Tuesday November 21st (aka Smooth Sailing)
 

Morning.

The dog and cats are fed and I am sitting here having a |coffee .

Looking at my calendar, I have nothing planned so it's smooth sailing. Hopefully tonight I will get back to some adult work as I watch some TV I've recorded.

I am looking forward to the Grey Cup this weekend as I've been following it a bit this year. (For Pagan and Jolly, that's the Canadian Football League's championship game in which my home team is playing.)

Today it's work, picking up the ASSIL from work, going to the chiro, and then more work.

Usual day planned here, work work work. Trying to finish up some projects while also getting going on other work and preparing things. Will definitely need more |coffee :D

Been busy as family is showing up. Cleaning up the place and I've been setting up Xmas decorations and such. Front of the house has all the poinsettia and lighted tree in place and the tree indoors is up. Yes, I know it's early but with what my wife is going thru a little cheer seems to help. Plus, with her second phase of chemo starting in early December we probably will not be traveling for those holidays so this way it feels as if we are with family during it all. We even had a couple family members show up yesterday just to give hugs and chat with the wife as they are continuing on to another location.

Trying to preschedule stuff this morning before we finish up shopping and house set up before people arrive tomorrow. Plus we have our group meetings tonight, which I could really skip as I'm behind on everything but she wants to go, so...

Thanks for the explanation Art. We do get a fair amount of the hockey news from Canada and the US only because of the Finnish players. Hope your team does well!!

See, now, it isn't really too early for Christmas. Pikkujoulu (Little Christmas) is already starting in a lot of places over the next week. We see a lot of lights up and in the windows already locally. Here's a neat link to the lights in Helsinki. It's not that elaborate here, but it has already begun. We won't do our Christmas lights on the house until next year. In the US, yes it is early but our days are already dark and cold. The lights do help lift the spirits.
