Happy Thursday Thanksgiving...

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to you! (USA)

Have a great day Gobble Gobble.

ArtWilliams 2010-11-25 08:21 AM

Good Morning.

Nothing special here except I am going out to dinner tonight.

Have a great American Thanksgiving!

Ramster 2010-11-25 08:44 AM

Good morning.

Gonna work most of the day but likely will watch some football this afternoon. No turkey here but I'm sure I can wrestle up some chicken wings or other snack food. Enjoy the day!

Our stripper friend decided to stay for Thanksgiving. One of her stripper friends will also be joining us plus PamelaDoll and another lesbian couple.

So just a typical all American family get together of strippers, hookers, trannies and lesbians at our home today. :D

Did all my cooking last night for today's dinner.

Pasta in a pesto sauce.
Quote:

13.25 oz package of Whole Grain Pasta
1 tube of Amote Pesto Paste
1/4 chopped fresh oregano
4 cubes of vegetable bouillon
1/4 olive oil
.9 oz (3 packages) sun died tomatoes
.7 oz package of sliced frozen mushrooms

Bring a pot of water to a boil and add in pasta. Cook until tender. (About 2 min.)

Chop the sun died tomatoes until finely chopped.

In a bowel mix the chopped sun died tomatoes, pesto paste, oregano, vegetable bouillon, olive oil, mushrooms and add in 1/4 water. Heat mixture in microwave 4 minutes on high.

Drain pasta and add in everything stirring until all is mixed well.

Tofu Baked with in Lemon Rosemary Marinade

3 pounds firm tofu, rinsed, patted dry, and cut into 3/8 thick inch slices
1 1/2 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 ounce minced fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 cup olive oil

Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a blender mix all the ingredients for the marinade. Pour the marinade into a baking pan Slice the tofu into 3/8 inch thick slices and place in a single layer in a baking dish.
Flip each piece of tofu over so that the marinade coats each side.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the marinade has been absorbed.
Also this side dish
Quote:

Rutabaga Casserole

4 rutabagas
4 carrots
10 oz package of shredded carrots
1/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup vanilla soy milk

Peel rutabagas and cut into large cubes. Place in cold water and bring to a boil. When fork tender, drain.

In microwave cook shredded carrots for 4 minutes.

Mash rutabagas with shredded carrots, sugar, and butter.

Place in oven at low temperature to keep warm. Cover so that the dish will not dry out. If it does, stir in a little soy milk.
But last night our house guest insisted on also having turkey for some odd reason so now the vegetarian is also cooking a dead bird this morning, fucking gross.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all of my US friends :)

Sounds like you're in for a he'll of a good day Cleo |thumb

Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

Bird is in the oven, and I have time to chat with Licker, and get some work done before I have to get everything else ready.

Turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed taters & gravy, sweet potato puff, broccoli & cauliflower with cheese sauce, cranberry sauce, apple salad, crescent rolls, pumpkin cheesecake, and peach cobbler....and of course, southern sweet tea to drink.

MrMaryLou 2010-11-25 09:49 AM

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving :)

Dinner with friends on the schedule for later, then relaxing and a nap if things go as planned.

Wishing a good day (with a seat at the big table) to all.

:)

Good morning everyone and Happy Thanksgiving day. I'm staying home this year instead of going to my father house for dinner just because my better half is working as caterer at one big party today.

This is why we go out to the Casino and eat, Jim can have all the turkey he wants and I don't have to cook it. And they always have good steamed veggies and salads I can eat.

I wish someone other than me would eat your pasta, that sounds really good!

Morning all! Thinking of taking a break from work today for the holiday. The tendon in my left arm is so sore, I can hardly grip anything, and I know it is from too many hours using the mouse, like tendinitis gone insane. Pain from my elbow down. Then again, I just might say screw it and keep on working.

Have a great holiday all, and remember to give thanks for all you have. I'm so blessed to have a house, a job, food to eat, and good friends. Many people today don't have that. |virgohippy|

RedCherry 2010-11-25 10:31 AM

Simon, that poster is so creepy.

Good Morning And Happy Turkey Day :)

I could care less about the turkey, just load up my plate with side dishes!

Did a little work this morning because I couldn't sleep. Gonna crawl back in bed for a bit before guests start arriving.

Very true RedCherry. I easily forget how fortunate we are compared to so many in this country and the world.

Us europeans dont really understand, nor celebrate, this event ... but ehm, can someone explain to me what its about?

The way I understood it ... the american settlers were starving, the native indians gave them food - and they threw a party for them ... then later on massacered them & chased off the survivors ... and now its all being celebrated by stuffing things up the bottom of turkeys ...hmmm
