Had some friends over last night for the final episode of Battlestar Galactica so didn't get to sleep until late. I should be still sleeping but rainstorms from hell woke us up this morning.

Just a day of work and errands planned for this very wet day.

Tekster 2009-03-21 09:05 AM

Good Morning, some errands to run, a hair cut and who knows what else the wife has planned for.

Ramster 2009-03-21 09:50 AM

Good Morning.

Wife and daughter are home. Work today for me. Gave my tickets away to the hockey game tonight (Sens should beat the Islanders) to a friend as we have some old friends coming by for dinner and drinks.

Good Morning Every one. Well I was shock with last night Final BSG. Talk about a ending with twist. Starbuck a angel! The whole fleet as the reason we are on earth. Gaius and Capica some kind of beings from god. I am going to have to watch it again.

The Devil in the red dress...

I was pleasantly surprised by the ending and thought it was excellent except the whole leaving technology behind was a bit hard to accept. I wonder how they are are doing in a few months with no booze, toilet paper, antibiotics, running water, or any of the things we crave after a couple of days camping.

I wonder if there we be a spinoff of the Cylons coming to visit modern earth to say hi to the artificial life that we will probably create in the coming years?

After 24 hours of internet hell I'm back! |bananna| Now I get to get to work slamming up ebay auctions, and on a big project I got handed by a client to make some extra $$$. I'm so happy I have internet, just wish I was more awake after not sleeping last night to enjoy it.

Have a good one all!|waves|

I fell asleep Thursday night watching the NCAA games as there were all boring, but hell, last night's games were awesome. I knew Cleveland St was gonna give Wake a run for their money since I know they beat Butler twice this year, but they handed them their asses. Ohio St/ Sienna 2OTs and then Wisconsin winning in OT. Didnt even bother filling out any brackets this year since I didnt pay attention to college basketball this year due to my Hoosiers sucking big fat donkey dick, but I still cant pull myself away from the Madness, haha.

My duties as a softball coach are now going 100% as the weather has warmed up enough to be practicing regularly now. Geez, I have some pretty big expectations this year, haha. Last year was the first year I coached and the first year after 5 years we actually finished with a winning record, so now what does the team expect?? Nothing short of winning our division and moving up to a higher division for next year, haha. The top 4 teams from last year all tied for 1st and they made all 4 teams move up, so that leaves the top 3 teams returning from last year us and 2 other teams, and we all finished with the same record, and one of those teams split up (all their good players got pissed at the coach and started a new team in another division) which means only the coach and a handful of players are the same, which probably means they are gonna be a last place team. So with the exception of that 1 team, we dominated all the returning teams from last year. So pressure is higher than ever to win at all costs. I like to win, but I mainly play and coach to have fun...... BUT I agreed with half the team (the half that wants to win at all costs) that I would coach to win it all this year. They all got together and agreed they still wanted me to coach, but only if I would coach to win, if I didnt want to go that route I could play with them and one of them would coach to win, but they wanted to get a bunch of new players which would have split the team up, and since I like all the guys, I am trying to walk the line of winning, but still having fun. And another thing to keep in mind here is that the other half of the team that just wants to play for fun is my wife's family and my best friend, so it makes things even more stressful, haha. So far all I've done is not ask back the bench players. and replaced 1 or maybe 2 starters. So we have at least 1 new starter and a whole new bench. Hopefully it'll be enough since it seems the level of competition has seemingly dropped off quite a bit.

Hahaha, you guys are probably wondering why the fuck I'm going on and on about softball on here, but I needed to vent some stress, hahaha. I started playing because it makes me feel like a kid again and when I was growing up playing baseball is what I lived for. When I started playing softball the last thing I ever dreamed of happening was becoming coach and having all this added stress, haha. But for some unknown reason the guys really like me and respect my knowledge of the game and I ended up being nominated as coach last year. Now the burden all falls on me to keep the team together and keep 14-16 guys all happy.

Actually I was expecting the Base Star to reappear at the very end. Overall I liked it, I thought the final battle was just amazing FX, which was the reason the show ended so soon, too expensive, but I think it went out in a interesting way.

After seeing more of a preview to Caprica I am not so sure this will be a good idea, but I will give it a chance.

I sure hope that all the crew brought space axes or something to cut down trees and build some cabins.

Caprica looks like it might be good. Caprica will be a straight to DVD movie coming out soon.

I also really liked the ending!!!!!! Yes leaving technology behind was hard to grasp and many people going to live on their own was odd but it was a good ending! Like Torn said the battle was AWESOME. Would have liked to know about Starbuck though, never really got into the explanation of her dead body.

Torn Rose 2009-03-21 01:20 PM

I think the idea is, Lee realized that humans were "not ready" for technology, so scrap it all and start over and I'm sure that idea worked great for about 149,000 years give or take a few years.

As for Starbuck I think that was a pretty cheesy explanation.... "oh, she is a angel".

mmm kay...

I just read "The Plan" was directed by Edward James Olmos.

Tommy 2009-03-21 01:23 PM
