Do you use it?

I use it on all my free sites and galleries.

The only place that has ever declined because of it was Richard's Realm and is one of the reasons I stopped submitting there.

Analytics is absolutely essential. There's no reason to not have it.

How about Piwik would that still get accepted?

Its like a self hosted Anylytics

Piwik and other from this thread should do fine in my small world

AS long as it is incorporated into a website and works the same I probably wouldn't even notice you were using Piwik instead of Analytics.

I have used Piwik in the past and submitted galleries without encounting any issues from the sites I submitted to.

Lot's of reasons not to use it imho. Google may use data against you.

What are you basing this on?

If you're a legit webmaster, I can't see where using it would hurt you :D

I agree, use it. I have yet to encounter any negative impact from using it on an adult site.

I use www.histats.com, but any program like that is fine by me they all help determine where your traffic is coming from.

I prefer it over analytics. Just seems more intuitive to me...

As far as my submitters are concerned, seems like the ones using these tracking scripts are very serious about what they do. I welcome them.

I agree with this. Sometimes I get lazy and don't put it on a site, but I tend to go back and look at where my traffic came from to a site I submitted over the past month or so, to make decisions on where to submit, or what keywords it has picked up.

We use it on our free sites and our tours for juicybunny.

processor was saying we have 50k in clicks but actually only 4386 uniques...with 25 joins i am happy. just need more traffic.

I use GA on a couple sites, but prefer statcounter

I miss sextrack that was the best :) And i had a trick to get some good traffic out of the system too, targeted clicked traffic free :)

I've heard mixed things about it so no not yet.

Idiots trying to game google fear it.

Been using GA since it was first available and still looked like Urchin.

I bought Urchin for all of my servers as stats on own server are much more reliable. I don't see any benefits from GA at all.

Your data in hands of third parties like Google means giving up information to them and to competitors. I simply don't like that idea.

GA is a really cool tool. I have it on all my sites and I'm not sure I could live without it. Been using Webmaster Tools from Google also, I find that quite helpful

Can Piwik be used on a virtual server with 100s of other sites on that server?
