newbie question

How do I know when someone is trying to trade links, or trying to get content?

Jeffrey_L 2010-08-06 01:05 PM

It all depends. Are you using a script to do your link trading or?

Also what do you mean by " trying to get content "?

MadMax 2010-08-06 05:26 PM

Yeah, you need to be a little more specific about the question. Example?

Voltar 2010-08-06 06:23 PM

for link trades, usually they will email you, or if you have a trade script, they will fill that out..and you check back on the link from time to time to make sure it's permenant...

trying to get your content is another matter, are you meaning hotlinking your pics or movies...if you look at your server stats you will be able to see your reffers..there will always be some that you didn't submit to, that copy the other lists..but if you see ones using alot of hits/pulls from you..then follow it back and see what the place is and if they are hotlinking...usually a simple .htaccess in your content directory keeps that from happening and still allows you and your surfers access...

Your host should provide some sort of statistics.

To the Original Poster...

Are you really taking people's money for a "turnkey adult business website" based on them needing "absolutely no experience" and you have questions like this one?

Plus these other recent posts by you:

Yeah, I've been hearing some bad rap on them lately. Just can't really tell which info is legit or not nowadays. Sorry if I sound so stupid on this comment. (and) That's news! I thought Brazzers were pretty big

Sorry. I didn't know what I was doing was spamming. My bad.

Because I am a newbie here, can someone kindly dispense some advise on how to promote our Adult Turnkey site? It's $33.95 a month - all in. Also, we have an affiliate program that will pay you per...
This is definitely the wrong place to try to sell a turnkey site to foolish newbie webmasters who don't know any better. In fact, in this case, the one who is coming off as a foolish newbie is you.

So I repeat the question in case you didn't see the question mark. How the fuck can you sell people something and tell them they need no experience and that you offer "...tools, advice, tips and knowledge from our expert staff of industry professionals who have been working with porn for over 20 years" when you don't seem to know some very basic things?

If you really have this "expert staff" then why aren't they answering your questions? Why would industry pros be surprised that the Brazzers team owns/owned some of the biggest illegal tube sites and is currently ducking for legal cover? Or why wouldn't they tell you the difference between spamming a board when you join it versus slowly becoming part of the community and getting referrals based on the actual value you contribute? (no, Confucius quotes don't count.) And they couldn't even tell you how to promote the very Adult Turnkey site you're trying to get foolish newbies to pay you their money for?

Seriously, you need to use this...

good info to know there simon, i can only hope the help i gave really does help others seeking it and not those wanting to take advantage of new webmasters...
turnkey people who sell to those who have no net knowledge or eperience are just straight up stealing from them...
