Got good news from my doctor yesterday. It seems that my exercise, diet, and Niacin supplements has worked and my cholesterol is way down to almost good levels.

Today's plans are pretty much of a repeat of yesterdays plans.

My son and his friends woke me up briefly at 3am last night. When you're 47 that is a good thing because it means you can take a pee and sleep better for the rest of the night. I can't tell you the number of sleeps that are crap because I am too groggy to get up and go to the bathroom. FUCK, I am old!

It looks like most of today will be errands and stuff. I hope to make to OTB but I have to get my ass in gear.

I feel just like yesterday, crappy. Other than OTB no plans here, since I have a hard time concentrating and seeing what's on the computer. Fuck, it sucks to be sick.

Have I mentioned that I hate hosting problems? Is there anyone left on this board who I haven't whined to about my ex host? Is there a single remaining person who I haven't had the chance to sing praises about my new host too? TOO BAD - You're going to hear it again!

Yesterday morning, after being told several times that my old server was "all set," and me having to re-open the support ticket to say, "no it's not," cd34, the SMARTEST MAN ALIVE, was able to send a psychic tether through the mucky matrix and attach himself to the failing unit. He then used that mystical tether to yank my data over to one of his servers. Oh yeah, within a few minutes of beginning the transfer of my sacred data, he spotted the exploit that my old (a large, somewhat respected establishment) wasn't able to locate after 24 hours of tripping over the fucking power cord.

Get this: the old host managed to squeeze out to me a handful of vague, less than reassuring replies in the day and a half when they were apparently searching for the server's power button -- and that was only after I emailed their manager directly. Cd34 of the best host in the world was able to mirror my data, reset file permissions, and update my file paths while chatting with me on ICQ about a variety of topics.

the RDawg might be getting an upgrade on his MP3 player after telling Scandisk he ditched his 250.00 Creative Zen for their 120.00 version. The Creative Zen never worked properly and they blamed Vista but he bought it 8 months after Vista came out..you'd think Creative would have a fix by then.

I wish I could take niacin, but it elevates my blood sugar too much. Fortunately, the policosanol and gugulipid sure help without doing that. Might want to check into taking those too. |thumb

Oh, in keeping with her trait of horrible timing my wife decided to buy a puppy last night, right before I leave so there will be no one to let her out during the day when my wife is at work. I'm up. Finished reading a book this morning in bed. I actually pretended to sleep for about 30 minutes though before starting to read. This was due to the fact that the work out class we were to go to started in 30 minutes. hehe. Going to go run around the park here before the football games, but I so didn't want to go to the gym this morning.

I guess I should go to the bank today and deposit some checks I have on my desk. Other than that and football I might do a little work. Maybe.

Just another typical Saturday over here but such is life. If you're heading to Vegas have a great time and keep us updated on the good stuff.

It is cold here, damn cold and there is not enough gas to heat or cook with or take a shower, damn Putin. I stayed in bed, I don't need a cold after all those surgeries. Came out now for a while tto check emails etc but won't be out long.
