P.S. Gotta mail quarterly estimated taxes today. I set the money aside monthly, so the funds are there, but damn I hate writing that check. :(

We have a Russian couple staying with us this week so I think I have to drop them off downtown and then get back to work.

Without saying too much, last Wednesday, a very good friend found his wife had committed suicide. Since then, I have been his driver/run around guy/drinking partner and shoulder to cry on.

Anyway, back to work and normal life.

We went from 35º C to 4 in a day with huge storms etc so i could use some heating. My neighbor is a dr so fixed my finger and I did not have to go to the ER, and ordered me rest for Sunday. I am a good girl and did what I was told to :) Now I also have work plans plus radiation every day and it's cold and heavy rain outside... huh. Kind of a busy Stuvelje post, isn't it?

I spent a lovely 12 hours down in the Pool House yesterday watching football. It was the 1st time I experimented with 2 TV's and once I figure out the logistics, I'll have to take a picture & show off how much of a geek I've become |pokefun||greenguy|

Morning all, just trying to wake up enough to go for a morning walk. Haven't walked since Thursday, so have to get back in the groove of things. Tried sewing yesterday for the first time in awhile, and I hate patterns that give instructions for 3 projects at a time, and you have to figure out what bit is for the one you are working on. Dang I made a lot of mistakes. Then they left off that I needed webbing. But when I'm done I'll have a mod flower power "green" bag to use for shopping instead of the boring black ones you buy at the store. :D

So its porn, sewing, walk, and watering the green house kinda day.

Jim, so sorry about your friend. That is tough one, hope he is ok.

Did not sleep much last night so a nap is headed my way once or twice today. Have more work to do plus I need to run to the bank and post office today as well.

Great day for me yesterday. Colts come from behind and win, and Carlos Zambrano throws a no hitter for the Cubs. What more could a die hard Cubs and Colts fan ask for :)

My softball team has a game tonight, hopefully we can keep things going, after losing our first 2 fall league games we've won our last 3.

Have a meeting in a few minutes then I'm hitting the sack for a bit - need to be at the county health dept at three and I haven't slept in a loooooong while.

Morning everyone. I'm a bitter charger fan today. I'm mostly over it except for the fact my instant messenger is blowing up with people more angry than me I guess about the turn of things yesterday. Looking forward to next monday though. :)

Been busy with a bunch of updates on parts of my site. Going to begin modifying a database table to add more functionality to the site. Going to work out some other stuff but haven't exactly picked what I'm going to focus on. bah. Need more coffee I guess.

At least it was when I thought I'd said something earlier, about 3 posts in this morning. But my mind must have wandered off to the newsletter I was getting out and forgotten. So rather than whatever I was going to say earlier I can tell you that instead.

Brand new and nice little 10 acre park just opened this month about 2 blocks from my house. Just far enough that the evening lights don't bother me. Nice walking/bike path with workout stations, bocce and shuffleboard courts, skate park, roller hockey rink, three full or 6 half basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball field, and lots of open space, all along the waterfront. I'll get some photos from the second story of the new community center they built in the park. I took a few pics this morning but it's hard to see a lot from ground level.

Yeah, I know it's going to be hard to find excuses not to exercise more with all that around the corner.

I get worked up generally at the time of the game and after it for a little while. W or L. (I enjoy the rush from a win more though. ;) ) Then I drop it. That's the fun of it. I yell at the box a lot and pace around the house while watching football.

I'm crazy about baseball too. It's a relief that the Angels are hot right now.
