I just had my PayPal account terminated because of "mature transactions"

Long story short, I was sending a partner of mine money for a project over the last few weeks. Well, his email address is an adult site & thus, they are assuming that the money is "mature" & have cancelled me.

So, just a word of advice - use a non-adult or ISP email addy for your PayPal stuff, because they are watching.

That is just so fucked up. |angry|

that's what I have bene doing, any payments I get are from ISP emails only. I even tell people NOT to mention websites in their 'reason' fields.

The fucked up thing is that his PayPal accout is still active!!!!!

The accused me of buying something from the site he's got in his email addy, so you'd think they'd have cancelled his.

Odd thing is, that site sells nothing at all - LOL

sometimes paypal just likes to close accounts for silly reasons... did they freeze anything in it? If so, they might have just used it as an excuse to freeze those funds to keep for themselves.

That so sucks :(

Don't quote me, but I think they will keep your account froze for 6 months then release it, that way it's covered for chargebacks

total BS if you ask me.

That is weird to freeze you for sending money. I can see receiving, but sending?

I had no money in there, so I'm not out anything.

I don't have one of their CC or ATM cards, but I do have the business account & my checking accounts are hooked up to it.

DrB - Epassport, if they ever get it the way they said it would work when it came out, would be fantastic.

If Epassporte did what was promised, they would be perfect. Hell, I am only asking for an increase of limit and can't get it.

But, it would be nice to be able to transfer money from Epassporte to a bank account instead of taking out $500/day and depositing it.

I was gonna add "Just ask Jim how good ePassporte is" to my last post, but I didn't want to ruffle too many feathers :D

I only have two complaints about Epassporte. They never came through with their coming soon plans mentioned a year ago, more or less.

And, I asked for an increase in my daily limit. I filled out the forms and faxed them to them with my personal information and they claim they never received them. I told them I would not fax it a 3rd. time. I was told 2 weeks ago that my limit was approved for an increase and it would be done within 48 hours. I am still waiting for the increase. KimmyKim told me she would take care of it immediately for 3 days and nothing was done. Rand wrote to me and said, "you were increased from $300 to $500 2 weeks ago". The problem with that is that I have always been at $500.

I still use and will continue to use Epassporte. There is just a lot of room for improvement. And still a lot of coming soons that I am still waiting for.

Greenie, that is totally fucked up. Same kinda shit happened to us around new years. Took 3 weeks of battling via email to get it restored. Mishi found an email for a guy at paypal that has a bit more sanity than the normal reviewers there. She's going to look for it a little later this evening and I'll have her come over here and post it or PM you it.

On Monday, I had someone with a @yahoo.com address ask for my PayPal address as they wanted to send money (which they never did) and then on Wed. PayPal closed my account. When Probilling stopped processing CC's last week, I temporarily said I would accept PayPal and so they must be very aggressive at hunting down adult transactions to have found me out so fast. Be carefull.

They did the same thing to me a few weeks back and my email addy was not an adult one. I had just received a large sum in my account and all of a sudden it was locked so I returned the payment to the perosn who sent it to me and then charged their CC on my merchant ok. Stuff PayPal.

I just wish paypal were regulated in some way .. considering they have access to bank accounts

and epassporte, well they really need to follow through on their promised plans imho

venturi, any chance you can PM me that e-mail addy? I have my account frozen atm and it's for an even more idiotic reason, but I can't wait for ever for them to get off their asses and solve the issue... Hell, no one has even replied to my e-mail yet...

I got my accounts suspended because I still used an old adult site addy. It took a while, several phone calls, faxes and lots of pulled hair but I got it resolved and re-opend. I now use my non adult e-mail addy Only.
I still haven't signed up for e-passporte but read about it on many boards and so far haven't heard any horror stories (like I have with paypal lol). I will most likely signup with them soon - always good with a backup plan if paypal feels like flippin' out on me again |pissed|

Some sponsors will open the account for you with your first payment.

I got my Epassporte account thru ARS and got both virtual and physical cards without ever giving Epassporte my CC info.

As did I with Flashcash.

I've been watching and waiting for Epassporte to become viable for me. Right now it's no better than Paypal to me.

What I don't like about epassporte is that to pay someone I have to do a wire transfer to my epassporte account first whereas with paypal you could set it up to use the money from you CC.

I signed up with Paypal a few weeks ago using the email
@ pornolistic.com. So now this email stands as my primary email. I just added another non adult email(right now It stands as "unconfirmed". But can I just remove the @ pornolistic? And if I do what about the $ I have under that account(shoud I Withdraw the the $ I have first, ore will they still be there under the new email i signed up, when I have eraced the adult email I signed up under at first place?).

Well I just confirmed the new email, and then tryed to remove the old(adult) one, but got this message: "You cannot remove your primary email address." So what now? |sad|

I guess the reason I like Epassporte is because Flashcash opened the account for me. When they did, they paid the fee from what they owed me and deposited the rest of my earnings in there. From that point on, I have been having other sponsors making deposits as well. I never really had to transfer any cash into the account at all myself.
Then I just use the money when I need it. (Like when I'm in Vegas and feel the need to give them even more money at the Let it Ride table.)

But yes, one of the huge draw backs is not being able to transfer the money right into my business account.
