Questions about Dee Cash Programs
 

So since I haven't been in the business that long I am not as familiar with Dee Cash as many of you all are. I see so many complaints about this group and I just had a few questions regarding this company. I've searched the forums, but I never really find a good solid answer to some of what I'm wondering.

The first thing I'm curious about is why everyone has a problem with them. I notice a lot of complaints about them buying programs and letting them go to shit. Is this the main problem with them?

The other thing I'm wondering is if they are a group to avoid doing business with than I want to know what other programs they bought out so I can be wary of promoting them. I saw they own Mayors Money which I used to promote, but I wasn't happy with it so I quit pushing it.

So basically what other programs do they run?

They started a new website mediarevenue . com and most of their programs are listed as 'partners'. Why don't they just say they are responsible for those sites?

Cross-sales is one of the many reasons people don't like them that much.

When I got started, Dee was in the process of buying up a lot of programs. So many of the programs I promoted early on are now owned by Dee. Probably the best thing to do to get an idea of how the relationship between Dee and webmasters has not been positive is to do a search on this board.

Of course things change...as of right now, things could be better, but I stopped promoting them some time ago to due non-coversion and a couple of other issues.

Yeah I was on last night when a spammer was on and posted in an old ass thread and I saw some complaints about their programs so when I saw they own Mayors Money I thought I would ask what else they run.

Ill give that site a look that faxxaff mentioned so thanks for the comments guys.

My primary issue with them is that they let their sites rot. They don't add new content, at least not to the sites that used to sell well for me. Nor do they provide webmasters with new promotional content, forcing a person to resuse old old old content, or to try to sell with third party content.

However, they have also been accused of card-banging and other shady practices. Is that true? I do not know. Could be it's mot banging its all just well-concealed cross-selling.

But, logic suggests, if you are going to buy a ton of aging sites, and then not refresh the content, your business model is not based on retention.

Its too bad they purchased alot of these programs - in the past I did very well with alot of them and as soon as DEE bought them the conversions turned to crap :(

Good note, but are you really sure they're not giving some fresh content to their members (as far as I know they're paying decent $ for sign up)?

No, not sure. But, the tours don't change, the available promo content doesn't change, on the half dozen programs I used to sell.

So, maybe they are updating inside the sites.

No, wait, there are two at east where I have ID/pass to go inside, and I have, looking fo rnew content to use for promotion. The members area was exactly the same as it was two years ago.

So at least two I KNOW have not updated inside the members area since the sale.

And I have checked the old extremepaychecks affiliate areas a number of times since the sale, and movieprofuts too as I recall, tho not as regularly, and they were dead inside the affiliate areas.

I used ot make a lot of money off extreme paychecks and decent money off movieprofits, so I wanted them to continue and grow.

On the plus side, I do still see signups from my old links that go to dee sites, and have gotten paid for those sales.

In the past, Traffic Cash Gold would add a new scene almost every day (5-6 per week). They were my best sponsor for years. Dee took over around Nov/Dec 2010. So far this year, they've only added 6 scenes for the entire network.

Check out the tour pages for Movie Profits sites like Teen DVD Club. All the dates are 2007-2009. My conversion ratio at Movie Profits plummeted last year. Why would anyone join if the site hasn't been updated in years?

On a positive note, I've never had a problem getting paid from Dee. And their affiliate reps are very nice, always answer my emails and help me with anything I need. Which is more than I can say for some other programs.

LOL, it might be a shorter list if you had sponsors NOT owned by DeeCash.

Hmm, this all seems like an easy click machine. It would be definitely better to say exactly what product I actually selling instead of pathetic marketing bullshit...

I'd say chances are those episodes were already in the can when they bought TCG - so they added episodes that they bought in the deal, and may not be making new.

I have no reason to think that, no evidence.

And like you say, movie profits tours are dead.

Lol, as dead as the DVD model of paysite - so we can't necessarily blame dee for that.

I think future paysites will be based on the story model - much more expensive to shoot tho.

If DEE would combine all the money we earn from ALL those affiliate sites it wouldn't be so bad - ONE cheque and you would only need a sale from each to make minimum. As it stands now most of those programs owe me money but I am struggling making the minimums this year since sales have dropped. So they have lots of my money which I will never see because I just don't actively promote most of them now.

Each program pays you separately :(

That would be nice. Despite the bad ratios, I'd probably promote their sites more frequently if they combined payments. Unfortunately they don't. And I think they've raised the minimum at every site to $200.

In the past, I would get weekly checks from Traffic Cash Gold. They'd pay out even if you had just one sale. That was nice. And it made me want to promote them even more.

Same with me. I contacted them to see if I can just get 1 check to cover all the balances from all the different programs that I push for them. (Some of which have been sitting on balances for 3 or 4 years)

When I originally contacted them, Nick said “We always pay buddy “ and " I will try to work something out for you ".

Then I got pushed to someone else, who tells me that she is looking into it. Then always promises to get back to me in 24 hours.
Of course I never hear from her, until I email again in a few weeks to see what is going on with it. It's been going on like this for 5 months now.
It’s all a crock. Just send me the money that you OWE me.

On the flip side I’ve contacted over 30 other affiliates and they were very cool about sending me my money.
Dee Cash just happens to represent 17 other accounts and about ¼ of the money still owed to me.

I have been working with these people for more than 5 years and have never known one person that sends good traffic to not be paid or anything resembling it. Fraud joins, by no means are paid for, but good joins always are.

We also just implemented weekly payouts with only a 15 day hold and will be working our way to 4 day holds and lower minimums as the next month progresses. We realized $200 minimums and 30 day holds were tough, so we are working our way towards a fix for you all on that.

Here is our calendar of events for this:

June 15th , all future periods became 7 day periods ( Monday -> Sunday ) , still paid with a 30 day hold - DONE
Jun 30th , payouts dumped after that day , paid with a 15 day hold - DONE
July 15th, payouts dumped after that day , paid with a 7 day hold
July 30th , payouts dumped after that day, paid with a 4 day hold ( Monday -> Sunday , paid Thursday )

As far as ratios go, we are all about your ratios, because obviously that helps us in the long haul as well as you. Should you have ratio issues, please contact one of us and let us help you with this, that's what we are here for. Our ratios have been doing a great deal better and are picking up more all the time. But please, communicate with us, we can't know you are having issues unless you communicate with us about what issues you are having.

We've proven time and time again that we do listen, but as with any relationship, communication is key!

Hi Tam, is there any possibility that Dee will ever combine the sites and our payments so we can manage everything from one account?

I used to promote ragecash heavily but since 2008 after sending 37060 unique's I have made a paltry $230 and my last sale was back in 09. That's a good example of why I don't promote you anywhere near as much as I used to. It would also help if you actually put content back on the ragecash site. Nothing has been available since Dee took it over.

We do combine payouts, although the minimum payout still needs to be met per program.. please bare with us as this will be solved and cleaned up very soon!

Rest your mind assured that we are working hard on:
- Lowering Minimum Payouts
- Lowering holding times on payouts

The minimum payouts are a result of an intense amount of fraudulent webmasters hitting programs since late 2009 and ongoing...

Currently we still get 100-200 fraud webmasters applying to our programs..

Now, affiliate programs are still in great shape... the reason why a lot of programs went belly up is because they:
- Paid out on fraud
- Got hit by chargebacks

Imagine programX did 100 fraud joins a day for 2 weeks and paid out

100x14=1400x35$PPS = - 49,000$
Than, get hit by chargebacks (cost 40$)
100x14=1400x40 = - 56000$ making the total of - 105,000$ = out of business..

We already accomplished:
- Weekly payouts
- Moved from 30-day hold to 15-day hold

About ragecash.com
- The top converting sites from 2009 lost processing due to competition messing with the niches..
- We noticed a big market in GF sites and added them to the program which are currently converting extremely well

Some sites are just not worth updating with exclusive scenes based on the amount of fresh daily joins coming in...

Yet, if a new member signs up to any site we give them access to a membersarea with 40-50+ exclusive sites

Based on your traffic/sites I will be able to recommend you either to use PPS or revshare on any of our products

At the end of the day I want affiliates to make more money this way we will be able to gain more of your business & long term relationships

Hey Nick and Tam. Glad to see you guys here. As I said, the Dee reps are always nice and helpful. It's good to see sponsors that take an interest in affiliate opinions.

As others have mentioned, I'd love to see Dee combine payments. Maybe a simple backend where all the individual program stats are listed and one check is issued for the entire Dee network. Kinda like how CCBill handles things.

I have sales lingering at a couple Dee programs. Two or three, here and there. But not enough to generate a check at those sites. And that's frustrating. I would promote Dee sites more frequently, and try promoting new sites, if I knew every single sale would be combined so I could get paid.

I also think it would help if some of the tours were tweaked. I'm not talking about a total re-design. But some of the tours (like Movie Profits) have dates on them. And potential customers can see that the sites haven't been updated in a long time. Maybe you could remove the dates and move things around once or twice a month so it seems fresh.

Anyways, happy to see you here opening a dialogue with affiliates.

Let's say I have a couple sales at Traffic Cash Gold ($75), Movie Profits ($90) and TripleXCash ($60). But it's not enough at any program to make minimum. Can I combine the sales at those Dee sponsors and get a check ($225 total)?

That's what I'm talking about. If you get that set-up, I'd be very eager to promote more Dee sites.
