I woke up at 6:30 for no reason, but I know I'm going to be taking a nap today as it's my step-daughter's 21st birthday & we promised that we would be going out to a bar with her for a couple drinks. The really strange thing is that the bar is in my old town & I know there will be a lot of my old drinking buddies there. Joy.

Also, seeing as it's Thanksgiving in Canada, let me be the 1st to say: You're Welcome :D

I can't ever remember being this wet. Another day of rain is in today's forecast.

I need to get over to Geico and drop off the keys to the rental since we left it there after we drove to two Enterprise rental places on Saturday only to find out that all Enterprise rental places are closed from noon Saturday until Monday which seems very odd to me for a place that rents cars.

Other then having to get dressed and leave the house way too early for something as silly as dropping off keys just another thrilling day of nakedness on the computer screen planned on this moist day.

Good news is the Canadian dollar is at a 4 year low compared to the American dollar. I hope it keeps going or at least stays here for the first of the next month because of course I transferred the bulk of my money last Monday, I got a good exchange but it then dropped another 9% by Friday. |huh

Will selling panties be a new business for you?

Work, picking up kids and football is all I've got on the agenda for today.

well I was up pretty early this morning as my oldest son started feeling really sick about 5:30am. We ended up at emerg for a couple of hours as none of the clinics were open yet. Turns out he has a pinched nerve in his neck and besides the pain it's making him feel sick. Nothing to do but hot packs, rest and advil so we'll see how he feels later.

Supposed to go to my mom's for Thanksgiving dinner, but it just may be me and Matthew (my youngest). I'm sure hubby is really upset about that :D

anyway, hope you all have a good day, turkey or not :)

Payroll Monday.. so I'll be working most of the day. Taking a few breaks.. have to entertain the company (literally) from Portland and the UK. Played golf yesterday..actually I sat in the cart and made drink runs. by the 9th hole we were all hammered. Warm but hammered. Luckily the hotel had sent a car with us. YEAH. |drunk|

Heading out soon to attend the Direct Marketing association trade show.. learning how to spam mailboxes with unwanted post cards etc.

I'm going to spend part of today doing what Pat's doing, only not with The Shield since I'm up-to-date on that one. But I'm taking at least a partial sick day to recover from whatever bad food or stomach bug had my full attention this morning. So it's time to slim down what's on the dvr's drive. Life, Californication, and Sanctuary for sure. Plus two new ones to check out: Life On Mars and Eleventh Hour. Oh, and the latest Down + Dirty with Jim Norton. So maybe it'll be a full sick day.

Could you say that again... but a lot slower this time, and maybe take a breath between words?

Shoveling more bits today.

Everyone is finally getting over a stomach flu that just wont go away around here. Nothing like a 5 year old little girl waking up crying covered in puke in bed, or a 3 year old boy yelling daddy I poopied (come wipe my ass) 6 times a day, or a 6 and a half month pregant woman puking 10 times a day and needing to take suppositories (to stop puking) because she just puked up any oral medications. I was real bad sick for one day, but this fucking thing just wants to keep lingering and every night I feel like I'm gonna puke and since I'm a weinie and fear puking I've gone thru 2 big bottles of peptobismol. All the while going thru the mess with Aphared and rushing around trying to get a new host before the plug gets pulled on my server.

I did mange to get a new server that is in the process of getting set up now, so hopefully alphared holds on for at least a couple days while I make sure everything is gonna work on the new machine. The new host is a little more pricey (like 46$ more a month) but I think it will be better and allow more room for growth. This whole server mess couldnt have come at a worse time, as me and my partner (Xallow) on this new project were just days away from launching our new project that we've been working our asses off on for at least 2-3 months. Oughta be interesting to see if we can get all the custom scripting to work on the new server without too many headaques. He initially wrote it and got it running on his old virtual host, but the virtual host has too many limitations and after 2 weeks of problems, we finally got it all working on my server only to have the alphared mess happen. While I've been working 16 hours a day trying to get the databases set up and full of enough content to get ready to launch. I was so afraid everything was gonna get lost, but I think between all the puking, shitting, and wiping sick kid's asses I managed to get everything backed up and saved.

I do have to tell my daughter when she gets home from school that I found one of her hamsters dead today, she'll probably cry all evening. We have 3 fucking hamster cages, 2 cages with 1 girl apeice (the girls fight and have to be seperated) and the big boy cage with 4 (now 3) that had the original male and 3 babies that we kept. Those hamsters are some rutless bastards, the fucker died up in their nesting area by the tunnel and the other fuckers already had half his head ate off including his eyeballs. Needless to say it was a pretty gruesome site and I'm glad a found it when I went to feed them today and not one of the kids.

Another miserable day.......

I had plans to watch it. At 1:30 I went up,ate some chili, ran the dishwasher, threw some clothes in the dryer & then sat on the couch. The game started late due to some pre-game ceremony (they was a fat kid with a very tight jersey on dropping the 1st puck that made me |pokefun||lol|) and the next thing I remember is The Bitch calling at 3:45 |yawn|
