It's wierd to be running out of sponsors
 

Remember when there were many sponsors to choose from?

Now, with companies like DEE and manwin buying up everything and turning once good sponsors into never-updating card-banging deserts, I'm running out of sponsors.

I looked thru the GG&J sponsor listing and it was no help at all - which is discouraging as fuck. No way to sort out the desert sponsors from what few may be left that are worth promoting and might even be alive next year.

My fave niches seem particularly impoverished. It's scary.

I tried using google - not much luck. Used to be if you typed in (niche) adult sponsor useful results came up. Masybe if I go deeper into the results...

Anybody have any suggestions on places that have sponsor reviews that can be trusted?

Or ways to get better sponsor info?

What niches are you interested in ?

I sometimes search the Internet for new sponsors, too. It's good to have an exclusive sponsor that has not been over exposed all around the net but there's always the risk of not beeing paid... I've been fucked so many times, my ass still hurts...

In this particular case I was searching for teen anal.

With content suitable for use in freesites, and that protects their brand from the tubes. And is not Dee or one of the sponsors of which one should be suspicious.

Ordinarily I don't even like to mention what niches I am interested in, but I'm not sure it matters anymore, in this shrinking puddle.

You also have to remember that you're looking for as very specific niche - I have a Teen Anal page & I know there's not a lot of Teen Anal paysites out there.

I don't see things changing much neither. I think more companies will be bought out or will go out of business.

Dee is bad yes but Manwin does at least update their sites, just look at Brazzers.

I'm still undecided about the Manwin thing but I am sure that they are way better than Dee.

What has Manwin actually done with Brazzers? Are their tubes still full of non owned stuff?

I'm even considering moving some traffic away from one of my long standing sponsors, and actively starting to research replacements for a bunch of niche sites!!!

I used to like the brothersincash content, but they are doing a terrible job protecting their stuff from tube exploitation, and you see dozens of their vidz all over the tubes, many marked with watermarks from sites that only exist to funnel traffic from teh tubes. It's sad to see - and it makes one feel, "what's the point?".

They never sold as well as I thought they should, considering the looks of their girls.

Then I started studying the movies, and I realized that even tho they like the teen anal niche they don't actually do it all that well, their girls are great but their movies don't really understand the niche - maybe thats why they dont sell as well as they should.

A site that really understood the niche would sell much better.

I like your tours, I like your models. The tours are better than average I'd say.

Your one anal site (the only one I saw at least) has lower than average looking content in your fhg samples, and the content examples you show totally miss and misunderstand the niche.

I'm sure you dont think they do, but they do.

Still, there's some nice stuff there. I've looked at your program before and will look again.

The question that remains to be answered, and which can only be answered by joining and examining your backend, is do you set up your content supply in such a way that it's useable by builders who aren't just doing gallerys, tgps, or tubes.

It's amazing how many sponsors do a lousy job of understanding the different ways affiliates might want to use their content.

you and me both. I understand that the sponsor and content sector is kind of frozen these days, waiting to see what direction the digital content problem will break, but it's strange to see just how paralyzed they are.

Yes I do. It's easiest to sell a niche you understand and enjoy yourself.

It's really sad to see how few sponsors understand the niche - and then I study how this or that sponsor is handling their other niches, and I realize that it's shocking how few sponsors really understand ANY of teh niches they build sites for.

back in the day, I figure, you could get away with just picking a few images that the artist behind the tour understood intuitively were hot, then just throw up any content at all and hope that some was decent.

One of the ways in which paysites could compete with the FREE FREE FREE model that digital copying of content makes viable is to really truly understand and develop their niche.

To work on the STORY and the psycho-emotional hooks of their content.

yet few do a good job of that.

I suppose I should take a look at brazzers.

I havn't been especially moved by their content, which is of course all over the tubes, but frankly I have never studied their tours and programs.

It's always been my habit in the past to zig when everyone else zags, so when everyone started to be all brazzers brazzers brazzers I thought - "if everyone is going there, I'll do better saleswise by going someplace else...".

It's old fishing lore, lol - don't stand where everyone else is standing, look for that little spot that is harder to get to, but not all fished out.

Brazzers still shoots content and updates all of their sites and tours. For their entire paysite network they shoot 150 scenes a month.

The numbers I've been given say: Their tubes today go by this model... roughly 20-25% DVDs they bought and uploaded, 50% sponsor uploaded promo clips and videos, 25-30% user uploaded content.

They do not take down a video with a watermark on it until they get a DMCA. Why? Some people upload watermarked videos to get name recognition so until there's a DMCA they leave it.

Most tubes go by this model as well except for the offshore guys that do not care if they get a DMCA (xhamster for one). So it's good when a Canadian or US company owns a tube, it's easy to get your videos removed if you want them removed. I personally have asked TNAFlix to remove my content before and they have without a problem.

You could always buy some content, and build an AVS site, and promote yourself. That model still works well for me, and I get most of my income from my own sites. |thumb

adultlabs.com has some great content in that niche as far as looks. (not sure on the English speaking though, haven't listened to the movies)

Except for my 3D work, none of my avs sites are original content, but I'm promoting a sites only I promote, so they aren't as oversold as other sites.

netverifier.com is my #1 avs adult-empire.com number 2 (you can let others promote you too with them) sexkey.com number 3.

adultlabs content is good lookin stuff, I wish that company had been around in earlier years.

Maybe you are right. I rarely make avs sales nowadays, a few hundred a year anymore, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

I'd rather find somebody else's site making good use of adultlabs content.

But, that's arguably lazy of me. Lazy, or cowardly.

I dunno dude, I haven't been big on talking to sponsors, it's usually a waste of time.

About the only time I do is to ask for the right to go in the sites and download content for clipping, to make freesites and galleries.

I started in AVS a lot of years ago, and never stopped. Rebills with them have saved me. |thumb Admittedly, I've had issues with companies closing and lost money, but I think the last 3 I use are here to stay.

Yea, it is a LOT more work. I have to design my sites, all my banners, tgps, etc plus keep them updated, so I can understand what you mean. And MadHatter and I also create all our own 3d content, so it all keeps us busy. |headbang|

We allow this, we usually give passes for reviewing and/or for taking some content for making custom galleries.

I just wanted to know your opinion and maybe get some advice from you regarding our promo tools. What is good, what is not, what could be added. We really appreciate feedback from webmasters and every useful feature is going to be added sooner or later. I wouldn't take much of your time :)

The way the game is played is changing. I think you'll continue to see sponsors disappear until they're nearly gone altogether; that is, unless drastic action is taken.
