Happy Tuesday Morning

Good Morning
My big thing today is going to lunch and having a nice Braciole with a side order of peppers. The resturant only has it on Tuesdays and I think it's been about 7 years since I have had it.

Oh yeah...work too, of course. :)

NY Jester 2008-09-23 08:41 AM

Happy Tuesday - well I think Favre and the Jets got their asses handed to them in that game whats with the back and forth on MNF |huh Kind of reminded me of the Philly - Dallas game from last weak, minus the talent. :D

Finished up some stuff early, been up since 6 and that will give me time to get some organization done. |thumb

Have a good one all. |waves|

Ramster 2008-09-23 08:49 AM

Good Morning.

Got nothing, just work for me today.

Tekster 2008-09-23 08:53 AM

Good Morning,
My plan is just like Ramster's

MrMaryLou 2008-09-23 08:58 AM

Good Morning All :)

Another day of Home Depot dread and marketing the nasties.

Once the sun got low in the sky we went up on the roof to paint it thinking how hard could it be to pour out paint and push it around with a paint roller. Didn't realize that the paint would be all but impossible to mix using a stick. Got the first bucket mixed pretty good but never did get the second bucket mixed completely and only managed to get about a third of the roof painted using 10 gallons of the 15 gallons that I bought.

Going back to Home Depot today to pickup one of those paint mixer things that go in a drill and also another 5 gallons of paint.

Morning everyone. I'll be sitting at home all day today keeping my fingers crossed that Directv will come out and fix my broken satellite dishes like they're supposed to. |yawn|

CD Smith 2008-09-23 09:19 AM

'Morning Jim, and everyone.

It's raining like crazy here today (and most of the night), no bike ride today for me. (Moutain bike)
(no mountains, street and trails only)

Looks like a good day to stay in and...and......oh god am I really going to say it?... "WORK"

There I said it. :D

Toby 2008-09-23 09:37 AM

Mornin' y'all,

I'm back home from Atlanta. Great show. As you'd expect from SweetT and NationalNet, everything was first rate and ran like a well oiled machine.

I'll be in recovery mode for a few days. :)

Still no power here at home, but it's getting closer.

|coffee is on, help yourself...

stuveltje 2008-09-23 09:43 AM

Morning all:) its 3:40 midday here!
Finally i see some progress in the painting job|bananna|, my house is still a huge mess, but if all goes like we want then this saturday hubby can put in the new floor|bananna|, its just a bit hectic in the house now because the kids are out of school and hanging around (because of the rainy weather) and i have paint alot of stuff...i wonder which of the kids will be the first with a "stripe of paint" on their hands or clothes:D
No diner cooking for me, no time for that, it will be pizza for the hubby and kids and yoghurt with some fresh fruit for me (i will save the steak for tomorrow)
Stu<--- making a post it note, that i have to weight myself tomorrow morning!
Wishing you all a great "paint free" day and eve!:D|waves|

digifan 2008-09-23 09:55 AM

Good day,
I got nothing new... have a great one!

Greenguy 2008-09-23 09:56 AM

Good Tuesday Peoples |waves|

I'm finally caught up from July & August - I vacation & party way too much in the summer.

I think I'll start to add more categories to LOR today - I have a list of 30 or so potential categories. MY goal for today is to finally split up that Gay Ethnic category - too many fights when you have the blacks, Asians & Latinos in the same place |couch|

bDok 2008-09-23 09:57 AM

RedCherry 2008-09-23 11:14 AM

Morning all. Really sore this morning in my lower back, guess the extra walking yesterday was a bit much. Of course, when I complained to MadHatter, he said the cure was more walking the sadist. |bullshit| So guess I'll be going for a walk, then doing a bunch of work. Have a good one all.

docholly 2008-09-23 11:22 AM

It was on the morning news.. apparently 2 people on the 26th floor were smoking in bed. the mattress caught fire and they were taken to the hospital. I flipped over after I posted that.. it's out now.

Good morning everyone. It's Taco Tuesday :)

Fonz 2008-09-23 12:15 PM

Good afternoon folks.

Doing some reviews and watching recorded episodes of Bones and Californication is about all that's on my agenda for the rest of the day.
Tomorrow I'm getting my first lessons for the drivers license that allows me driving around with a trailer that weighs over 750kg. Exam is this Saturday :)

Thats about it. Have a good one all!

bluebrit 2008-09-23 12:55 PM

Good afternoon all.
I'm taking a day off from painting because I feel totally exhausted.

I have spent the past two + weeks filling, sanding, painting, plumbing and wiring but it's almost all done, so this weekend may see the end of it |bananna|

As for today i'm going to spend time adding a bunch of links to my sites.
Have a good one whatever it brings you |thumb

oke i have to know, sanding...is that mmmmmmmmmmm making wood smood like baby butts, you use some stuff to get rid off the old paint, or whatever....damn this is one of the times i realy wish i was an usa girl.......but i am sure sanding is the thing which i am doing already for some weeks, before painting and after the first layer of painting...and a thing which i realy realy hate!, but i just need to check for sure

I was referring to sanding the walls smooth after filling holes and scratch marks with polyfiller but I have stripped a lot of wood in the past.

If your going to repaint your woodwork you can save time by using a paint stripper, which will take off 2/3 coats of paint per application. You could also use a gas torch, which will burn the paint away in seconds but be careful not to set your house on fire :D
I've used both of the above in the past because it makes the job a lot faster and easier and you can strip a whole house in a couple of days. Try asking at your your local hardware store for paint stripper. They should be able to tell you what you need |thumb

Did they point the jets from the water show at it?

You better not have thrown out that 70's swinger furniture the previous owner left for you! And don't fuck up the wire from that antenna - I'm hooking up some free HDTV for you when we come up |thumb

yep thats what i needed to know, yep i am doing that also for some weeks, although i like to fill the holes thing, i only hate the sanding thing, some moms at the school of my son are looking at me with strange eyes, yes i have bin sanding and i am looking dusty, but i am realy not gonna change my clothes to pick up my son while i have to do the fucking sanding stuff again(keep in mind that my son is at a school where the moms have rich hubbies and dont have to do anthything themself, me and some other moms are totally the other way around)........:D about the stairs, sanding it,putting the first layer of paint on it, waiting till its dry, sanding it again and putting the last layer of paint on it again.....even my goddamn nosehairs are getting white because of the sanding i am doing......but sanding was the word i was looking for, btw, the gas thing to remove the paint for....my hubby forbid me to use that one, hell that shows alot of trust in me...i wonder why the hell he thinks that way....oh maybe because the house got full of smoke because i was baking some bread in the oven twice?:D i had an alibi...it wasnt my fault...realy it wasnt|huh

smutguy 2008-09-23 05:10 PM

Good afternoon everyone

The furniture is still there but I have no intention of swinging with you! I may be freaky but I'm not that freaky :D
And the wiring to the antenna hasn't been touched but I need to check where it actually runs too. The thought of free HDTV is well worth the challenge of going up in the attic to check it out prior to your arriving |thumb

Get your hubby to do the sanding if he doesn't trust you to use a burner to do it. That way you can get out of the hard work and just do the painting |thumb

If I remember, there were 2 cables coming into the upstairs living room - odds are one is hooked up to the antenna.

I'll bring my tools :D
