Do you use Twitter for marketing adult?

Does twitter work for marketing adult products and sites?

Is there any guide to using twitter for adult?

Thanks

Greenie does. |greenguy| https://twitter.com/greenguy89

I don't know of a guide. I assume you simply post links and work on getting followers. It might be easier to get followers if you have a separate account for different niches.

I'm trying to, but fails to be consistent. It was easier before when you could prewrite a bunch and schedule them. Does anyone know such services still available?

There is a way to post links ahead of time having them scheduled to be released yes, Twistys, Babes, all the Mindgeek sites use them so posts show on weekends.

Marketing via Twitter is not just about posting links.

You need to interact with people. Comment and retweet other people's comments/posts. Doing this gives you much more exposure to other accounts not yet following you. You also need to comment outside of just slinging porn. Be creative, be unique, post some funny shit. Find some funny pics or post anytime something funny happens to you. Post regular crap too like "rough night last night, I need a Starbucks", "way to go Kings, only 3 more games to go #lakings" "damn I'm outta vodka, on to gin it is. Any gin drinkers? I'm tryin 7 with it" and you'll get responses. Show a "human" side, not just hey look at my porn links. People unfollow those porn only slingers quickly.

I use a Wordpress plugin on a few of my sites that will tweet new posts automatically. I think the highest has about 250k followers.

Thanks for the replies. The key it seems is gaining enough followers to be worthwhile and to be somewhat creative in posting.

I am going to say no. Most of my followers are not real people. My biggest sales are from folks looking for something in particular. On my primary account, I engage with folks. On the secondary account I consistently post niche specific teasers. The first one gives me credibility for SEO etc. The second one makes me money.

No one follows me unless it's their porn handle. No way a guy is going to follow me on the same account his family and co-workers follow. Never going to happen. Never.

This is what I feel as well. Alright, I haven't really tried to build up followers and most of them are just other porn-people anyway.
The reason I want to be more consistent with Twitter is more for the SEO than anything else. But I haven't sat down to figure out how to do that best. And by all means, If twitter generated sales, it would be nice, ofcourse |loony|

I understand Google is using Twitter as one signal for authority or credibility or whatever. I started following @Alyssa_Milano because her tweets seemed to really stand out. They were informative, funny, personal and when she was promoting something all of the above. I would follow her and @MattCutts. Watch how they work their accounts and do the same with your own personal twist. It's a lot of fun once you get a hang of it and a great resource when planning projects. I would suggest following and engaging people in your niche, but personally I have never found anyone within adult entertainment who consistently did anything beyond providing links to their own site(s). Sad but true.

I created one for DTI Cash, I should use it more because there's a decent amount of followers.

Few years ago I have build custom plugin that allows users to tweet their submissions to my twiiter account. Always few extra clicks and annually its quite the number.
But you have to be consistent and systematic. Ive noticed that abandoned t accounts are loosing followers and its harder to gain new ones when starting after break. Just 2c.
