Looks like there's still a few bugs - I just went to add my bank account & kept getting this error:
"Error occurred at Wed Jun 02 16:52:56 PDT 2004. No further information is available. Please contact Cardholder Service for more information at cs@epassporte.com. Please include the time listed above and any information about what you were trying to do. " I sent in an email, so we'll see what happens :) |

So near, yet so far. Any idea when international tramsfers will be available? Remember the UK? Guys who fight every war with you? :) It's a real bitch, trying to withdraw 2.5 mil, 500 bucks a time . . . :( |
Looks like ePassporte is yet another comapny that thinks that, beside the US, there is no civilization on this planet :(
In the coming days I will order their physical card. As I am from Europe I wonder ... would it be made of stone? |
Kristian - Don't moan about the lack of international support, it gives us an advantage over the US. Remember less than 50% of revenue comes from the US, and companies without international support are loosing half their profit. SO ARE COMPANIES THAT USE THEM . But webmasters who live in the US usually do not realize this, particularly as they experience no problems themselves. However those of us who live outside the US experience the problems first hand and they either prevent us from using the service outright or at least give us a warning. Although it is tempting to assume that US webmasters are smart enough to not use companies without international support, we all do stupid things without thinking, however clever we are. But you and I cannot make that mistake because we do not live in the US. This means that we should be making twice as much money as we would if we were Americans.
So stop complaining, and next time you are in America pop over to Boston for a celebratory cup of tea. |
Tell me Rand, is there a limit as to the amount we can transfer to our bank accounts daily? :)

Now guys and gals dont make me depressed will ya, i am setting my sponsors to epassporte because i am paying my ass of on cost for checks, i am waiting for my plastic card to pull the money from atm, i am from holland and the cost of checks is driving me nuts and my bank cost too btw:D so i hope the epassporte thing will be a advantage for me, ( still to be sure i am not setting all my sponsors yet to epassporte, first i wait for my card and test it|violin| )

Of course the folks at Epassporte want to include the whole world. Otherwise, integration with Swift and IBAN are not impossible but difficult. Epassporte is working to integrate as many countries as possible but at this time there is no date given for international transfers. My guess, however, is that Canada and/or the UK will be among the first to be linked to the Epassporte system. Foreign affiliates can still withdraw their funds from ATM's (which sure beats waiting on those checks and the fees that apply) or spend their money using the Electron Card or the Virtual account. |

I don't get it. I applied to E-passporte since ARS no longer pays on paypal. Got approved. Now I can't get transfer the money to my (dutch)bankaccount, only to another E-cardholder?

You can also shop online with your Virtual account, or, you can use the Electron card to withdraw money from any ATM on the Visa or Plus system. |

So I input all my info. Get my 2 deposits into my account.
I log back into the website to verify them. The site tells me I have the wrong amounts. I try again and it tells me the same thing, only this time. I am locked out and I have to call. After getting a sales rep that barely speaks English and spending 10 minutes giving her my username, I explained what I was trying to do. She then proceeds to tell me that I have to call my bank, to load my card. ??? After another 10 minutes of explaining again what I was looking to do, she put me on hold for 5 minutes. Then she came back on and told me that that it was a mistake and they don't offer this feature. They will in the future, but not now. "Soon", she told me. "This is just for demo only". I asked why a rep was telling me that it was functional and that I could sign up and she told me that he shoulndt have said that and it was a mistake. Seems odd that the site wouldn't SAY, "THIS IS A DEMO". And why would they make the deposits into my account if t were just a demo? WTF? Has anyone else been able to activate this? Should I call back or will that be another waste of 25 minutes? |
DrB - I gave up after it told me I put the wrong amounts in & that I was locked out. I'm sorta glad I didn't waste my time :D

It sounds as though your call went to a rep that may not have been updated regarding the new ACH capabilities. The ACH load and withdraw feature is functional and working. It is not a demo. It is, however, a special promotion (at this time) being offered solely in the adult space where ePassportes features are being developed based on this markets specific needs. I signed up myself, received the 2 credits into my bank account, and verified without any problem. My bank account is now linked to ePassporte and I can load my ePassporte account from my bank account or move money from ePassporte to my bank account. We have tested the verification process extensively and have not been able to recreate the problem you experienced. I recommend that you try again and if you experience the same problem please contact me directly so we can have the logs checked and see what specifically is happening that is causing your verification to fail. |
How long does it take before the deposits go into your bank? I filled out the form two days ago and still havent seen any deposits to my bank account to verify. ( I do have the verify Now logo in my account however)

I just emailed cs@epassporte.com via the ePassporte email area (cause I learned the hard way they don't talk to you about your account unless you email them from their email - see my post above - LOL) so let's see if we can get this resolved :)

Let me state that at this point it’s not fully clear to me if this is good for transferring funds to a third party account in order to fulfill payments, and if with this form of payment (that third party that receives our payment by this feature) will be totally confident that we WOULD NOT be able to dispose of the funds in their account (due that their bank account is linked to our Epassporte account). To put it more clear, that this third party (and us) could be totally confident that we just would be able to send money to their account, but not to make use of the funds in their linked bank account. Just To update everyone I got the deposits today. went and verified and am making my first transfer now. It seems to have gone through without a hitch. Off course I cant be 100% sure untill I see the money in my bank account.
Dr Bizzario To transfer funds to your bank you click the link that says "withdraw" on the top menu bar. That takes you to the page where you can do the transfer. |

I don't know if it's a comedy of errors, a contest to see how many hoops they can make me jump thru or just plain old crappy customer support.
After reading DrB's post about his phone call to the ePassporte customer support line & seeing as they stated that I had to email or call them, I choose email. The email I sent is posted above. 30 hours later I get this reply: Dear Cardholder, If you would like another verification attempt, please call our Cardholder Services Center at any of the numbers listed below for further assistance. Thank you for using ePassporte. Regards, Jon ePassporte Cardholder Services cs@epassporte.com Toll-Free from US: 1-877-388-1332 International and US: 1-310-301-2001 This is twice that I've been told by the error notices on their website to contact cs@epassporte.com & each time I do, I'm told that's not how I'm supposed to do it |banghead| Anyone wanna bet the customer support rep I call tomorrow has no clue what I'm talking about? :D |
Well, I guess sometimes things work themselves out.
Since I had a lot of free time yesterday, I decided to call ePassporte to get my problem cleared up. I decided to log into my account, since I assumed they'd be asking me questions on it & I wanted to have the info in front of me. Well, I went to the area for my bank & much to my surprise, it was approved & active - LOL I guess the next thing would be to try & transfer money :D |

will try to tranfer money 11 days ago and still have not got it yet call customer service and the guy told me that he cant anwser my question and put me on hold and come back in said that they dont have that option to withdraw to a checking account and dont know were my money is anyone else having the problem |angry|
