Whois Info

I can't remember which linklists, but I remembering reading a rule
stating that your whois info MUST be public(i.e. private registration
is not tolerated). I was a little surprised to see the rule at more
than one linklist.

Can someone please explains the logic behind this rule?
Why would anyone ever want to leave their name and
address in public whois records on the internet?

Thanks.

What are you hiding?

Think about and it makes total sense - open and accurate accountability is critical in this industry.

Past and current performance of a number people that hide or have hidden their identity has been far less that exemplarily.

If you’re legal and legit, why would you need to hide your who-is info? I have to put my 2257 info out there for the world to see. For me, it's pretty much the same as the who-is.

And one has to ask, if don’t want to be openly associated with this industry, maybe you shouldn’t be in it.

It’s that same question I get for male actors – “can I fuck the bitch but not let anyone know it’s me?”|jester||jester||jester|

OK. I guess I understand now.

I was just a little afraid that putting up an address and phone number would be bad for privacy. I've known women who stalk their ex-boyfriends since their number and addresses are listed in the phonebook!

Just wondering if public WHOIS is the same thing as putting your info in the phonebook.

Have you ever been harassed by anyone that used your WHOIS to look you up?

There are some crazy people out there.

I figure if you realy are worried about someone tracking down something personal - you can always pay the $25 for the use of a LLC or Inc name - which in business would be a good idea anyway

That depends what state you're in - here in Colorado, all ownership is public - take a look at Colorado Secretary Of State search on Glass Mannequin Productions

If you want to know more about me, just go to the El Paso County page and you can find out about every property that I own, it's size, value, who I bought it from and for how much......

If you're worried about a stalker, get a big F'n dog - I would but I'd have to shoot it the frst time it shit in my yard....

What if you're not?
Being born German is most of the time a privileg except when it comes to adult biz.
You just cannot play the big game from inside Germany. As a German, if you want to
run an adultsite, you need to have age verification system. I don't know if there is
any country that requires personal verification when someone wants to watch
some porn. But I do know that if I want to be part of international business, I wouldn't
have a chance when following the legal rules of my country. So there is no other
chance for me than to register my adult domains with some company from Panama
or hide with whois protection. Don't wanna get busted by German legal authorities.

Thanks to all the cheaters I must live with getting rejected because of that fact my
Whois is private.

Fortunately some fellow colleagues inform one when blacklisting and then there is a slight
chance of clearing the situation by personal contacting and stating the facts. But most
just don't.

Hard, isn't it?
Now don't tell me to go find a real job. No more chances left, this is my job....

Greeting AJ,

I feel for you...

Hell, if there were any "real jobs" left in Germany, my ex would be working. Looks like slinging porn in Deutschland has become as difficult as keeping my Jagdschein - or worse yet, my explosives license - both of which have expired.

Didn't realise they were so strict in Germany. Always thought they were into porn, I remember as a teen watching a German porno with buddies |headbang|

I wonder if there's a message board located in Columbia that deals with buying & selling cocaine & if so, if US drug dealers post on there.

Bottom line is that my Link List is a legit business. If it's illegal for you to run a business of this kind in your area, maybe you should find one that is.
