surgery went well ( I guess), weird feeling to stare into really bright light with prohibition against moving a muscle. (Anywhere).
They've been inside my eye with sharp stuff!

Anyhow, I'm excited. The eye is now protected with a plastic shield, but I can already see that it has become better. Can't wait to remove the protection tomorrow morning!

I was in a funk for most of yesterday because, after 3 or so years of counting every penny we spent, I'm getting really worried about the amount of money we're spending, even though we have plenty of money to cover everything we've planned on spending this money on. I know |loony| I got out of the funk by making 250 or so thumbs |escape|

Working now, have to run the ASSIL to an appt at 9:30 & have to call our contractor so he can stop by & take a look at what we need done in the kitchen.

Speaking of the kitchen, The Bitch & I decided that we can do some of this ourselves, so Saturday the ASSIL & I will remove the existing cabinets (he's taking a lot of them) and on Sun & Mon, The Bitch is going to paint. Based on our past, none of this will go smoothly |facepalm|

I too worry -- always looking for the dark cloud in the silver lining. It's a good thing you have thumbs to make!

I've got a single day of work tomorrow so I've got to do some prep for it today, otherwise, it's me in front of a screen.

The ONLY reason I agreed with this is because there's minimal cutting, since the cabinets will go to the ceiling & floor. So I'll draw a line on the wall where the cabinets will be & you just paint a little over that line & Bob's your uncle :)

Yesterday, I was feeling a bit off and irritable. I could not figure out why. Today I know - my vertigo is back. Not just back, but the worst episode since the original diagnosis. It's not lethal by itself, there are no medications for it, and really not much to do about it except the exercises and wait. I freaking hate being dizzy. Spending time at the computer bothers me, so I try to put priorities on things and get those done first. (I got the birthday list for tomorrow and the day after done already) Those galleries I was going to build will have to wait until this lifts a little and I can handle more than an hour at the computer.

So, let's see what tomorrow brings.. this should be better because I have been making myself sick to the stomach doing the exercises...

We have been prepping and painting for a long ass time at this point. Going at it slowly. Did most of the exterior last year, still have the back and one side to do. Inside have the living room done, have a long hallway and kitchen still on the list. Then new tile n the foyer and re-do the hardwood. It never ends.

We got word over the weekend that my Father-In-Law had died. My wife flew out to the East Coast yesterday. I am flying out tomorrow. Our whole world is a mess for right now. :(

That's terrible! I hope it doesn't last long.

My wife's aunt passed away last month 2 days after we moved. Death is never easy to deal with, but when it happens in the middle of another major life event, it really fucks shit up :(
