I'm a huge Marvel fan, both figuratively & literally, so I was excited when Disney+ released WandaVision a couple weeks ago because, aside from the 2nd Spiderman movie, we've had NOTHING since Endgame. They're only putting out 1 episode/week |angry| so I let 3 pile up & watched them the other day. Not good. In fact, they were so bad, I almost didn't watch the 4th episode that came out on Friday... but I did and WOW! SOFAKING HAPPY!!
It reminded me of reading the 1st Dirk Gently book by Douglas Adams. The 1st 7 or so chapters had NOTHING to do with each other, but seeing as I (obviously) LOVED The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, I read on & was so glad that I did. This is kinda like that, in so much as I had this WTF?! feeling, but now it's making sense & I can't wait til next Friday |thumb *Side Note I: The outro music for the 4th episode is Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix and that being my favorite song of his may be contributing to this, but how they used it at the end & over the credits gave me legit goosebumps (I know, I'm a dork) **Side Note II: They're bringing back smaller characters from some of the movies. Kat Dennings is back as Darcy Lewis (Natalie Portman's assistant in the Thor movies) and Randall Park is back as Jimmy Woo (the detective in Ant Man & The Wasp) and the 1st thing he did on screen had me|lol| They also have the sister of Maria Rambeau from Captain Marvel in a role, so they're tying EVERYTHING together. |
Sounds like I should maybe get around to watching Wanda Vision. I just finished The Boys season 2 on Prime so need something else to watch. I heard it was horrendous :D but you're saying if I drink my way through the first 3 episodes it gets better? Ok |thumb :D

E4: 😲🤯🥳 So yes, wait it out |thumb |
We recently watched the following:
A Monster Calls - This was good, not what I was expecting and sad :( The Dig - I really enjoyed this one, a true story based on an archeological dig right as WWII started. Sweet Home - Series from Korea that thankfully had a dubbed version which was a mediocre monster/horror show. Finished my morning cartoon watching of Camp Cretaceous which I liked. Not sure what's next there. |
The Bitch & I watched The Little Things on HBO Max last night & it was pretty damn good |thumb I like how HBO Max is giving us some movies the same day they release in (25% occupied) theaters. It's already saved me from renting/buying |barf| Wonder Woman 1984
|
Grandson and I watched Alien TV. I had watched this as a morning cartoon but he had not so we watched the whole thing when he was here. He thought it was funny too.
I watched and liked the series Alice In Borderland which is Japanese and thankfully dubbed. Started Carmen Sandiego for my morning cartoons. Seems decent enough so far and it has a few seasons so I'll be watching this for a while. |
We watched Space Sweepers last night. It's a dubbed Japanese movie about space that's not animated and it turned out to be much better than I thought it would.
Coming in March is Pacific Rim: The Black which is an animated series based on the movies. More morning cartoons for me :D |
I binged Spycraft on Netflix last week. Short shows on some of the different aspects of espionage told by old guys with experience in the field. Pretty interesting stuff.
|
We watched Power Project with Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt last night. It was good, better than I thought it would be.

We just finished watching "Behind Her Eyes". Supernatural thriller that had us guessing right to the very end.

Yesterday I watched the movie I Care A Lot on Netflix & it was pretty good, but it felt more like a TV series than a movie (if that makes sense)
Then I binged S3 of The Sinner on Netflix & that was pretty good. Not as good as the 1st 2 seasons, but good enough |thumb I also watched The Who - Sensation The Story Of Tommy on Prime & that was a really good rockumentary |thumb |

We liked it and thankfully it was dubbed. Visuals were really good. There's another one coming but hear the new one is based off a game versus the one we watched based off a novel. I also finished all 3 seasons of Dark Matter which was a SYFY show that I enjoyed for my lunch time entertainment. |
Watched Coming 2 America last night & we|lol|'d a couple of times. Even though it was basically the same storyline as the 1st one, it's still worth the watch |thumb
|
Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 3 is coming on March 19 :D
Watched all 3 seasons of Dark Matter and I liked it. |
The Trial of the Chicago 7 on Netflix was really good |thumb |thumb
|
Finished my morning cartoon of Carmen Sandiego so I started the anime series Pacific Rim: The Black yesterday morning and then binged the rest at lunch time |thumb
Watched the documentary The Social Dilemma last night and I thought it was good. |
Does Dark Matter feel cheap? I mean, I like scifi as a genre, but Scifi channel shows always come across as a bit low-budget, if you know what I mean?
Been enjoying 'For all Mankind' on Apple, and 'Discovery of Witches' on Sky. |
Agreed, scifi channel is one of the worst places for good scifi :D

Yesterday I started the anime series Dragon's Dogma which is based off a video game for my morning cartoons but I ended up watching the rest at lunch time and it was pretty good. New season of Paradise PD starts tomorrow and this season looks super raunchy. I'll drag this one out by making it only my morning cartoon :D |
This is a big week for comic book nerds like me 🤓
Zack Snyder's Justice League (aka The Snyder Cut) premiers Thursday on HBO Max. It's supposed to be a completely different movie from 2017's Justice League & clocks in at just over 4 hours long! The Falcon and the Winter Soldier starts Friday on Disney+ |
Watched The Lost Pirate Kingdom which was interesting. It was a good show to watch/listen to while I worked.

We watched Mile 22 With Mark Wahlberg and this turned out better than I thought it would.

Finished Paradise PD new season which was super raunchy and still made me |lol|
Now onto Alien TV new season for my morning cartoons. Started Formula 1: Drive to Survive new season and it's still very good |thumb |
Yesterday I watched the documentary Belushi on Showtime & it was really good. It was all done with phone interviews of people that knew him & it dug pretty deep into his younger years.
I also watched the 1st episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ and they spared no expense on the special effects (unlike The Mandalorian). It looks interesting, but then again, I am an easy sell on Marvel :D My step-daughter's coming over tomorrow for the 4+ hour Zack Snyder's Justice League |thumb |
Wife and I binged Wanda Vision from D+ over 2 nights which we liked.
Greenie, glad you mentioned it was slow the first few episodes because we were lost there at the start but told the wife you said wait for it. We will probably do the same, as in wait till all episodes are streamable to binge, for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. |

Finished Formula 1: Drive to Survive 3rd season and I think it was their best so far |thumb
Maybe it's because the teams and drivers are now use to them being there. I hated that it ended, I want more :D |
Started watching S2 of Solar Opposites on Hulu and it was predictably|lol|
Then The Bitch came home, so we started to watch S1 of City on a Hill on Showtime. It stars Kevin Bacon as a dirty FBI agent in Boston in the early 90s. S2 started yesterday, so now seemed like a good time to start to watch the series. It's a good show |thumb |

So far it's great, and has re-newed my interest in F1. |thumb |
