British Board Members - I need some help :)

Could you see if you can find me some winter-flowering heather plants |jester| My garden would just look so much better with them!

Use plastic ones, they flower all year round. :)

Im not a British Webmistress, however, I did see winter-flowering heather plants at Home Depot this week.. try there maybe? (mind you thats in Canada) Im guessing this reply will be no use to you if you are in the UK.

Have you tried your local Garden center or B&Q or WH Smith do it all?

Im in the US - but this is really aimed at those silly British - who are selling more flowering heather now that theyve discovered that steeping the flower petals in vodka(or your other favorite beverage) for 20 minutes and drinking it gives the exact same effect as taking viagra |jester|

Ahhhhh ... no wonder BlueBrit was trying so hard to get me to buy some for our garden....:D

O goodie, now I am going to get 100s of spam emails trying to sell me heather !!!!

I just thought. Those Gypsies who come to the door selling "lucky heather" could change their sales spiel to "Heather for when you get lucky." :)

Linkster :)

Specifically what species of heather are you looking for?

Linkster 2007-04-02 06:10 AM

Urb - I think its known as Alpine heather - Erica carnea :)

I got all excited that I would be able to help somebody with a British issue until I read it was about plants. I am totally clueless about plant..though I am happy I have managed to keep a houseplant alive for more than a year.

We have a few garden centers (centres) close by... I shall investigate. :D

After further investigation... I have come to the conclusion that this was an April fools thread. :)
