Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The Bitch asked me to put up a new curtain rod in my mom's room yesterday. Remove 4 screws from the wall, 4 screws for the new brackets, put up rod, Bob's your uncle. 5-10 minute job MAX, right? I go to take off the old brackets & one of the screws is stripped. It won't come out, I can't drive it forward to hide it, there's not enough sticking out the bash it with a hammer until it breaks, I don't have one of those stripped screw remover bits for my drill, so I grab the vice grip, lock that sucker on & start turning & turning & turning & turning...the asshole that put this bracket up used a 3 inch wood screw & actually hit a stud dead center |facepalm|

Shit like this happens EVERY|facepalm|FUCKING|facepalm|DAY

Today's simple task? My niece needs a bed & my stepdaughter has an extra that she wants to get rid of. So I get to take that apart, jam it into my SUV (I don't think it'll fit, but The Bitch does, so why bother measuring, right?), drive out to my niece's house & put it back together. I have ZERO confidence this will go anywhere close to smoothly.

I wish my body could decide, it has been floating in and out of a cold (or flu) for days now. So many people sick atm.
So, while practicing for the gig today I lost my voice. I also forget the lyrics since I struggle with concentration.
Tomorrow is last day of the course I've been assisting. Rest of the day is busy as well. On Saturday and Sunday there are St. Louis visitors in town, which I'm partly host for, will serve dinner on Sunday, for instance. Monday is also fully booked.
So I basically have no time for either practicing or being sick. |catfight||banghead|

Wish I had a girlfriend, then I could ask to see some |boobies|.
Guess that would have solved everything.

Good Morning :)

We actually have real rain for a change. So glad I covered most to the track. Of course I know am seeing other issues that will have to be dealt with in the near future.

Car as it the dealer and should have it back by tonight which is good because I have an appt for tomorrow mid morning to put my new Summer tires on.

Other than this I have to do some biz work/project that will have me busy for a number of days that I cannot ignore.

Oh, that sounds like shades of our dishwasher, Greenie. When we bought this house, there was a tiny toy-like dishwasher that worked well at first, then died. I have been handwashing everythink for over a year. Well, the inlaws said they wanted to buy a dishwasher for us for Christmas. Very cool, right? Husband had measured the cabinet space earlier, and without a single word to me, ordered the new dishwasher. It was too big for the cabinet area. His solution? Cut that one cabinet away from the string of cabinets. There is still one on each side, right? Well, there is a rather large stainless steel countertopthat was resting on that particular cabinet. They chopped it all out and slid the new dishwasher in. There is now a nice 2" gap between the top of the dishwasher and sagging countertop (which sags a bit more each day) Husband said he planned it all, and then looked shocked when I showed him the now-messed up countertop. I am getting used to this large dishwasher I guess. It's nice, but way too big for just 2 of us. I either do half loads every 3 or 4 days, or wait for a week. I had absolutely no say over what we were getting. (Evil part - we are out of clean coffee cups for breakfast in the morning. The dishwasher isn't even half full. I am saying nothing... )
