Ha Ha - I've got some of those :)

Maj. Stress 2009-01-26 05:43 PM

Your TODO list looks much more organized than mine. :D

Nymph 2009-01-26 05:59 PM

It must be working for ya, I do see a few things crossed off.

When The List gets to the point where the scribbles and notes in the margin begin to dominate I tear off the page and rewrite The List.

Licker4U 2009-01-26 06:01 PM

I used to do that, then I remembered that a neat desk is the sign of a sick mind and that being organized is the sign of a sick mind as well. Now I just get done what I can when I can.

SheepGuy 2009-01-26 06:02 PM

Hee hee! Mine is mostly on the back of envelopes and pay stubs, and the notes are so cryptic sometimes it take me a while to figure them out. |crazy|
A lined notebook is a great idea |thumb

I have a magnetic white board above my desk with todo lists, ringtone suggestions, reminders, reciepts and gift cards all over it. I'd post a picture but #1, I'd be embarressed and #2 it would show everyone how many gigantic projects I put on my todo list that never even get touched. |pokefun| me

Heheheh.. I have little notepad files because I have been on a keyboard for way too many years and can never ever find a pen (Blame that on the cats!!). I can stick the little text file in the working directory for the site I am working on.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just have to figure out how to remind myself of where all the little notes are. And don't even talk about trying to read my own handwriting. I gave up on that a long time ago. I have a white board, but the cats stole the markers and I am too cheap (read lazy) to buy new ones for them to steal. It does have cork on one site, and I have a couple of push pins that hold checks to be deposited.

I need to get rich so I can have a house boy do the dirty work for me. One that takes dictation would be lovely.

I have a small notepad pad that I write on. It begins looking like that as I sketch ideas for page layouts and stuff on it. Write down phone numbers, etc.

Projects all go into Omni Focus.

Generally either before I'm done at the day or the start of the day I'll list out a list of a couple things that I kinda make my items that are a priority for the day. Basically based out of what I have in Omni Focus or what my lady has mentioned to me. (like get some milk, etc.)

Generally I'll store the notepads for months after I have even filled them up. Phone numbers or ideas I need to get back to down the road I can just pull the pile of them back out and flip through.

I have multiple random notebooks, post-it notes, napkins and other debris that I use to jot stuff onto. In most cases, I have no idea what I wrote down or why. Sometimes it's nothing more than a font face, size, and color. Other times it's an entire idea. But still, I don't know which project any of it goes to. My desk is a disaster.

I like those yellow lined newspaper pads. Not the regular paper, has to be the pulpy stuff that the ink really sinks into :)

I have about 2 or 3 of them on the go all the time and just curl the important pages back as I go and toss the rest. That way I can always flip back to anything I need.

The notebook looks good though, I might try that!

NY Jester 2009-01-27 09:15 AM

Yeah Ive got a collection of notebooks ranging from mini assignment notepads to 5 subject jumbo notebooks. I cross off as I go, rewrite as the list gets smaller and add to it. IT NEVER ENDS!

balls_deep 2009-01-27 10:14 AM

Im a big fan of hard copies. I keep a notebook updated with every username and password i have as well as a notebook for well... notes.

Greenguy 2009-01-27 12:00 PM

I just made my 2 lists a bit more tidy at the beginning of the year. My desk is also a cluttered mess.

Well, at least you have a design concept for the idea - now just go thru & find other notes to add to it, like the one on financing a general idea - or the one on a script that might help everyone. Soon you'll have Web 3.0 sitting in your hard drive |thumb

I made this post because it was time to redo the list. Here's the new and improved version I probably won't get done anytime soon.

Yes I know my writing is terrible. My thumb looks good though.

Where does one order todo lists with so few items? :)

NY Jester 2009-01-27 02:16 PM

^^^
You have to pre-order those. But they are in such high demand it could be up to a 6 month wait.

DangerDave 2009-01-27 04:50 PM

I have a pile of those dating back to 1997....
.. and still unfinished

Pagan 2009-01-27 07:10 PM

ooooh, HW. I can *read* your new one. I still can't read my own. I need a gibberish translator, I guess. I find I still reach for Notepad at work and let my fingers type the stuff out. Not only do I have a hope of reading it later, my fingers are faster than my hand. OneNote? nope. not for me. Plain and simple. Now if I could find all of my notes and stuff, I could stick them on my whiteboard. That might be a plan!

Twiceshy 2009-01-28 06:49 AM

I have one or umm 3 of them "To Do Lists" i love the dollar store i buy in bulk as i update my lists and i always keep a hardcopy of logins and pass stuff for servers/sponsors and so forth i keep a copy of that in my safe ( fire proof) . I would in this day of computers be lost with out pen and paper :)

Good lord you wake up at 6 and work 8-5? (I can't read the 5:30 -9:30... 'Bunt'?) I'm always trying to work less and make more lol.

But i do keep my schedule separate from my todo list... that's the stuff I work on after the daily grind is done.
