Is this loading slowly for you???

If someone on east coast, canada or europe check this link and tell me if it's loading painfully slow for you I would appreciate it.

New server seems extremely slow from where hippy and I are at, traceroute shows an issue for my account but not hippies. Would like to know if other locations are seeing the same thing.

I'm on my iPhone using LTE and it loaded fast.

JustRobert 2013-12-13 08:45 PM

Thank You Cleo!!!

Really good to know it's just a route to my area and not everyone!

It was taking 15 seconds to load the whole page for me.

Of course after I added this thread and sent a trouble ticket things are picking up here (it's now only 5 seconds) thou still too slow and not as fast as it use to be but moving in the right direction :)

Fonz 2013-12-14 04:36 AM

Came up for me pretty fast too.

Simon 2013-12-14 08:06 AM

Maybe 7-8 seconds to fully load here.

RedCherry 2013-12-14 11:17 AM

Slow load here, so might be something in the west coast routers. I gave up waiting for the last few thumbs to load.

ArtWilliams 2013-12-14 11:25 AM

About 9-10 seconds in Toronto.

JustRobert 2013-12-14 12:32 PM

Thank You All |shake|

I have referenced this thread in my trouble ticket a second ago in an effort to help get this fixed. Hate to say it, but I'm kinda glad others are having issues and not me alone.

It's a dedicated server so I'm sure they will get this worked out as I can load |virgohippy| stuff lightning fast and he is on the same host, like others from around here.

javbucks 2013-12-14 02:25 PM

Slow, about 15 seconds. 35MBps connection.

RedCherry 2013-12-14 02:25 PM

I had issues with my sites loading slow for me recently too, and with Phatservers, it was issues with the route was going from San Diego, to Seattle back to La and a few other hops then finally to Las Vegas and out to me. It was really crazy. They re-routed me and my sites sped up for me, so I'm thinking that might be the issue with you too.

RedCherry 2013-12-14 02:29 PM

Another thing to check is your email boxes. One time my server was slow, and after we went crazy trying to figure out what it was, found out I had some of my mailboxes with a ton of spam. When the server was going through gigs of email to check them, it was slowing everything down.

I have different users in directadmin, and so it would make an email user@whateverdomain.com and I really didn't check those.

Fonz 2013-12-14 03:00 PM

Tried it again and now it took 12 seconds before it came up.

JustRobert 2013-12-14 08:27 PM

Thanks again to all checking it further.

There was a possible issue they corrected to see if that improves response.

My new test was still 6 seconds to load that gallery versus 30 seconds this morning (like I was on dial up or something).

This still is too slow especially when it use to be about 1 second normally.

I just tested a gallery (roughly the same size) on a different account same host and it was 1 second so I surely know it can and should be faster. Staying calm knowing they will kindly find and fix this, hopefully soon.

RedCherry, nice to see you again and thanks for info. Unfortunately I know this should not be an issue for I have never set up a single email box under this host.

Yea, well the ones that filled up for me were emails I didn't set up either, but were automatically made by directadmin when I set up a user account. Error logs and cron job info goes to them automatically by the server.

I just found some of mine pretty full, and Mike at Phatservers turned off the cron job emails that were going to those, so it should help.

It took about 9 - 10 seconds for that gallery to load using a different browser (so it wasn't cached) so it is loading a LOT faster than it was earlier for me.

JustRobert 2013-12-14 09:22 PM

Thanks again RedCherry for that info. I will bring that up with them tomorrow if things are still really slow.

I did just do a round of gallery subs and a couple of places I thought were going to say too slow but didn't. Thou there was 1 place that did even thou I tried about 5 times. Funny thing is I am pretty sure they are hosted at the same place so I'll try that again tomorrow and hope for the best.

RedCherry 2013-12-14 11:45 PM

You are welcome! I hope you get it fixed soon. I hate mystery errors / problems.

Me Too!

So frustrating because everything worked fine and dandy right up until the hard drive failed |cry|

Greenguy 2013-12-16 08:36 AM

3 days later, without reading any replies...

It took 2 or 3 seconds to connect, then almost instantly loaded about 75% of the images, then 2 or 3 seconds, then the rest magically appeared!

JustRobert 2013-12-16 11:32 AM

Thanks Greenie and I was actually seeing far worse first thing this morning

BUT then I went to feed the cats and do a couple things and came back to an email stating they tweaked something in Apache |pray|

Check It Again...Check It Again...Check It Again |bananna||jackinthe|bigsanta|

MeatPounder 2013-12-16 11:55 AM

Loads in a flash now :)

Simon 2013-12-16 12:32 PM

That may be a little too fast now. :D

ecchi 2013-12-16 02:11 PM

Fast enough in the UK.

RedCherry 2013-12-16 02:31 PM

Big improvement, all but two thumbs loaded in a second or so, and those only took another second or two more. :)

JustRobert 2013-12-16 03:57 PM

Thank you all for checking! Everything seems back to normal here which has lightened my stress level greatly :D

SheepGuy 2013-12-16 11:22 PM

Very fast here in Brampton ;)
