Changes to how browsers deal with flash content

I just received an e mail re: the above, that may be of interest.

We would like to inform you about current changes of browser policies related to Flash contents.

A new feature has been recently released that serves the purpose of prolonging the battery life of notebooks by blocking the loading of Flash contents, which – from the browsers' point of view – serve advertising functions.
So far 2 browsers have installed this feature:
• Safari
The latest versions enable this feature by default. When blocking Flash content, the browser takes both its size and its position into consideration. Read more here.
• Chrome
The current Beta version (Chrome v44.x) enables this feature by default but it can be enabled manually in all current versions. When blocking Flash content, the browser takes its size, its position and its source into consideration.

Make sure the Flash content (the Promo Tool itself) is at least 400x300px large, which is big enough in size, to avoid being blocked by browsers.

I just read in one of our newspapers that there's a huge leak in Flash and that it's best that you disable flash all together until Adobe fixes the leak.
It looks like Flash has a bumpy road ahead...

Flash just totally sucks no matter what.

I just bought something online, and spent some time comparing the price on several websites to get the cheapest deal. This took about four times as long as it needed to take because most of the sites insisted on downloading enormous flash presentations before opening the page. I was not interested in these, as I had already decided to buy the product, I just needed price - and from one lucky seller, order details. But I wasted ages at my computer waiting for this pointless flash crap to download, and I have a fairly fast connection. If I still had my old slow 3G connection I would have given up.

The sooner Flash dies, the happier I will be!
