Stolen Recips
 

I don't know if this is the right place to post but it's something that has been bothered me for quite some time now.

I kept receiving submits with recips to a site that looked almost like mine. I investigated a bit further and this is what I found out:

It seems he only changed a few values. I really don't understand why is it so hard to be a bit creative. I guess it's easier to steal someone's work :)

At my first glance I though border line. But at closer look it is too close. Both of your middles have no link. Some of his top phrases don't have likes on the first word like yours. Even a different shade of blue. Yeah I'd say it's too similar.

I found some one who ripped one of my freesite designs over the weekend.

I looked him up here and his board name is in red. I'm assuming he's banned.

Yah. I searched "andrej" and clicked on the first thread.

It was birthday post. Inside the post his name was "Red"

I would not let something like this bother me.

Its really just a table and it pretty much is/was the standard at one time.

Now if they was also using the same anchor text or had copied the actual site then I would probably have a problem.

You should GPL all world readable code. Whether you do or not, its going to be taken and used, even if just in snippets. If its GPL, you have contributed, if its some other license you've been ripped off. I'd rather contribute than be ripped off.
