I flew to Cabarete Dominican Republic Saturday and am here now. Thinking of spending some winters here, maybe even buy something, who knows, but with Covid and things not fully open I figured it was a great time to check it out. The wife is not with me as she is going to visit the daughter in Los Angeles late next week. I'll be here for 1 month, rented a condo near the beach. Why would I be here doing "recon" on spending winters here? 2 reasons, weather and money. It's 32C/89F for the next week |thumb and for football yesterday I went to a bar yesterday to watch NFL games, I had a club house sandwich with fries and 6 beers (3 large and 3 regular) and it was 1275 pesos, $28 Canadian/$22 US |banana|

I will be working as usual from the condo, internet is good here. So that's the plan today, work work work |loony|

My son and daughter bailed on dinner yesterday. Fuck them.

It's Canadian Thanksgiving here so no one is expecting much from anyone today. Doing some personal paper work here. TV is in the mix I am sure.

My stepdaughter's birthday is tomorrow, so we're having the family over for dinner. If it makes Art feel better, I know her sister won't be in attendance :D

Have fun Ramster, one month work/vacation away from the wife sounds like bliss.

We have another heatwave this week though it should be only in the upper 80's.

Today is the start of my fast day after breakfast here in a minute. Plus I like to skip political news as well so it should be a nice break from that as well.

Need to run to the post office and go to grocery store so when I break my fast tomorrow I have options :D

After that I do need to go outside and do some work so I can finish it this week, finally.

Unfortunately I found other issues at the backside of my property while I was poking around yesterday to see what's next and this has to be taken care of before we start getting any rain or I'll have big problems |banghead|

Doing lotsa tedious work today with no hockey on ehhhh

Pushed hard on stuff today, trying to catch up from some nasty little stomach bug that has been coming and going for about 10 days now. FIL has his cataract surgery on Wednesday, so The Husband and I are sneaking away for some time together before he spends most of his time helping to care for his dad and driving his mom around. Nice quiet time for me... thankfully. I need to figure out how to get the yard work done, like how the riding mower and weedeater work. We didn't do anything for our anniversary, so this is a nice break. (We never do - his mother's birthday is the day after our anniversary, and we are too broke to do 2 major events that close together.

Sigh.. back to it..

Poor man can buy a lot here, it's elcheapo :D
