Good afternoon. Yea I had a feeling the Cowboys would pull that one out, not sure why. Some other teams pulled it out late too.

Hockey season is in full swing. |bananna|

Good evening. :D

My account that owned the restaurant now is starting up a movie production company.

Today I designed their logo and cards. They are also going to have me design a website that will be constantly updated.

You are too good for a movie company's website. From trawling the various film company sites a year or two back I came to the conclusion that film people never hire talented web designers They only ever hire cowboys who are using a free downloaded web design program and a stack of old public domain templates from the last century. And they appear to be working on their first ever website design!

(Although if they do let you design a site that is any good, use it as a "calling card" to show the rest of the industry what a website should look like!)

Thank you |bananna|

I'll get to design their website... providing this doesn't become another of the guy's never followed through idea.

I'm about to release my premium plugin and found out the name I had is already used. I've got to think of something else.... :(

What is the function of this plugin ?

HowlingWulf 2014-10-14 10:46 PM

In short it automatically queries YouTube for videos and makes posts from them, with descriptions & comments and such.

When you first mentioned this project I thought "bloody good idea" but I was under the impression you were making it for your own use. By "about to release my premium plugin" do you mean you are going to sell it?

However, By "plugin" I'm assuming you men "Wordpress plugin". Do you intend to create a general CGI version that can be used in other scripts? As I think that although there is a big market for this as a Wordpress plugin, there is an enormous market for it as a CGI program, usable on any type of website.

As ecchi said it should be very popular script, I myself have already use for it :)

How about YTtoWP for name |boobies|

HowlingWulf 2014-10-15 07:54 AM

Yes it's a WordPress plugin. YouTube is just the first site supported. I'll be looking to add support for other sites like Vimeo, DailyMotion, CollegeHumor, etc. but yes I also programmed it so I could eventually offer a stand alone php script as well. In fact every time I come close to release I think of something else.

So far the best name I have is either Content Grabber Pro or Video Spider Pro but am still thinking. (There will be a light, free version).

I forgot to mention it will keep querying for new content automatically, so your site updates with new content without you having to do much of anything...

When you start selling the PHP version I'll probably buy a full copy (if it is not too expensive, and if I have not just received a pile of bills). But as a WP plugin I'll probably only go for the light (free) version as I know bugger all about using WP (played with it a couple of weeks ago, decided it was bloated and unnecessarily resource heavy, so went back to my own script) and I'd only be using the WP version to muck about with WP a bit.
