How do I get in touch with Jay's XXX, JK, & Cleo?

I was just wondering, if anyone knew of a way to get in touch with Jay, JK & Cleo?

Since I had been in touch with XPorn & GG this week, I've cleaned up my act, and they've given me 2nd chances.

Can anyone help?

http://pornrex.com

Cleo 2004-04-17 06:56 PM

I see this site of yours
http://pornrex.com/amateurbangers/am...gers-nudepics/

It has misleading mouseovers and I seem to remember it was getting sites like this from you that was one of the reasons that I put you there.

I know that there had to be other reasons as well but this is the only one that I really remember. In what way have you "cleaned up your act?"

yorgo 2004-04-17 07:33 PM

I thought by removing the blind/misleading links (XPorn told me where my problem was) I would not have anymore issues. The only other "issue" major LL owners might have according to GG was the mouseover bit, but he said he would excuse it, because he felt it was that big of an issue.

What do you think?
|waves|

Cleo 2004-04-17 08:03 PM

Adding enter.html to what your mouseover says, especially on the warning page, will get you declined at my link list.

I don't add someone to my ban list for this unless they keep on submitting with the same problems.

What is up with adding all those unlinked domain names to your pages?

yorgo 2004-04-17 08:11 PM

Okay - the "enter.html" will be removed, henceforth.

With respect to using the title (ie. HotAmateurFucking.com) to get the surfers to enter my sites, I thought I was just being clever, and in no way was this action done to get myself blacklisted!!).

I will make the neccessary changes but, what can I do to rectify this part of the submission, to get the surfers to see the galleries?

Cleo 2004-04-17 08:25 PM

I don't see how putting a bunch of unlinked domain names is going to help you and is only going to make link lists owners wonder what is going on.

Putting some relevant juicy text in a compete sentence probably will, but it should make sense. If it gets the surfer excited then it should help with sales too.

On your warning page only one thing should say enter and that should be the real enter link. If you use a counter put it way down on the page and to the left so no one notices it.

As far as getting the surfers to your galleries just putting links that say sample free galleries is plenty. Really you want to get them to your ads and not so much your galleries anyway. ;)

But to get listed you do need to build a nice site without blind or misleading links with galleries that are not hard to find.

Build sites that you would want to surf and you should be fine. Always remember that good sales text is what will get you sales, not blind or misleading links. Use a lot of text and just small fast loading images in your ads. No one likes to be tricked, but an excited surfer will pull out their plastic.

I've taken you off my ban list. Please don't make me add you to it again. :)

Surfn 2004-04-17 08:27 PM

You need to do what Cleo said, plus you have to remove pornrex.com from the gallery pages before I'll list it.

Cleo 2004-04-17 08:36 PM

I noticed that you are using your ISP's e-mail @rogers.com on the board. Just a heads up that I have all e-mails using rogers.com banned.

Also what Surfn said about pornrex.com on your gallery pages. I can't speak for Surfn, but if you said something like Click Here for more free porn and linked that to your list then it would be ok with me.

yorgo 2004-04-17 08:55 PM

Thanks alot, Cleo. You've given me plenty of good information to digest tonight.

As far as the rogers.com thing for emails, what would you recommend?

I've tried submitting sites using postmaster@pornrex.com, but sometimes they don't get sent.

P.S. Thanks for your help too, Surfn.
|waves|

Cleo 2004-04-17 09:02 PM

Using your @pornrex.com domain is the correct thing to use. In fact you should always use a domain that you own and not your ISP's e-mail. This way if you change ISPs it doesn't affect your business.

The rogers thing has nothing to do with you. It is because of all the spamming cheating low life fucks that seem to love using that ISP's e-mail service. I got so sick of it that I did a wildcard ban of their e-mail. :(

yorgo 2004-04-17 09:10 PM

I've tried, believe you me to send my submissions through my @pornrex.com.

Sometimes, I'm guessing now because I was probably banned for the blind/misleading links that they don't get through.

My host is choopa. I've tried configuring my email through them to send my submissions, but, sometimes they go through, and sometimes they don't.

I'm assuming its the luck of the draw, but then again, I've learned quickly its better NOT to assume so much.

As far as spamming is concerned, believe you me, I am more interested in building relationships w/LL owners than getting on their respective bad sides.

Cleo, what can I do to get in touch w/Jay and JK? They've requested from me in the past that they want their recips included with the tommy's, the penisbots, the Cleo's etc.

I don't mind obliging. Do you have any suggestions?

Cleo 2004-04-17 09:19 PM

They both stop by this board, Jay more often, but not ever day so it may take a bit. Other then that you can try dropping them an e-mail.

You have posted on this board and that is probably one of the best thing that you can do. :)

Ramster 2004-04-17 09:32 PM

I use @rogers.com as my submit email.

I never understood the reasoning behind banning whole ISP emails. There are 13 million people in Ontario and Rogers is one of the major internet cable providers.
Just me 2 cents on that as I've seen this at other sites as well.

yorgo 2004-04-17 10:25 PM

Hey Ramster!

I just spent a few minutes going through your site. Very nice indeed!
|bow|

I don't think I've ever submitted to you, but I will defintely make room for you for my next submission, if that's ok with you!

Thanks! And sure, no problem.

Wazza 2004-04-18 12:44 AM

You'll be staying banned at JK's

yorgo 2004-04-18 02:52 AM

Wazza,

Can you at least tell me why?

|sad|

yorgo 2004-04-18 03:28 AM

Can anyone tell me what I did to piss off Wazza?

|goodnight

Ok I'll take @rogers.com off my ban list, but if I start getting slammed with assholes using it again it is going back.

I still think people should use their domain name and not the address that they get from their ISP.

yorgo 2004-04-18 03:29 PM

I guess Wazza isn't man/woman enough to respond to simple question like that.

Someday, the shoe will be on the other foot, Wazza. And since you chose not to respond to a simple little request to me, I hope that when it happens to you, it happens GOOD.

If anyone knows of how I can get in touch with DD, let me know!

Maybe you should just give a day or two for a response. But it still comes down to:

"My list , My Rules"

yorgo 2004-04-18 04:54 PM

Vangend,

Maybe your right. But I think alot of these guys forgot what its like to be a newbie and they NEVER made a mistake.

Puh-leez...

Cleo 2004-04-18 04:56 PM

I still make mistakes and fuckups…

Getting spammed from someone opening numerous isp accounts is a good reason. Somebody must be pissing people off because @rogers.com is banned at some TGPs as well.

Another issue is banning the entire nameserver of a host. I remember when ProHosters nameservers were banned at many places. WTF? Banning the nameserver of a host? Well I just picked up a server at ExtremeRack and one TGP I submit to has their nameservers banned. Jesus there's honest people hosted there too. |angry|

Cleo
From day one I used my ISP email because as a submitter I never really owned any sites like I do now. I am heavily considering a change to my webmaster email though. I use it for some sites when submitting and it would help in recoginition too I think.

DangerDave 2004-04-18 05:25 PM

Yorgo,

This sort of bullshit will make you no friends!

A mistake is one thing. A series of mistakes that take on the look of cheating is another.

yorgo 2004-04-18 05:34 PM

DD,

I had no idea people would be so sensitive. I wasn't trying to create enemies. Just having a little fun! |waves|

Besides, Wazza never responded to my requested to find out what it was that I did that was so terrible.

Tell you what...if YOU think I am so terrible, keep me banned.
What can I do?

GG was extremely helpful. |waves|
Cleo was exceptionally helpful as well, and I know I pissed her off more than once - the difference is she GAVE me another chance. And I appreciate it. |bow|

I was told these message boards were designed for US newbies. We are at times gonna step outta line, without knowing or even thinking, simply for being new.

DD, I apologize to Wazza, but Wazza has only been cruel to me. Being like that to someone, without explanation, is rather heartless in my opinion.

Hmmm, now we have two threads in one…

Yeah banning name servers can really suck. My hosts name servers got banned. I bitched at my host, they kicked off the bad accounts and got their name servers unbanned so maybe it isn't such a bad thing. Actually if my script able I could think of a few name servers that I would ban.

The problem with @rogers.com is the same problem that is with anything free, yes I do realize that you are paying for your ISP, is that people don't take responsibility for their actions thinking it isn't their domain on the line so they feel free to do abuse using it.

As far as the fact that you are still using your ISPs e-mail even after you are an established webmaster is you are creating a weak link in your business communication. What if you move and have to change ISPs or just decide to switch ISPs for whatever reason? Or because of idiots using your ISP's free account it gets banned at places, like it already has?

To be honest the only reason I removed @rogers.com is because I've met you and your your wife in person so I feel bad banning something that you use, but if next week I get a thousand crap submits from webmasters using @rogers.com I will have to add it back in no matter how much I like you and your wife.

For what it is worth I went from using my free @bellsouth.net e-mail to using my domains in the late nineties and now as I'm looking at switching to a cable modem which is about three times faster and half the price of my bellsouth DSL I'm really glad that I did as it is giving me the freedom to switch.

yorgo 2004-04-18 05:48 PM

Hey Surfn,

Tell you what. I'm in the process of submitting my next site. Every suggestion made by Cleo, GG and yourself, have been incorporated into this site.

I did the best I could as far as editing is concerned. I've taken every iota of wisdom that all of you have given me and have applied it to my latest creation.

Check for it in your mailbox!

P.S. I was advised about 4.5 months ago from another seasoned webmaster that mouse overs were okay, even to the extent that I took it to.

I am not a cheater by nature. I am a |newbie| !!

That posts that I was involved in yesterday with Cleo, cleared up a lot of questions, and cleaned up my submissions.

And finally...I wasn't trying to abrasive...just trying to illicit a response. Sorry for ruffliing feathers.|waves|

If you submit to my LL then it would be in my Admin not my email. Also, I do NOT mind mouseovers done correctly.

yorgo 2004-04-18 05:57 PM

What would be a correct mouseover?

If you need to ask you shouldn't use them. Cleo has a link to her resource page that shows the correct method. Plus if you did a search on your favorite SE you will find tons of examples and explanations on their proper usage. :)

DangerDave 2004-04-18 06:05 PM

Yorgo,

The only person I see being "sensitive" here is you..

In order to get listed on "our" Linklists, you need to listen to us, and take on the information we give you. We don't blacklist people out of spite, and most of us have specific reasons for doing it if we do.

If you ask a question you need to give the webmaster at least a few days to respond. You are one webmaster of 1000's. We are one of a few LL owners.

Do no blame US if your site does not get listed, look at your site, and listen to what you are told, and apply that information to your site.
