Which forums/shows are you attending this year?

I'll be going to the MAG thing Surfn & DrBizzaro are putting together in May as well as Miami in August.

I wish I had time to attend more :(

I'lll be in San Diego in June and Miami in August

Looks like I'll be hitting the MAG thing in Chicago and Miami in August of course. There's a small show in Montreal in July I'll probably go to, I'm under 2 hours away. And I'm considering the show in San Diego in June.

We usually have a marine layer the whole month of june so temps range from mid 60's to low 70's on the coast (you can drive inland 10 minutes be in the low 80's drive another 10 min and be in the low 90's).
Thinking that I might have to go to florida if I'm going to be able to put faces together with posters on this board

I'll be doing the Hollywood Internext this year, only live a few miles from it. I actually like this one more then any other that I've been to. I like the fact that the whole thing is inside one very nice hotel with a big outdoor pool side area. I'm a non smoker and felt poisoned after the first day of Vegas due to the smoke filled rooms.

Unless there is another one that I don't know about in the SE US then that is about it. I'm really not sure if I will even do the Vegas one again next year.

I'll be attending Chicago and I've decided to think about Florida. I'll make a decision on Florida within the week.

You really should come to it. The whole thing is inside A/C so unless you want to go outside you don't have to.

Cleo, I agree. The Miami show was extremely nice. A great hotel with an awesome setup with those pools outside. Worth a trip for those who have not attended the Miami shows before. That reminds me, I better book my room right now.

I lived in WPB for several years. I wouldn't want to leave the hotel in Miami.

Yo...I guess I will be going to this show this year eh Ramster? Maybe we should try to book a couple of rooms on the same floor or something...lol. You're bringing the wife again with ya right? Its a really nice hotel, and expensive. Do we get a discount off the regular room rates? How many rooms does this hotel have, and will all the rooms fill up? I've always been a big fan of Vegas. Are there alot of booths set up in the showroom...I'm sure its not like Vegas...although this year the Vegas show just seemed smaller than last.

I think this is my first post here though I have been a lerker for quite awhile.

We will be attending the Phoenix Forum, the San Diego show, maybe the Montreal show and definetly the Hollywood show.

The little shows are actually very productive so if you have a chance to go to one I would highly suggest you check them out.

I'm not bringing the wife to Miami. We have 2 kids so it's a nogo for her. We were fortuneate for Vegas to have her mother visit that week when she couldn't get the Christmas week off her work. :)

Best bet is to book a room soon. You can cancel rooms without any charges a few days before. Last year I waited too long and couldn't get a room and had to stay down the street. Only 6-7 min walk but when it's 90+degrees out, it sucks ass.

The Miami floor is smaller than Vegas but as we all know it's about the contacts you make.

Vegas is looking like in the middle of a BB tourney for the kids.

If I wasn't madly in love with my wife I think I'd follow Sammy to all the shows.

Instead I'll try for Chicago. If I can't look at Sammy then at least I can check out Dr. B with short hair. Florida is a big hopeful for me becasue last year it was cool and I'll try to make the next Vegas show.

I am a sight to behold, I must say.

Hi ya Sammy :) Glad to see ya here :) BTW I will be in Miami for sure :) And yes I am going to be looking for some boob hats :) Chicago is maybe for me at this point.

I'll be going to the Phoenix Forum next week (love that show!) and the San Diego Cybernet Expo (have high-hopes for that event - looks to be a good one)... but for the FIRST Internext/ia2000 since 1999 I will be boycotting the summer Florida show.

Why? Because after evaluating what I'd "gotten" out of attending the past few years in a row, the summer show just isn't worth the time and the $$$ to attend. I think it's just a matter of taste. I am starting to appreciate the mid-sized gatherings like Phoenix Forum and Cybernet over the mega-shows (although I am a Vegas freak so ya know I'll always go to that one) and dinky 100+ webmaster gatherings. Local 25-50 get-to-gethers are cool too... but I would only go to something like that if it was a drive-able distance.

On another board we were talking about how many shows we'd attended over the years - I've personally gone to over 23 that I could count/remember... I don't think that sitting *one* out will be too big a loss.

What's going on in Chicago? I haven't heard anything about that.

Hopefully I'll be in Phoenix, something just came up that threw a wrench in my spokes. I'll possibly go to the Atlanta show in May but I'm not sure yet, these next couple months are BUSY BUSY BUSY. Since I live in San Diego, of course I'll be at that show. Montreal in July would be great and it is on my "planning list". And of course Internext in August, count me in!
