Considerably warmer in Houston this morning, currently 64° with rain in the forecast for most of the day.

8-12" then sleet/ice to fall for a few hours after that. The endless winter continues ........

I flew back into Toronto late yesterday after a flight that seemed to last forever and i was amazed by the amount of snow we have had since i left. Roberts going to freak out when he gets to see it, especially as it's a balmy -19c outside :D You'd better forget those shorts this trip my friend!!!

I've got a lot to do after being away, which will keep me busy most of the day but I will be up to date by sun down, fingers crossed.

Good Morning All. Different day for me, lol. A bit of work, a lot of weed pulling, and our new internet installed. I can't wait. I really hope it is faster than the other two have been. |bananna|

Got the end wall on the greenhouse yesterday, and the wind kicked up so couldn't skin the sides. Supposed to be windy the next few days, so will have to hold off. I can see us holding 12' long sheets of thick plastic in the wind, we'd be sailing to the neighbors. Have a good one all.

Good Morning

Stopped by the store and bought a loaf of fresh baked french bread on the way to the beach. Took along some smoked sausage links I cooked earlier today and a tub of butter and my jar of jack ass jelly and the gulls and I had a lil feast on this nice warm summer morning. If the sun had been shining a lil harder it would have been perfect, but beggar's can't be choosers, so..

Got the guts installed in 3 new sites last night, so I'll be making them pretty today and launching soon. Other than that, back to the beach for sunset, followed by a trip for crawfish, oysters, shrimp, and gator tail at the Crawfish Hut on the way back.

BluBrit is back from UK and this will be his last trip as a single man hahaha He isnt due back there till October! Its cold outside but the sun is shinning - we both have lots of work to catch up on!

Alright. Got up to do work and my internet is moving like a snail. Called Cox and got a nice recorded message that they are already on the case. More of the same today. bah. Time to get to it.

Finishing up a non adult project today and then back to the project at hand.

For all of those who think they have bad weather I have four words for you-I AM SNOWED IN!! (actually iced in)

I guess I'll get some work done today since I cant leave my house. A state of emergency has been called for my county. There are 34000 people without power and the roads are impassable (there has been over 23 accidents this morning alone). The national guard has been mobilized to help dig us out.

The bright side is I still have power. I have plenty of food and drink and I still have an internet connect so I guess I'll just hang.

I woke up around 2PM (I went to bed around 7AM) so I guess this is my morning...So far this "morning" I wake up to an extremely cold house. We ran out of heating oil last night. The oil truck comes, he fills our tank and tries to leave but the black ice in the driveway makes it impossible. I call my father and he shows up with his tractor and breaks a chain trying to haul the oil truck up the driveway. The driver came in to use the phone to call someone to help get him out but I can't find the phone (we have cells, but mine is dead and his doesn't work out here, we're rural, the land line is never used and I can't find the land line phone we had kicking around.) So he probably doesn't know what to think, us not having a working phone. So he walks to my parents house to use their phone. And he's an old guy, I feel pretty bad for him at this point having to deal with all this bullshit. All the while its still cold as hell in the house because the furnace wont turn on so my father is priming it in the cellar. 2 or three hours later he gets hauled out.

Now its time to get a shower and get some work done.

Going to my first political meeting in years tonight, should be interesting with an election coming soon. My father is thinking about running so I guess I'll back him ;)
