A Note from the Kedvessy family:

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Julius F Kedvessy on Sept 30, 2021.

Husband, father and all around stubborn asshole, his personality was larger than life and nothing could slow him down. Julius was forever on the run with various projects and businesses to occupy his time, constantly filled with new ideas of what new adventure he could partake in.

He was forever quietly doing things to help others without ever wanting any credit for himself. Even if he was incredibly opinionated he was always his most authentic self.

There is so much more and not enough words to describe the man that Julius was.

He is survived by his wife of over 46 years Sandra Kane and his three children Alex Kedvessy, Diana Cerovich and Nicole Kedvessy as well as their partners. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Laszlo, his sister Eniko and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as so many friends and family all over the world.

He is leaving every single one of us telling him to "Fuck off" one last time.

Such a cool guy! You will be missed JFK

His wake is the 16th of October in Oshawa.

I see a huge event is planned at the theatre. Will anyone be going?

I would if I was home in Ottawa, it;s only 3-4 hour drive but I am in Arizona so I cannot :(

How was the celebration?

I watched some of it online, it seemed good. All they showed, while I was watching, was a slide show of photos etc |thumb

The wake went very well. Looked as though his entire family was there, a couple of them flew in from the UK to be there. An emotional night with laughs as well.

It started at 6pm, but speeches didn't really happen until about 8:30 or so. A few of us spoke, Sleazy (Scott), myself, and Ophelia even said a few words. It was really nice to see those who came out for it. A few of them I had not seen in years.

Its hard seeing people pass you've known for years, had relationships with, had fun with... Never thought about this things til I passed 50.

Yes I did talk to RW for awhile. As for photos from the event, those of us who attended posted a few on FB during the weekend, but I did see some others taking pictures including his brother Lazlo, so who knows, some pics may end up on FUBAR at some point, or perhaps JFK's own FB timeline.

Glad to hear you and RW were there to represent Adult. I wanted to zoom it but timezones were not friendly. Still there are no better adult reps than you and RW to see him off as he wanted it. Best news for today.
