Good Morning
Kind of a busy night last night. My Sons went out and grabbed my Durango that I was going to give to my Brother in Law. He was going to do work for me but for some reason, he just didn't do it. I let him take the Durango a few months ago but never gave him the title and kept it on the road in my name. The cops called and laughed when they found out it was in my possession. :)

Off to Greenie's this morning.

The sun is out, our macaws are squawking, and it's raining.

Bought all our hurricane supplies yesterday including 100+ gallons of gas. Already a lot of gas stations or out of gas I'm told by friends that tried to fill up their cars yesterday. It's looking like it may go south of us and Cuba, not looking too good for Simon though, and miss us but still too soon to be sure so better prepared then sorry.

A friend asked me to stop by and see why her generator wouldn't start. She left it outside in the rain for the past two years with a broken gas cap so the tank and carburetor was full of water and the whole generator was just a big rusted mess. Guess she will be generator shopping if she wants power after the next storm. I don't get people that leave something expensive like that outside uncovered in the elements.

Doing the gym this morning and then just a day of working at home planned.

Good morning all. Yet more painting today followed by OTB if I'm really lucky and links later. Other than that I'm enjoying a cuppa before I get started.

What Cleo said about the coming hurricane Ike. The path this morning is showing it moving almost directly over the Keys* by beginning of the week. CNN keeps calling it a monster storm, which you can see in this view from the space station.

This weekend I should review lots of stuff for next week in case we're off the grid for awhile down here, but it's tempting to just take the weekend off and enjoy the pre-storm days while I can.

* For those who don't know where the Keys are located, we're the little tiny islands off the bottom tip of Florida where the red line of the storm track touches between Tuesday and Wednesday on that map.

Finally got a day off and plan to do some more site building. I got way behind on building because of emergency overtime everyday for the past two weeks due to the hurricanes. At least I can look forward to some nice phat paychecks... :D

Mine did not start that well, too hot and windy to sleep or exist plus sis brought me a cactus and I happened to grab it.. now my fingers hurt. The fan is on, all windows are open and I am short on oxygen. I hate it.

As Jim stated, he's coming into town today for tomorrow's Bills/Seahawks game. Supposed to be perfect football weather: 68° & 10 mph winds. I guess we're going to tailgate, but I haven't spoken to any of the regular party crew since last season, so I have no idea who's going to be there. It could very well be The Bitch, me, Jim & Spudly. I feel bad for my wife :D

Of course being an economist with a statistics background, I did some football number running that came up very interesting. Unless I get bored with this or run out of time, I'm going to try to do this weekly. (see official football post)

Good afternoon. Feel great after sleeping way in. Going to just be relaxing and watching movies and stuff that was tivo'ed today. Then tomorrow it's time for some football!@$## Like greenie I have yet to see most of my tailgate family and one of the wives in between seasons has managed to have a kid. LOL. So I missed seeing her preggers and possibly now they might have the kid there. Too funny.

Good Morning. MadHatter and I just got back from the park and playing Bad mitten. Given neither of us have played in probably 20 years, we had a blast. Found a ring that was surrounded by 4 big trees, so we had shade, and had at it. Actually got up to 4 or 5 volleys most times before one of us couldn't hit it. :)

In a few hours, we are walking 2 miles down to pick up our new scooters, can't wait. Been waiting 2 weeks for them to come in. |bananna| I'll have to post up some pics tomorrow, they sure look a lot slicker then the old honda sprees I had years ago. Going to get MadHatter to airbrush some flames down the sides of them.
