While I do hate those fucktard monkeys at Pornhub, this is still bad for the biz as a whole :(

I understand you. But if you are not involved in illegal activities like these guys are, the negatives will be short-lived. Scamming has been a part of the adult vertical since the 90's. Sadly enough.

Back in 98 SWIM found some coding that would "click" when you moused over a link. SWIM think's they may have shut down one PPC company, as they stopped paying SWIM after a couple months, then went belly up a couple weeks later |couch|

*SWIM: Someone Who Isn't Me :D

*IF* they had adhered to the same rules we do, they would be in the clear. None of us here publish anything that we either don't have the right to use or we don't have the actual 2257 docs in hand. When you allow user uploads, you are simply putting a target on your back because those users don't care at all for the rules. If it was consensual, where's the 2257? Where's the model release? Don't have them, don't publish. They didn't care about that and just looked to the money. They have had more than ample time to clean up their acts.

Overall not good for our industry. Pornhub had their processing shut down over 6 months ago and since then, Mastercard has come up with new rules which essentially say "if someone wants their content removed from a website, it must be removed or you risk us dropping you for processing". This means a model you PAID, she signed all the releases and so on can come back to you 4 years later and say Remove my content! I'm a teacher now. If you don't, buy buy processing.

This is why things like this are bad for our business as a whole. It draws attention to our industry that is not needed and not wanted.

Agree with Ramster ... and even Greenie ...

While punching at the pricks is wonderful, it leaves us all with a headache in this case

Ive been dealing with this shit since 2018. I even discussed it here on this board and crickets.

The thing for program owners to do is to get out in front of this as much as possible.

Going forward this means you can pay less for content. You can also ask models to waive their rights.

In Japan, the business, as corrupt as it is, was able to get the police to accept 5 year terms. Then, if a model chooses to remove content, the studio can make an offer to keep the content live pointing out that pirates will still have the content in distribution and the studio offers to pay a renewal fee. Most models here realize the fultility of complete removal, so change the models name and you may have a solution.

Now that production is at a near stand-still models are resorting to escorting any doing anything for a buck to survive. STDs and AIDS are on the rise as a result.

This has been coming for a long long time. I think the GirlsDoPorn trials are much worse for the industry. Wait til politicians start asking if porn should be legal at all.

Its still a fun board and I love you all. It seems like most folks have a Plan B going so October may not be as bad as we think.

sarettah 2021-06-22 11:29 PM

First a caveat. I hate the tubes with a passion and hae since they started coming on all the way back in '05 or so.

With that said however, the establishment generally does not see any difference between the legitimate adult businesses and the pirates and they don't care to see them. They paint with a very broad brush and would be very happy to see all adult businesses just disappear.

A win against pornhub, in their eyes, is a win against the industry. I think the cc company's reactions to pornhub of only a harbinger of what they would like ot do to the industry as a whole. While the cc companies love the money that adult brings in they hate the stench that the establishment attaches to adult content and at a certain point they would just rather not deal with it.

Just my take on it.

Yeah and that's a shame because we need other places to counter the zoo and the xbiz stuff. Used to be dozens, now there are just a few.

I still like the forum structure and it pains me to go to discord and slack groups :(

Exactly.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I will say its hard to see the difference from the outside when adult companies partner with thieves etc. And nobody wins politically when siding with what Google staffers once called adult as a "dirty fish bowl."
We've made it way too easy for them. And you can bet this is just the tip of the iceberg.

As for the board, tbh, its my favorite board. The willingness for members to reach out and give solid advice is like no other place IMO.

That was the goal from Day 1 way back in April 2003 |shake|

New rules being implemented by Mastercard. Will be a major change, massive maybe, for sites that wish to have Mastercard as a payment option.

Very similar rules were put into effect in April, 2018 in Japan. Business is still trying to find its footing.

I expect this move by Mastercard is just the beginning.

18 years later and still going strong, though less in numbers.

When I ask questions to this board its because I need real answers if anyone knows anything. gfy and xbiz are useless for anything but sales pitches and trolls.
