Blogger officially is a non adult platform now

We all knew this one is coming but it was good while it lasted.

From Blogger police email:

Important Update to Adult Content Policy on Blogger

You are receiving this message because you are the admin of a blog hosted on Blogger which is identified to have Adult content.

Please be advised that on June 30th 2013, we will be updating our Content Policy to strictly prohibit the monetization of Adult content on Blogger. After June 30th 2013, we will be enforcing this policy and will remove blogs which are adult in nature and are displaying advertisements to adult websites.

If your adult blog currently has advertisements which are adult in nature, you should remove them as soon as possible as to avoid any potential Terms of Service violation and/or content removals.

Sincerely,
The Blogger Team
I have 30 or so adult blogs there and few of them have top keywords spots on page 1 and page 2 on Google. Another source bites the dust.

Glad I never went the free blog route.

I'm in a stage of constant search for drama. I feel better about myself reading about others mistakes or failures.

It's just so wild to me that he just grinds away in that fashion. For YEARS. Guy is such a kook.

Isn't that the first role of webmastering, host your own site

I have a friend who has a problem accepting that he is wrong. I don't just mean the usual macho problem with accepting infallibility, I mean that even when he knows he is wrong he cannot change his ways. A while back, at the age of 50, he was diagnosed as having mild Aspergers Syndrome. So perhaps that is this guy's problem too.

Free hosted blogs are like the worst possible net you could use.

Interesting reading...

Back to the original topic, if any of you use Tumblr either as way to push sponsors or as a through path to other websites, you need to read this:

Learn from others mistakes. Warren Buffet is a big fan of this.

Pagan 2013-07-05 09:58 AM

Should I feel cheated if the one adult blog I had there didn't get a notice? Maybe it's because it had no outright ads except for text (no banners) and it was all softcore. Hmmm...
