I've done lots of stupid things in my life and this is right up there.|huh

I have a 1TB RAID that has all my pictures, movies, music and a job archive along with some other junk. I also have TimeMachine backing up to a couple of drives that are connected to an AirPort Extreme. I noticed about a week or so ago that the AirPort was having issues and have been messing with it for a few weeks. Turns out that all its backups were incomplete and mostly corrupted. This weekend my RAID lost it partition map and wouldn't mount. So I was left with no backups and a corrupted RAID and corrupted backups. Spent the last two days using DiskWarrior to recover files off of the RAID plus my iPhone had all my music and pics. So happy that this time I bought the 128 gig iPhone as it had all my pics and music on it. Was able to get back all my music and pics. Lost a bunch of all the archived jobs along with all iMovie projects but I did recover a lot of the original movie files. |banghead|

Replaced my 10-year-old failing AirPort Extreme and bought a new AirPort Extreme yesterday at BestBuy so paid too much but I needed it right away otherwise I would have gotten it from Amazon for a lot less money.

Turns out that nothing in my house was being backed up. Now everything has a complete backup except my most important computer and its RAID, but it is in progress and should be done by the end of today.

Going to order another 2TB drive so that I can rotate my backups and keep on off-site in case of a disaster like fire or theft.

Other than that will probably go to the gym today and leave my work computer alone so that it will finish its first backup sooner.

Just got back from taking Rufus Pip to the vet. The sorta good news is that they want us to monitor his leg & treat it with an anti inflammatory & pain meds. The sorta bad news is that he does indeed have a heart murmur & they're keeping him for a couple hours to give him an echocardiogram, and then we go from there as far as how bad it is & how to treat it.

I updated earlier, so I'm gonna try & work a little more until I have to go to the chiro & then to pick up Rufus...

Damn Cleo what a mess with a double wammy.

Sink in the bathroom backed up first thing this morning. Was able to fix it (took an hour) but now my back is hurting again. Guess it's better than happening on Thanksgiving.

Should here about my car today and possibly the new water heater to be installed thou I will push the latter off till next week due to family showing up tomorrow.

Bunch of work and errands to run so better get to it!

No failing backups here thankfully. Usual day going as planned, work work work with errands which are already done. :)

Cleo - You remind me that I am overdue for a major backup.

Here it is still fucking cold! Wore my winter coat yesterday - not enough. Wore my winter coat with my spring coat under it - still not enough. May use my electric (heated) gilet tomorrow, if I can find it!
