have a free poker tournament(as long as it's not taken already) you can have any kind of tournament you want. and give whatever you want for prizes. The players who make it to the final table(10 players) of each board's tournament gets an entry to weekly Oprano Poker"Best of the Boards Poker Showdown" on Sunday where they can win some very big prizes if they finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. All of this and it will cost $0... nothing.

We will promote your board on the day of the week you have it.


well so far we have Tues(yours if you want it)., Thurs., and Sunday reserved. So if Greenguy&Jim would like to have a weekly free tournament just say we're in and pick a day out of the week you want it on.

The Poker tourneys after the show are always so cool takes the edge off of a hard day at the office so to speak .

hey, pornstar2pac....Aren't you the one who owns or runs choicepoker.com. If so I got 15 email messages today each with a virus from wu@choicepoker.com. You might want to see if you guys are infected. I have been getting them once an hour all day.

That virus masks addresses that it finds throughout the web so if you got one from someone it doesn't necessarily mean they are invected. So I heard.

wow, no i just use their poker rooms for promotion. i just got off the phone with the owner too and didn't mention anything. I'll look into it. i too got lots os email with viruses but nothing from choice poker

I figured it was just a masked address. I just wanted to make sure because I signed up a week or so ago for the free game over their and that email address is where I am getting the virus. I guess it's just coincidental.

ok, I'm getting it set up and should be up and ready for people to sign up at first thing Monday.


When it does go up, i'll post how to register and leave the password here. We will have a pinned thread over at Oprano Poker and it will lists all the tournaments from allthe boards for playing that week. people who go to Oprano to check when the next tournament is, will have to click on that board that is having it, and will take them to the thread that has the password.




We figure it would be good cross promotion. I have green&jim button at the Oprano Poker blog and I was hoping maybe we can have a Oprano Poker button here . anywhere is cool, We are now going to make the poker board very active and post and talk about some cool poker sites and blogs.




On your tournament, it's up to you on if you want to give out prizes. I got lucky this week and 1 of Oprano sponsers gave two very nice prizes for the winners. some nights I only had shitrs or a hat to give out. It didn't really matter,the board members just want to have fun for a couple of hours playing poker.

Is there a way to set this up so it's only our members by any chance? I'd give away prizes if that was the case, but there's no sense in giving away prizes to non-board members :(

yes I can change the password next week if you like and you can email your members it. when I go and promote you, I don't tell them the password. I give them a link to this thread so they have to come here and see the password if they want to play. I get40-50 non members to come to your site. I can stop that if you like. I would suggest keeping it that way, but this is your gig.

Let me run it past Jim - we like to reward our member with gifts, but seeing as last week, the guy that won it was not registered here & the guy that knocked me out & won the link on my page ended up selling it on GFY, well, it's pretty useless to give prizes to non-board members.

...and I'm not trying to knock the promotion you give to the board via promoting the tournaments, just trying to reward those that help us around here :)

I hear what your saying. last night Oprano.com put up a 450 cash prize but the winner had to have at least 50 posts at Oprano to win it. Our winner last night didn't so he lost out. I would go along the lines saying that to win the prizes you have to be a member, have at least 50 posts.

Yah, all the boards are slowly moving towards this. To win the cash prize at Medium Pimpin tomorrow you have to have at least 25 posts on their board.

I agree with MasterP, give a prize, but require that:

A. Only registered members to your boards can win. If they aren't registered and post to claim their prize within 48 hours, it goes to the next person that IS a registered member.

B. Set a minimum number of posts that they need to have. 25, 50, 100, 1000. Whatever you think it fair.

This way you are only supporting the webmasters that support you.
