First time submitter

Hello!
A good start for me, first day posting on this board and i have the same post in two threads (sorry)

I have a couple of freesites i want to submit but i remember a thread here about whois and privacy but i dont remember how i did when i bought my domain, i have tried to recall my password with my domain provider but a have not been successful yet,
If any of those linklistīs owners are here iīm happy to give you all the info you need in a PM, and if there are any trusted Sweds here i gladly share my cellphone number if anybody want to check me out until i get the whois thing solved

So, if you would take a look at this and tell me if there is something wrong with the freesites or the submitter (me), the freesites should be alright, i bought them from Sy and i am going to continue with that until i can build my own

Did you have CrazySy build those? They look great.

You appear to be using a WHOIS protection service to keep your identity and home address hidden. No one blames you, but some link lists won't list you due to that.

gnarpen 2009-07-30 01:06 PM

Yep, i bought them from CrazySy, i am dumber than a donkey when it comes to computers and softwares so it is going to take a while for me before i can build my own. With a lot of patience and help from Rowdy (ANS) i made my first gallery last weekend.
take a look and you understand why i buy my freesites:

http://www.amazingcracks.com/hardcra...Lee/index.html |scared|

I solved the whois thing today, the updating of my account may take up to 48 hours
I did not know about the importance of the whois when i got the choice to go privat

dif0r 2009-07-30 04:16 PM

There is nothing wrong with that site :) Make them simple and by the rules that's the key.

It seems to be more of a tgp3 gallery than anything else.

You buy your freesites because you make galleries. CrazySy was a good bet. |thumb

Pagan 2009-07-30 07:41 PM

Nice work, gnarpen!! Rowdy is good folk and will help you so much. Of course, the people here are no slouches either.

Just remember -- a freesite is 2 galleries (or 3 maybe) with a warning page and a nice little menu page. You get more places to promote the site, and show off your writing skills.

Hoping that |spam| could work hand in hand with you in the future.

It's called link spam.

gnarpen 2009-08-01 07:52 AM

I manage to get rid of the Whois protection yesterday,
is there anything else to think about BEFORE i start submitting?
what is this "trusted submitter" i come across in some places? how do i become "trusted"?
and another thing, how do you keep track of where and when you submit? what template and content you used and such?

I did submit one of the freesites to one place before got aware of the whois problem, i did not get any rejection mail but i looked at the stats and it says 3 uniques so i donīt think it was listed, it would be interesting to know if there was a problem i can correct for future submitting.
the linklist is FreeSiteXXX, do you know where i can find the owner?

Here you go:

http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...sted+submitter

It's allows submitters to use less restrictive rules, and several list have added this option. I don't know if it's a good option for a new submitter...at any rate, check out this thread to see who's accepting these type of sites:

Thanx!

And that would be my next question, how do i get trusted when i live in another part of the world and nobody knows me and will probably never do?

dif0r 2009-08-01 10:09 AM

Start submitting some quality sites that follow the basic rules so that your nickname will get known by the reviewers and then after some time apply for a trusted submitter account...

+hang around on GG&J's board|thumb

gnarpen 2009-08-01 10:41 AM

Thank you, that sounds reasonable
and i will try to hang around as much as i can because i need to improve my english before i start building my own freesites, cant have pages filled with misspellings and bad grammar :)

You can build up trust and get to know people on this board. It doesn't matter where you live...I've never met anyone here in person but have a good relationship with lots of people here.

Your sites look good, but It's hard to get people to do a full pre-review before you submit. If I were you, I would go ahead and start submitting to several sites so you can get some full reviews...and if you get rejected you can find out why here. Link-O-Rama and others have a thread for that purpose. Good luck!

Pagan 2009-08-01 10:01 PM

We did a "Pay It Forward" post last December, and I volunteered to help with English for the non-English speaking site builders. That offer is still open if you (or any others wish). I won't be able to respond in Swedish, but I can and will certainly help correct any typos or syntax errors I do see. No strings... these guys have helped me a lot and it is one little thing I can do to repay them.

gnarpen 2009-08-02 05:03 AM

Thank You Again Pagan!!!
As a newbie on this board those "Pay It Forward" threads are priceless|thumb
it helps me figure out who to turn to with specific thoughts when i know who is good at different things.
I would appreciate a thread where all you skilled old farts tell us newbies what you are good at, iīm not looking for free favours|kissass| just who to turn to|huh

Pagan 2009-08-02 10:39 AM

Hehehe.. that is the one good thing about this board - you don't need a list. Just post your questions and you will get a number of skilled responses. In a very short time you will learn to turn to by the type of answers they give. Other boards, maybe, but this is very much a board of working webmasters, both builders and link list owners. (Your respondents in this thread have been link list owners with 1 exception, and most of them do also build sites.)

If you really crave a list though, the 2nd Annual Pay it Forward thread will be a big help as we offered assistance in areas we felt we could.

Looks like a TGP3 to me as well, luckily there are places to submit money making designs like that ;)
http://www.sleazepleaze.com
Among others.

Thank you guys!
But i built that because i needed to learn about the tech.stuff, like file management, ftp, linking and such, i have never done this things before (iīm an old potter for God's sake!) so i built it for my self as a learning project and i made it as i wanted such pages to look like when i was a surfer hunting for a new paysite to join.

I have never heard of TGP3 so i tried your link and visited "sleazepleaze" and if you think my simple gallery fitīs in that place i will try to submit it later today
