Friday The 13th! AAAHHHHHHH!

Happy Friday The 13th |santa2

Another early day for me, as I have a |loony| appt at 8:30. She'll get to see me at my worst as I slept like shit last night.

I watched a horror movie called The Signal last night & it was gory & funny - two things I'm finding go great together. I was never a big fan of horror movies, but after watching all the newer zombie movies (like Resident Evil) I decided to look into the overall genre a little bit.

Timely subject for the date? |slice

SirMoby 2008-06-13 06:46 AM

I'm old enough that I took a high school date to the original Friday 13th movie as it was just released in the studios.

JackDaniel's 2008-06-13 06:49 AM

Good Morning Everyone |waves|

Based on the release date of October, 1981 it seems that I had moved on from the redhead that I took to Friday 13th, started dating a beautiful brunette, had a daughter that was given up for adoption and graduated high school by then.

Damn I'm old |cry|

MrMaryLou 2008-06-13 07:40 AM

Good Morning All :)

Cleo 2008-06-13 07:48 AM

Never been a big fan of the horror genre but I did find the Resident Evil flicks entertaining.

Watched No Country For Old Men last night. Thought it was disappointing with a stupid ending with no conclusion that left me saying WTF.

Speaking of endings also watched a movie called Happy Endings that was cute, ironic, funny, and did have a good ending.

Not much planned for today since we both seem to have woken up with stuffed up noses and other cold symptoms again. Maybe I can take some cold meds and fuck up some more submits.

stuveltje 2008-06-13 07:50 AM

Goodmorning all:) its 1:46 midday here and a bit rainy!
I was up early so i could get the last stuff for fathersday this sunday, ofcourse when i came home i noticed i forgot some stuff again and i had to drive back to the other town to get it....waaahhhhhhhhhh!|angry|.
I hate the facted that i think i am done and then still have to drive back again #@#$%%$#@#$.
And i thought (till one minute ago when i saw the morning thread title) that is was the 12 of jun today|crazy|!
But if i am right then i am done for today, so i can put my lazy ass on the couch and watch telly and eat a ton of snacks:D
I wish you all a great day and eve|waves|

ArtWilliams 2008-06-13 07:54 AM

Good morning. I plan to cower under my bed all day. Have a great one all!

Bobc01 2008-06-13 07:55 AM

Morning all. :)

Not into zombie films myself, we have to many as politicians here.

I'm waiting for Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay to come out on DVD.

Simon 2008-06-13 08:11 AM

Good morning world |waves|

I don't care what anyone says about the ending of No Country For Old Men, I say it was every bit as conclusive as and left me with at least as strong a feeling of closure as the final episode of The Sopranos.

I'm hoping for no reason for paraskevidekatriaphobia today, but you never know.

Netflix sent me Funny Games which should fulfill the horror quotient later.

Wishing everyone a friggatriskaidekaphobic-free Friday.

:D

(now have to learn how to pronounce them correctly)

Tekster 2008-06-13 08:50 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

I got the worst of my cold, flu or whatever this is, last night.

Ramster 2008-06-13 08:50 AM

Good Morning.

Resident Evil movies were good, definitely liked them. Horror overall I am not into much like Hostel and Saw and that shit. I do like gory fantasy/zombie movies or thrillers though like Mothman Prophecies and such.

docholly 2008-06-13 09:05 AM

Morning..
for some reason HGTV has finally gotten to me or maybe it's the |greenguy| influence in his forever ongoing renovation projects but I have a carpenter coming today to give me an estimate on redoing my office/bedroom and my deck. Plus the exterminator and my twice a month clerical help will be here.

Anyway.. getting a handle on my hubs so they will be ready to almost auto-update for the next 6 months. Who knew that porn would take such a lot of clerical grunt work?? |huh

|waves| have a good one..

PS: See Zombie Strippers when it comes out. Really funny/gory movie.

Probably because the Hive is what Microsoft called their datastore in W2k. :) And the hive is very protective of being shut down.

Hope everyone has a good day - for me, moving on to the next phase in a project. Replaced 828 lines of C with 43 lines of perl last night, and it works better. Lesson learned -- do not outsource certain projects.

digifan 2008-06-13 09:52 AM

Good morning!
Friday the 13th used to be my Dad's lucky day. It's bloody windy here, I believe more rain to come. My fatigue just won't leave me.
have a great one ;)

Hell yeah! Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Ali Larter all running around killing zombies! |headbang|

Cleo 2008-06-13 10:21 AM

SciFi is showing the whole episode of tonight's mid season final of BSG. Just finished watching it. Very good episode, can't wait to see what happens next. It's sucks that we have to wait a long time for the rest of the final season.

Don't want to give away the ending but as I sat there after it was over I just kept on wondering if apes on horseback would be riding up when the season resumes. :D

It can be seen here or on SciFi's website.

diablo blanco 2008-06-13 10:30 AM

Ramster, you should check out the Re-Animator. Very funny/gory. As for it being friday th 13th, it's always been a good day for me.

Same here. I looked at my son who had already seen it and said WTF? He just laughed at me and said I had no appreciation for good film.

bluebrit 2008-06-13 10:40 AM

Good morning all.

Today I'm writing a list of things to do, things still to finish, things I want to do and things I had forgotten about but in writing all the rest down I remembered again, that still need to be done!!!

After that entertaining brain throb I'm going to do nothing until the 14th :D

hashbury 2008-06-13 10:50 AM

good morning all

sue-fl 2008-06-13 11:01 AM

Morning!

I love scary movies, not a big fan of the real gory ones though. It doesn't have to be gory to be scary.

Sir Molby I saw Friday 13th while in High School also, so your not alone |thumb

Simon is messing with my head with those big words today..:D

Today is Friday and even though it was a fast week I'm glad it's over. Have a nice day and weekend all!

JohnnyR 2008-06-13 11:03 AM

On there run here, just wishing everyone a nice weekend! And sorry you're sick tekangel

I thought the same thing until I realized that the movie is about the sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones) I've seen it 4 times now & I fucking LOVE it.

JustRobert 2008-06-13 11:06 AM

Good Morning :)
Bit of work on the agenda and dinner with my Mom later since she is flying back home tomorrow.

Preacher 2008-06-13 11:08 AM

I love horror movies...big suprise huh? :D

The only ones that really creep me out are the ones with a lot of disturbing imagery like Silent Hill |ghost| or any of the Japanese flicks like The Grudge & Dark Water -- I've seen the Japanese versions of most of those as well. Some of my favorites are the old classic Halloween or Fiday the 13th movies which are hysterical.|chainsaw|

The funny thing is that the film that has scared/creeped me out the most in recent years was Snakes on a Plane. I guess I have a snake phobia that I never really knew about...and yes my wife laughed at me about that too. |pokefun|

Signed some papers about a house last night so hopefully it will go through but that means moving and more work on my plate for my already packed summer. I'll be in and out today. |waves|

Mr Exotic 2008-06-13 11:12 AM

I've been feeling a bit blah here lately. I think playing softball 5 days week with this god awful heat and humidity we've been getting is starting to drain me. And the fact that I tore the shit out of my leg doesnt help matters any. Sliding into 2nd base wearing shorts on soaking wet brick dust has left my leg a mangled mess from the knee to the ankle, I've spent more time than I would care for doing wound care this week. Found out I've gotta wash it 3 times a day or it starts getting infected. I've been working on getting fatter this week, been out to eat 3 times because of all the birthdays in my wife's family this week, last night being the worse since we ate at one of those buffet all you can eat places, I think I've lost 8 pounds this morning during my already 2 trips to the tiolet, haha. Other than that, its just another day in the life of a straight guy making more gay porn sites

bDok 2008-06-13 12:01 PM

Morning everyone. Watching more golf while doing data entry on a new project. Was going to setup some code this morning but I'm in no mood.

So it will be a ton of data entry and cleaning up ... actually redoing my submit database to ones I know review in a timely manner and have actually accepted my sites. bah. Later I'll be updating a bunch of sites with some new stuff as well. Fun just doesn't stop. ;)

It is an ending that catches you off guard. That being said I really enjoyed it more the second time through. Really dialed more into what was being said. Thought it wrapped up great. Can see how it can be not someones cup of tea though.

Funny thing is I also watched this movie last night. The ending was abrupt to say the least. Odd movie overall. Can't say I liked it or hated it, it was ok I guess.

Happy Friday the 13th. Nursing my hangover from the wifeys B-day. My wife got a little freaky with a girl at the bar. That happens sometimes. Eventually going to her house and to experience her first lesbo sex was nice :)Any way my damn Lakers deserve to lose the series after blowin a 20 point lead.

balls_deep 2008-06-13 02:09 PM

smutguy 2008-06-13 02:34 PM

Happy Friday The 13th Everyone

We will be eating pizza then watching Friday The 13th Part 8 Jason Takes Manhattan and 13 Ghost to go along with the 13th theme today.

SheepGuy 2008-06-13 03:19 PM

The only movie that ever gave me nightmares was The Shining. The scene with the naked but dead babe in the bathroom coming on to Nicholson creeped me right out.
And the "Heeeere's Johnny!" line had me laughing my ass off!

Thanks a lot!! now I had to watch it all again reminding myself it's from the Sheriff's POV.. not an overall 'closure' scene.

Happy Friday the 13th Everyone!

papagmp 2008-06-13 11:17 PM

Spent all day getting odds and ends tied up, chatting with friends and being a regular pain in the ass. Gotta love being me.

The "closure" everyone looks for & misses is him retiring.

I also think the title of the movie is a reference to the diner scene with him & the local law guy talking about kids with green hair & bones in their noses.

DAMN TEENAGERS |angry|
